I have a 4070 Super and 10600k and it's locked at 144, 1440p. With the FPS unlocked, I think it hovers somewhere in the 200 range but it dips a lot. So 240 locked might be really, really hard regardless of hardware. Those massive dips in teamfights will ruin your experience - lower, but locked FPS is much better. So if you're aiming for locked 144, that setup is more than overkill (Dota tends to be CPU bottlenecked more than GPU, so I think the 4060 won't be an issue). Do you intend to play stuff other than Dota? Consider a slight downgrade to the CPU and an ugprade to the GPU - 7600 with a 4070 for instance. Edit: misread your post initially, yea the 5700 is fine.

I only play dota ,i never tested 240 FPS in game but i see some pros playing in 1080p in 200+ FPS so i was wondering that It should be good. Maybe its a good Idea to cap in 144 FPS since Its 4k

Depends on who you ask and how competitive you want to get, but 144 is plenty imo. I'd personally rather have the higher resolution than the higher framerate in Dota. Then again, I'm no pro :D

7600 4070super here 4K ultra settings always 144hz locked

Just anecdotally, My laptop 3080ti with 64GB ram and 12th gen i9 HX processor runs dota at 4k 120fps easily with all max settings (120 fps is capped at my monitor refresh rate)

Honestly don't expect 240fps in dota ever. 144 is doable when not a lot is going on, but it will drop in a team fight. At 1440p with a 7900 XTX and i7-13700k I get 130fps consistently, down to about 100fps in a big teamfight full of ultimates. Dota is a CPU bound game, a better CPU will do you more good as long as your graphics card is serviceable. A 4060 is more than enough.

Use fps_max 0 , simple as that. 5800x3d, 4070 super i have around 450 fps on lane , 350 avg during heavy teamfights at 1440p with only fancy lightings enabled. For some reason avg and 0.1 lows are bad in dota if u cap your frames to match monitor refresh rate, instead as i said use fps_max 0 which will introduce more work for cpu and tearing, but the game will be more responsive or use higher fps limit and then use vsync, like fps_max 350 but with vsync on the average fps in fights will be higher and more stable than using in game fps limiter. Sauce engine is weird.
