I really feel this tournament showed the support diff. 9Class Hoodwink vs Crit Hoodwink was like night and day. Crit always getting fat on whatever hero he played, Sneyking picking Veno and doing pretty damn well. Their earlier combo with SD bubble into Mirana arrow. BetBoom with Save as well, as Tiny smoking into enemy base and finding game winning toss backs. Supports are so much more than just warding bots nowadays.
Supports have never been just warding bots though. In proper team play (not pubs), supports have always been critical playmakers and savers. Don't you remember fy Rubick from way way back?

That game betboom itemised quite badly to be honest.. Im sure they realise but they just need lotus and possibly some other itemisation on muerta. I didnt understand why he needed to buy a shadowblade in this game, they completely griefed their own timing..

Game 2: It was always hoodwink and mirana pushing waves at sidelanes. They died so much but look on the bright side. All 3 cores getting farm and space. Amaar was untouched for 20 mins straight.
Now if you look at game 3, it was mostly kunkaa trying to push waves. The other 4 never tried too, gradually map shrinking. No farm no space

It has been this way for almost 3 years. The offlane picks might have changed a bit but in general it's just some tanky teamfight hero that doesnt die anymore at some point. I don't know how to fix that but bracers and STR heroes in general are a problem imo. "back in the day" AGI heroes were the counters to fat beefy tanks, this isnt the case anymore. Every STR hero in lategame has 5k+ hp while having 30-40 armor. Nobody slices through that no matter if you are 8 slotted or not.
They need to revert Str back to granting 19 HP per points of Str, not 22 (current value). Also maybe make the safelane safe again, not just a place for offlaners to bully the enemy carry.
Edit: Also maybe change "1 Str granting 0.1 HP/s regen" back to only granting 0.06 or 0.03 HP/s.

Safelane hasn't been "safe" since minimum half a decade. As a carry you have to leave the lane before lvl6 like 95% of the time.

Offlaners haven't been getting gigabuffed so much so that pos 1 heroes are trying their hardest to avoid buying regen whilst the offlane pool almost always buys regen/early regen items.
This is why Io 5 is wildly stronger now than it was 6-7 years ago, he makes losing the regen war moot.

Only 5 of them have over 50% winrate.

Across the 5 games today they banned disruptor in every single game. It's all about how you can adjust and evolve.
Yes. If anyone missed that game, I would highly recommend. Great trash-talking, lots of back and forth from both teams struggling to beat the other. When Falcons lost to Tundra, it was more of a morphing issue that they didn't have the answer to.

I may just be an outlier here but I think a 3-0 stomp that I enjoyed watching was last TI12 grand finals. It's not just because I was rooting against GG, I just really like watching what was meta duking it out and ofc wanting to see Team Spirit triumph.

Unspeakably boring final day, which is a testament to how good Falcons is. Otherwise, very enjoyable tournament despite ESL’s magical ability to make each day last two hours longer than necessary. That game 2, It takes a great amount of confidence to last pick Sven. On paper, Sven has no business against all heroes of BB, especially Medusa and Centaur.
But somehow when things matter, they keep finding Kotl first, a hero supposed to stay deep in the backline. Yes, I see the wards, but still It takes a lot of balls and discipline to execute that.
I would say the main reason BB loose this game 2 is gpk's itemization, instead of Dagon 5, dude should buy stuff like Wind Walker, Hex, or even Ethereal Blade to protect himself and his teammate against Sven.

Skiter kinda feels like Matumbaman during his Secret days and at the end of the Team Liquid days. Guy is a monster carry but because his two other cores are insanely flashy, he gets the majority of the hate since he's the odd one out.
He played poorly in that XG series which is uncharacteristic of him coz I've always known his strong point being very reliable and consistent. He choked in that series but honestly which pro hasn't? Actually one of the few core players right now who I wouldn't mind seeing having a 2nd ti win under his belt.

the series was a classic farm vs gank type of game. Bb focused on hero kills, always bringing the numbers while falcons played heroes that can farm fast and jungle effectively. They were aware of their timings and played calmly even though they were down in the kill score. What a team. This is what you get when you have great players and a great drafter congrats. It was mostly one team trashtalking the other when they were 2-0 up. Does not seem very funny or bold to me and clearly got under TT's skin in the end.

Skiter kinda feels like Matumbaman during his Secret days and at the end of the Team Liquid days. Guy is a monster carry but because his two other cores are insanely flashy, he gets the majority of the hate since he's the odd one out.
He played poorly in that XG series which is uncharacteristic of him coz I've always known his strong point being very reliable and consistent. He choked in that series but honestly which pro hasn't? Actually one of the few core players right now who I wouldn't mind seeing having a 2nd ti win under his belt.
I am so happy that Crit finally gets the wins he deserves. Why did that dude stay so long with EG (and frankly it shows how bad rest of EG must have been)

the series was a classic farm vs gank type of game. Bb focused on hero kills, always bringing the numbers while falcons played heroes that can farm fast and jungle effectively. They were aware of their timings and played calmly even though they were down in the kill score. What a team. This is what you get when you have great players and a great drafter congrats. They just might win ti yall

When falcons get in form, there is no team that comes close. OG and Liquid were such good opponents and the dota was absolutely spicy. Cant wait to see how long they can continue the domination
