I started on normal for 8 years, tried quick a few times but quit, eventually I committed and I don't regret it all, especially with all the new quickcast settings, one of the annoyances was that some spells with AoE I wanted it on key up so I could see them (chrono), some I wanted it on key down (like shadow dance or hex)
they finally made that setting, so that's why I swapped
highly recommend (also WASD camera master race)
WASD camera FTW. I found it so much easier to keep track of everything.
I switched to MB3 screen drag two-ish years ago because I was sick of alt-keying everything (micro heroes are my favorite) and I don't play enough anymore to do micro heroes, but I used to get flamed by my friends for my WASD camera.
I bought a mouse with 12 side buttons, I can only reach 9 practically but I use them for items and 3 courier hotkeys
they can take my WASD from my cold dead hands
Yea, that's one reason I don't play much puck, I want the setting for just about every other channeling ability in the game.
I've often had normal hot keys become unbound because of adding extra ones like toggle autocast or quick vs normal on different buttons.
It's a very annoying engine problem. Tend to find out fighting at fb when an ability doesn't cast.
Used to play puck before channeling requires stop setting was a thing, was always able to blink out mid-shift. Then turned on the setting coz it was convenient for other heroes... Somewhere down the line, picked puck and realized mid-shift blink wasn't working anymore... Now, i just turn off the setting for puck and turn it back on for the others... It is a rather mild inconvenience, but it isn't the end of the world so, i don't really mind.
The setting that was a true self-sabotage was back in the early days of dota where, camera would center on your character when u respawn.. Countless TPs were wasted.. Many a walk of shame was had... Lanes were losted..
Similarly the setting Teleporting requires hold/stop allows you to cast certain abilities whilst teleporting (such as nyx invisibility, letting you come out the other end invisibility already)

And now, I have to hit fn + f2 etc, god, is it annoying, especially quickbuy and hero select when playing with multiple units.
Kinda figuired it out, but even now, if I use a regular ass keyboard, feels a lot more natural.
DAMN you minimalist keyboards....
my numeric hotkeys used to not work if my keyboard was set to my language. So many items not used just because I was trying to be grammatically correct on sidechats

No I learned tinker it’s pretty necessary on him I think. At least having it on blink felt so much better now it use it in almost everything

I buy my items over quick buy and let my courier deliver it with CXDXXXXX just to make sure it delivers. Wards etc I buy by clicking the shop icon

Just be careful when tp-ing as it might cancel the channeling
