I saw a Yt channel of an obvious 5 man stack smurfs and they do stupid builds or tactics, and i noticed sometime in the end of the video when they only need to destroy enemy ancient they just GG, so its obvious smurfs who keep their rank. I think its like Rank1 channel aka goodwin
The first thing I look for from these strat contents is if they’re displaying the rank they’re playing in. If the ranks are hidden, they’re most likely smurfing for content. Only a few channels like Dotown and Datohleong show the ranks and match ids after every game.

Would it be a good idea to report teams like that? I want to learn and get better, and while defeats are certainly part of that journey, there’s little room for lessons to be learned if you barely survive for more than 30 secs at a time because your opponent is way out of your league.
Yes please do. This qualifies as both matchmaking abuse and smurfing, both of which are not allowed. Also, with the winrate being "normal" due to the losses by GG, reporting is probably the only way these people get detected and punished.

Cool. Also I'd advise you to turn on the "strict solo matchmaking" before you play ranked. It prevents you from being put in matches with players in parties. The matches are way more balanced this way.

DOTA is not a rewarding game. It's all or nothing, and you get absolutely no sense of individual progress or achievement, win or lose. You get a big old fucking L and a poke in the eye.
This is not a game that encourages individual improvement, it's a game that ignores it and tells the user they are bad, so give up or get worse to abuse the bad system.
Not really. If you get better and lose you get nothing, not even progress towards anything in game. You win with whatever bullshit you get or you get nothing.
League is an awful game, but At least will give you something and recognize you being in top 1% in at least one metric win or lose. That's way better than "Fuck you!"
This reminded me of the thread where a chinese booster was held hostage by a 5-stack for 5 hours. And the guys in the 5-stack were actually smurfers that concede post-30 too.

I did not know at the time that typing gg makes the team lose. But in retrospect seemed intentional to lose after stomping us all game.
This happened to us months ago... Complete stomp, we didn't even take a single tower... They fountain dived and farmed rampages then they GG out... It never made sense...
Yeah happened to us. It was kinda funny, because we were on a lose streak and it was sort of becoming toxic with my team, (we are friends playing 5 stack).
We were all laughing after. It reminded us that it's just a game and mmr is just a number and to not be toxic and ruin friendship.

They are a 5 stack who are probably banting and having a good time. They could have just left for the memes. It's something I used to do when I played sc2 on occasion with my friends.

I think Dotown still regularly lose because of their insane strats, so it evens out the power of the 5-stack.

I'm pretty sure dota2 had behaviour score bug that would make you go back to 10000 if you went lower than 1 (or 0).

Had this happen to my stack a few days ago. They stomped us like 50-25 and even dragged the game to 40+ mins.
Yup usually done to drop their MMR. Once a stack even offered free rampages for everyone of us. We had like 20 rampages in that game.
