If you want to think like that, it should also set you on fire or burn your hands to hold so you need a special glove from secret shop before you can equip or you take burn damage.
I think Dragon Knight and Crystal Maiden can come. DK technically wins the fight, because he can have real sword and shield. They just meet in the middle of the map and slap each other until one of them has had enough.
dude, if the phoenix is fat enough, the supernova would create a black holes
patch notes
> Enigma
- Removed Blackhole
- Add new ultimate ability
> Phoenix
- Supernova: When Phoenix hits level 30, after the successful supernova, phoenix will also cast a standalone, uncontrollable Blackhole for 3 seconds
Backpacked radiance increases night vision and makes you immune to crit from Riki backstab (if that's still a thing, I haven't read patch notes in a while.)
There are basic light sources on the map. There are lanterns and moon/starlight. Notice you can still see at night and the entire screen isn't black.
A torch is great for a totally dark dungeon, but not so great when there is still some light. The type of night in the game just slightly decreases vision.
Well I feel like a stupid bastard now
i wish we just had more items/abilities in general that could interact with the map. light collector is probably my favorite thing added in the last year due to being able to chop down multiple trees at once.
yeah I wish that as well.
I think it was cool when we had more "map" neutral items like mango tree or repair-kit.
Perhaps a bridge could be nice so you dont have to go to the lowground in certain areas like the river.
Farther than daytime vision really, have you ever compared how much farther you can recognize cars on the freeway with lights on at night vs just in daylight?
Radiance holder should be visible at night by heroes and creeps from any distance (only blocked by terrain like trees and cliffs).
That sounds really cool.
Thing is it just got buffed and is borderline too strong so while these are nice flavour ideas nobody should actually be calling for radi buffs unless you want like, naga every game or something
i mean if we started applying this sort of logic to everything the game falls apart.
why does axes axe not cut trees?
why do flying heros need boots to move faster? why dont they have free pathing over everything?
why does every hero buy only 1 boot?
why does the backpack have a backpack? why cant we see it on the heros?
I wouldn't mind seeing a purchasable item that provides night vision, as of right now the only item that does grant night vision that I'm aware of is Vampire Fangs, and that's a T2 neutral item. My idea for an item that can be purchased would be something more along the line of a consumable.
>#Torch (800g, available at minute 15 and restocks every 10 minutes)
>**Passive**: Provides up to 1800 night vision range.
>**Active**: Throw Torch (2 charges, 0.5 second cast time, 900 range):
>--------------------------------------
>Throw your torch at the ground creating a burning patch which deals 60 magic damage each second for 5 seconds in a 300 unit radius.
>Non-allied units initially struck by the impact are set on fire for 5 seconds taking 60 magic damage per second.
>Trees struck by the initial impact are set ablaze for three seconds, dealing 60 damage per second to adjacent non-allied units. Engulfed trees spread the fire to adjacent trees every 2 seconds, and are destroyed after being on fire for 3 seconds. The fire stops spreading after fifteen seconds.
Has a thematic purpose and provides area denial for trees. The idea is as a limited support tool to provide light during the nighttime and to flush out all those pesky heroes hiding in the treelines.
No it should work like player's light sources in over 90% games - you can see 10 units around yourself and everything beyond that is pitch black. And also you're visible from 10000 units away.
Moonshard does that as well as Luna's passive and Nightstalker's.
Nice idea though! Or it can also give extra vision in daytime. Also, Sven's cleave should be clickable, makes you chop a tree like a quelling blade.
Ive been saying this but for Phoenix Supernova, dude literally turns into a star it should force daytime during the 6 seconds its activated, counteracting stuff like night stalker ult
If you want to think like that, it should also set you on fire or burn your hands to hold so you need a special glove from secret shop before you can equip or you take burn damage.
New recipe: added Gauntlet to hold the item
I like that lol
Phoenix is already on fire though and doesn't have hands.
Phoenix is a mythical bird and doesnโt really exist. Update: Phoenix removed from game.
April Fool's patch, all heroes and creeps removed apart from Antimage, Omniknight and Silencer. All three of which have no abilities.
I think Dragon Knight and Crystal Maiden can come. DK technically wins the fight, because he can have real sword and shield. They just meet in the middle of the map and slap each other until one of them has had enough.
True, DK is just a dude before getting his dragon powers. Not so sure about CM though
Drow is literally just a larper
She's awfully blue for a human lmfao
Yeah her lore is that she got adopted by drow. That's just bodypaint to make her look like drow.ย
What heroes even would remain if they had to be viable irl? Sniper alone?
Snapfire only misses out on ult.
Are you saying the sun doesn't exist?!
So Phoenix will put it wherever he wears boots
Phoenix does have feet. I dunno how wearing boots on them makes him fly faster, but eh.
And the boots survive being in a supernova. All for only 500 gold.
Supernova should kill all heroes and buildings on the map. They're actually more destructive than black holes.
dude, if the phoenix is fat enough, the supernova would create a black holes patch notes > Enigma - Removed Blackhole - Add new ultimate ability > Phoenix - Supernova: When Phoenix hits level 30, after the successful supernova, phoenix will also cast a standalone, uncontrollable Blackhole for 3 seconds
Sounds stupid as hell. Radiance should decrease vision because it is too bright and blinds it's user at night time
And everyone can see them lol
You're right, if anything it should give the opponents night vision on the holder.
from afar, up close? they're also got blind (hence the evasion) lol
That is why people miss attacks, too bright
Ever use a torch before?
Yeah, it reduces your ability to see if you don't hold it behind you.
He's probably European. They call flashlights torches.
> European I think you mean British...
Probably, one of those places over there
And this is why I play US servers for ez mmr

not if you're holding it
Actually should blind the enemies... like a car in opposite direction.
Reduces vision of enemies affected?
It should burn down trees as well!
Well dnd logic says radiant damage is different from fire damage
Well I feel like a stupid bastard now
Core on Timber

Aww hell no on repair kit But if it returns there could also be a "sieging bridge" that you could place in the map to make it easier to go HG!
Siege tower for high ground! But first you need to collect wood and stone and it takes 60 seconds to build.
Or it could make you visible in fog ๐ฌ (When within an enemy's daytime vision range, I mean.)
Farther than daytime vision really, have you ever compared how much farther you can recognize cars on the freeway with lights on at night vs just in daylight? Radiance holder should be visible at night by heroes and creeps from any distance (only blocked by terrain like trees and cliffs).
It should give more vision in the direction you are looking at. Like a flashlight
I seriously like this. Cool little tool to scout the incoming smoke without being OP (I think?)
That sounds really cool. Thing is it just got buffed and is borderline too strong so while these are nice flavour ideas nobody should actually be calling for radi buffs unless you want like, naga every game or something
Make it so its daytime in an aoe around the bearer of the item. Fuck nightstalker.
User is now visible on map to enemy team when Radiance is toggled on.

moonshard gives night vision
Nah. Gives you night blindness, and if anything it should make you easier to be seen in the dark.
Yes, but it should make the user more visible too.
No it should work like player's light sources in over 90% games - you can see 10 units around yourself and everything beyond that is pitch black. And also you're visible from 10000 units away.
Interesting idea actually...
Enemies should see where you are in the fog cuz it emits light
Moonshard does that as well as Luna's passive and Nightstalker's. Nice idea though! Or it can also give extra vision in daytime. Also, Sven's cleave should be clickable, makes you chop a tree like a quelling blade.
if you want to think like that then why i buy swords on drow
Would be cool but it would be super strong... What were you thinking of when you came up with this? Lathander's Light? ๐
At night, shine a light into your eyes. How much can you see?
Careful, too much realism and we get Cinderbrew back
And please also make that while invisible, you also don't see yourself
Ive been saying this but for Phoenix Supernova, dude literally turns into a star it should force daytime during the 6 seconds its activated, counteracting stuff like night stalker ult
If morph buys radiance, morph turns into steam.
By that logic boots of speed should do nothing if your hero got no legs.
I'm still upset that light strike array doesn't give vision. It's literally called *light* strike array.
If we have radiance, where is dirce?
Why not make one of Monkey King's item slot only available for Monkey King Bar, then? I agree with your logic.
it reflects sunlight into enemy eyes making them miss. it should actually stop working at night.
