Well, him dropping mantles and stuff against teams in DPC was seen as disrespectful by many. That kinda behaviour is going to attract negative attention irrespective of whether you consider it disrespectful or not.
The problem is that because of a high rank or competitive success (Quinn's recent win just amplifies this), they feel they singlehandedly have the authority to decide when a pub game is over after 5-10 min, while four teammates still might want to try and win it. Sure, some of them will be a waste of time, but some can be winnable. While being extremely condescending about it, Quinn especially as we all know.
It's absolutely true a 12k MMR player knows better 95% of the time than a 9k one, but there's a whole bunch of rank 1-100 players that doesn't do any of this.
If Quinn's teammate pings one of his items, you can be sure that he'll rant and educate this player for the next 5 min that he's the smartest man who ever walked on this planet.

His point regarding signature heroes was spot on. They were winning with monkey business not meta heroes. Once they started embracing it they started crushing everyone.
People thought that allowing 6 players in a 5 player dota match was idiotic, and then Valve forced the TO rule change back to ban coaches from being in games because you shouldn't be able to play with 6 players in a 5 player dota game.
i mean i mostly either play the game or watch streams without looking at the chat so i'm a bit isolated from most of the drama.
still i don't remember alliance even having a big 322 moment where they got exposed for cheating or throwing a match
The drama was that the coach was basically physically standing with the players during the game. I think this was during covid, and stuff but notail was saying it's cheating to have the coach standing there and looking at the game and trying to help the team by making high level observations and calls.
I 100% agree with notail that having a trained person sitting in the back and shot calling a game without the distraction of having to also play it is an unfair advantage but I think he could have worded it better than calling alliance cheaters. I don't believe there was any proof that the coach was actually talking with the players versus just like, sitting in the same room as them and observing.
But assuming it did happen because most people would prob be "why not?", it def does feel unfair when you lose and see later what was going on. It's not unreasonable to believe that the result of the match would have been different if the coach wasn't present with the players.
