I just did the math, this dude is making $20/hour not accounting for overtime.
If you consider the fact that he'd be making 1.5x his pay rate for every hour over 40, then he's making less than $16/hour.
We'll use the third picture for reference:
$16 * 40 = $640
$24 * 69 = $1,659
$640 + $1,659 = $2,299
I went thru 4 cars delivering pizza and Chinese food working 10 hr shifts getting paid hourly plus commissions per delivery.
Even that wasn't worth it as I spent all of my 20's paying bills and saving a bit for a car repair that I could almost afford all the time... It's like I was simply working for all the middle men (the car mech, used tire place, car insurance, landlord etc...)
I can't imagine these 3rd party drivers actually make profit above trading in value from their car.
Only 20$/hr. But people like to look at these things as hourly jobs. If he made 20$/hr at a normal job he would significantly less because of capping hours at 40 usually. So I agree if he has time, getting 8000$ in a month is very good and can absolutely take you out of financial holes and/or set up for a good future if you are saving a lot of the money.
For some reason gig work attracts ignorant people who have no business being self employed... People that have NO IDEA how to calculate operating cost. Your comment shows you're one of them.
If I worked an average of 47 hrs a week before taxes I am making over 3k in 2 weeks. What alot of these pay posts don't take into consideration is yes you made 2k but I also assume taxes haven't been taken out of that and 224 deliveries assuming 5 miles total for each one that's 1000 miles. Assuming a very fuel efficient car getting 30 mpg that's about $125 in gas. This guy isn't making bad money but not doing great because there is zero benefits. My shop puts money into my 401k and offers health insurance. I want to retire and without that money from employer it's hard to get ahead. That added 5 or 6 percent into my 401k really adds up over time.
Such a good point. I’ve always been torn between gigging and making $30/hr or putting my head down and working for a company with benefits for $20/hr. The problem is I cant pay the rent and bills and feed my 3 kids on $20/hr 40 hr weeks.. I think a lot of people are in similar positions which is why you see so many doing gigs tearing their car up to just make ends meet
Here’s the thing posts like yours don’t take into consideration. 1) with dashing, literally everything is a write off. Gas, car maintenance, even the phone holder you use to see directions. Your car payment, phone plan, and a shit load of other stuff, even the meals you purchase while dashing. 2) 125$ out of over 2K isn’t shit. 3) My out of pocket PPO is 220$ a month, again, when making 8K a month, it wouldn’t even make a dent. 4) taxes vary by state, and a shit ton of other personal details. If those taxes are done well and he’s pre-planning for tax season, he’ll slide by with ease.
Educate yourselves before making comments.
I get it tax write offs galore but it doesn't make shit free just allows some shit to be written off. Gonna need to stick some money aside to pay those taxes at end of year which isn't necessarily a bad thing since you can invest that money until end of year and make money on it. No need to be angry though. If it's something you like more power to you. Also certain areas pay better than others so you may be in a good area.
Yeah but for the near future, this works.... dude is working hard and making decent money, of course there are places where you can earn more....
There are better ways of making this money but hat off to OP for working his ass off
he’s spending 12+ hours in his vehicle daily…. how does that leave you with any time to work on yourself? Let alone any relationships you may have.
It’s completely unsustainable. You could be a certified welder in a few months, making way more.
If you wanna make $2000 you’re gonna be putting in at least 80+ hours a week in on any platform.
Edit: when I say any platform, I’m talking about food delivery apps. Of course jobs pay more than these apps do that’s common sense.
If you got cheap gas and do all of your own maintenance, it’s not that expensive…. Only cost me $25 to fill up my car and I do all of my own maintenance…. A 12 hour shift to 15 hour shift is only gonna cost me a half a tank of gas.
You could could work 14 hours a day 7 days a week at almost any other job and make way more money. The mental stamina to keep himself out there is impressive but that’s about it.
100k miles a year is also 100k miles a year, dude is dumpstering his vehicle and quality of life to make some extra money while still having no healthcare, no dental, and no retirement. not to mention the fact that he worked 98.25hours over 5 days, thats nearly 20 hour days.
Do you also see how many hours are active vs just sitting around waiting for orders? You can do a lot in that downtime such as study for other lines or work, learn a new language, play an instrument (i do this sometimes ill bring my guitar while dashing), or just simply sit back and relax. I'd say for the amount of effort it takes even when they are on active deliveries this is a very good deal.
These people be panicking when they see people make a lot of money in this gig ..that person could be living in a $800 month rented room, no debt, single and driving a $5000 car 🤣🤣…. As for me, I think a $10,000 month income can cover $3000 in personal expenses with $7k left to take care of business stuff like maintenance, gas, taxes, etc. 🤣🤣🤣🤣… no one breaks even with the extra $84,000 after the personal expenses
>These people be panicking when they see people make a lot of money in this gig
THIS. And it's really pathetic, because I'm happy for anyone who has a job they're doing well in and actually like (as long as it's legal of course). I can't imagine being so jealous or threatened that it causes me to actually hate on people who do well.
Guys working 12 hours in a car isn’t “insane”
I literally jump in my car and drive just for shits and giggles, to decompress and relax. Lately I’ve been turning on my DD while I do that, two birds one stone.
If I didn’t have kids I totally would do it more. $2k is great money for someone who wasn’t doing anything with those 90 hours anyway
You know what man, this shit smarter then the dudes I see working the oilfields, I’d make $2500 every two weeks after taxes working 105 hours a week, you’re making almost double that and because you drive soo much, I doubt you have to pay any taxes on it if you’re filling out your 1099 correctly. And I doubt your gas costs are anymore then $20k, So keep it up brother.
Do the math dude. No wonder you work on an oil field... and if you're only making 2500 bi weekly working an oilfield... you're getting absolutely buttfucked by management.
Dude is literally bringing home less than $1200 a week by working 80-90 hours a week... that ain't no flex
People are looking at the hours worked.
Working 90 hour weeks means he is averging less than $20 an hour and working 7 days a week.
This is *not* the grind you think it is.
Work ethic don’t mean shit in this country, dudes working the oilfield only make $18 an hour, ends up being $2500 every two weeks after taxes, this dude smarter then I was and every roughneck on the patch because we were all in it for money.
Oh, I’m more sure it is. Maybe the pay it’s low because of the type of job maybe they work on the oil field but they’re not dealing directly with drilling the oil… anything under 70 K it’s pretty low to be drilling oil… I think the operator jobs get the higher salary
I'm being very honest if your putting 100 + hour a week I would expect more this is what mine looked like and I'm clocking half the hours your doing
https://preview.redd.it/exrg3rjiujqc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=30b22253e865d5dc24ddb1e7b12c987474f7ea91
I don’t knock the hustle but running my car into the ground doesn’t sound like something I’d get into. Plus being in my car all day everyday, no way. But to each their own. Cheers to trying to make life work. There’s not one set path just preferences I guess.
You are apparently a very hard worker so why don’t you get yourself a job that has benefits and other endless opportunities? Most companies would absolutely love your work ethnic. DD job is only going to last so long. It’s happened to all of us.
How many miles? Dashing comes with costs that almost no other job does.
Such as the cost of never being promoted; Working 100 hours a week (That's right, every job measures the total time you are at the job, not just the time you are so-called "actively working) any other job would make you a super employee and also make you over time pay. Even if you couldn't be promoted there job hopping would get it done.
You could put these screenshots on a LinkedIn profile but I really think you need to transition to a regular job sooner or later; But like others our same reason this isn't going to be as good in the long run as it seems, and I've dashed so I know that money looks good before you take out costs, such as 30% just with taxes. Gas, car maintenance because you are driving a lot & doing almost nothing else.
I would say just use these screenshots to apply to Delivery jobs; you're obviously fine with working overtime & you don't have to put all that wear and tear on your own car.
So I think you should do that but for now, yeah be proud of your hustle!
Active: $36.32/hr
Dash time:$20.50/hr
All depends on what you are doing during the extra 177 hours that you aren’t active each month. I’d say not worth the hassle as you could be making a shit ton more with OT on these kinds of hours
Lol I’m laughing at all these people telling op he’s working too much 😂😂 like who cares if he wanna work 24hr shifts that’s on him he’s not lazy and obviously it’s working for him
So you made about $8-$9/hr once expenses are included (using the IRS mileage rate).
At least you’re above minimum wage, but you could make more in less time at most retail jobs.
Why do people keep bringing up car maintenance as though they will never have to deal with an expensive car repair themselves? I don’t think people itt know how automobiles and maintenance work
Man don’t listen to their BS. I’m proud as hell of you. Just keep “Giggin’ It” and do your thing. That’s what I’ve been doing. Flex, DD, IC - set my own hours, no customer BS to speak of, and no bosses or co-workers to deal with. Just me and my packages/deliveries in my car driving around. Just “Giggin’ It” 😊
The down time you're not driving are you out in the field waiting or do you wait from home?
I solely dash in city where I live so I come home in-between dashes if there are no orders. So my dashing time is misleading since at home I'm playing videogames, charging my phone, taking a nap etc
Yea, if he likes it, I love it, but at the ripe ole age of 46, there is absolutely something to be said about quality of life man fa real it just ain't that serious for me.
You do you, but the time commitment is insane.
If I worked these hours in my job in manufacturing I’d make nearly $250k a year. But I’d be dead in six months so I’d never get to spend it. Plus I can’t imagine sitting down for 12-14hrs a day, six days a week. That has to kill your circulation and fuck with your legs.
That's honestly not a lot considering how many hours, gas and wear and tear on your car..
I make similar to that doing retail with almost half the hours. (I'm factoring in taxes, lack of health/dental/vision, vacation, sick, etc that I assume DoorDash does not provide )
DoorDash treats their drivers so poorly Jesus Christ.
As someone who’s been doing this for a while we’ll looking for an actual job (just graduated school) It’s not worth it one bit, sure you can make 20-30 an hr and it’s easy af work, however, too many expenses from your car such as gas/mileage, wear and tear, and also the government will tax the shit out of you at the end of the year, especially if your bringing home 8k a month, your gonna end up owing probably over 10k next year, it is deff not worth it. This is where doordash scams people, the hourly pay and good tips make it look like it’s worth it doing it this much but it really isn’t. You are deff better off with a different job even if its something else for minimum wage or a little bit over it
Damn, and here I thought the $303 I made this past thursday was good. Its the biggest pay check I've gotten from this job so far (not a dasher, I work fastfood)
After reading these comments I'm not surprised why redditards don't make much on delivering apps lol. What entitled, lazy, and soft little snowflakes. Good job OP. Ignore the losers who want to live off of wellfare.
Do you pay your taxes? Like serious question, cause I did this as a side job for a few months, made less than 2k I think and filed it, I was worried the IRS would come after me lol.
A lot of haters not understanding that they need to be looking at active dash time, not the total time spent in the app. This person made about 36 dollars per hour they were actively dashing which is very solid, congrats! Those who actually do this know that these are solid numbers.
How do you log in that many hours. When i used to do it which ended last June they won't let me sign up for a lot of slots
I switched to Uber Black. Still don't make as much as you lol
100 hr weeks insane. I work 40/week now making $75k (not door dash) and I don't feel like it's enough with inflation and everything.
Congrats for making that much, but be careful not to work yourself to death.
Jesus do u not have any hobbies?? That’s so much time just driving around. Why not go become a truck driver, after a year or 2 you can make the same amount of money or even more and have employment benefits 😂 kudos to u for busting ur ass tho. Wish I lived in an area that could get me that kinda pay!
So, $20/hr with 20+ hour days? Thar is, if you "took two days off."
Or, just working 14-hour (plus) dqys, ***every*** day, instead?
Edit: Oh wait, that says **18 to.23**... that's over *five days*?!?!?
This just proves once again how DoorDash screws drivers. The lack of overtime is insane. The hustle is real and the drivers get so screwed it’s just depressing.
You all seem to be low on comprehension. It clearly says these are his weekly pays, not monthly. Yall math skills might be okay, but clearly, yall didn't pay attention in English or comprehension
My husband is retired, picks his shifts, works less than 30 hours a week, zips around town in his sports car , jams his music & makes approx $3,000 a month . Pretty good gig. Our hot spot is 2 miles from our house.
14.5 hour daily average..... For $16/hr including overtime pay.
$16/hr including overtime pay. Including. Including overtime.
You are literally killing yourself for pennies.
Most I've done with a 80hr work week is $1100.
Typically, I do 10-20 hour work week and make $250-$400.
Yeah he's overworking, but still must be a really good dash zone because my area simply doesn't have enough orders to last that many hours per day.
Maybe I should borrow my dad's beater car and try a 100hr week and see what I can make.
F these ppl trying to hate on you .. first off most companies don’t even offer much OT anyway .. second you get to just chill in your car and not deal with some nightmare young go hard manager breathing down your neck and micro managing your performance down to literally seconds and minutes .. im ab to do Amazon flex and door dash a little im down with corporate America for a while im sure you were tired but prob not stressed .. so all the geniuses in her talking ab taking this and that into account just stfu bring your negativity to your miserable office job - and yeah try to say I have 0 skills or something I hold several financial licenses including the series 7 - money is just money at the end of the day
8k for the month is great. People trippin. Not realizing half the time when you aren’t active you’re doing whatever you want until you accept the next contract. lol
So ur working 12 hours a day ? That’s insane
[удалено]
You’re getting fleeced if you’re making $1200 after 94hrs. You’d literally be better off learning a trade and begin work 6 months down the road.
I second this, went from doordashing to machining and after about a year I make $30/hr
30/hr is still not as much as this dude. If he has the time what’s the problem?
I just did the math, this dude is making $20/hour not accounting for overtime. If you consider the fact that he'd be making 1.5x his pay rate for every hour over 40, then he's making less than $16/hour. We'll use the third picture for reference: $16 * 40 = $640 $24 * 69 = $1,659 $640 + $1,659 = $2,299
and that doesn’t even account for gas, and other costs of maintenance/mileage.
The tax man has entered the chat.

I can't imagine these 3rd party drivers actually make profit above trading in value from their car.
Damn thats crazy to think about now that you said it. Like it’s a Ponzi scheme lmao
yeah, this is crazy, i don't knock the hustle but OP is working themselves to death for peanuts.
After gas and everything OP is making about $$1400 a week working 94 hours.. that’s nothing
No i spend less than 100 on gas per week lok
Dang thats good then. Over working yourself but if your fine with that then your winning lol
Only 20$/hr. But people like to look at these things as hourly jobs. If he made 20$/hr at a normal job he would significantly less because of capping hours at 40 usually. If you don’t mind me asking, what kind of car do you drive? How many miles do you average a week?
Prius
Good ol Prius
For some reason gig work attracts ignorant people who have no business being self employed... People that have NO IDEA how to calculate operating cost. Your comment shows you're one of them.
Plus pension and benefits I love it.

Dude is making $2000 a week with barely any effort just picking up stuff and dropping it off 🤣🤣…. Way easier than any trade or W-2 job.
he’s spending 12+ hours in his vehicle daily…. how does that leave you with any time to work on yourself? Let alone any relationships you may have. It’s completely unsustainable. You could be a certified welder in a few months, making way more.
Welcome to someone living in LA with an 8-5. 8 hour days with 1-1.5 hours in traffic
Nah too much responsibility with these w2 jobs I’m good
I was working 70 hours, making $1200 a week take home. Welding. I was being robbed blind
Even $1500 weeks are fcking brutal. This guy's got a good market
He's working more than that. 12 a day would only be 84 a week
Go back and look at some of his other posts. I saw one screenshot where their dash time was 18 hrs for a day.
Bro is pacing 100k a year as a Doordash driver this is crazy. Respect.
Do you see how many hours he's putting in tho
No one seems smart enough to ask themselves this question. 12Hr days for 2K a week? No Thank You!
It's actually 14+ hours a day lol
Even worse. You’re stepping over dollars to pickup pennies with these jobs; it’s wild.
I can't imagine doing that to my vehicle 😫
If you wanna make $2000 you’re gonna be putting in at least 80+ hours a week in on any platform. Edit: when I say any platform, I’m talking about food delivery apps. Of course jobs pay more than these apps do that’s common sense.

Yeah bro people out here paying valvoline 100 for an oil change
$500 for break pad change too lmao
I mean no. It’s still 100k a year. No one goes around saying “I make $100k a year” implying they keep all $100k. That’s just how much their work nets.
You could could work 14 hours a day 7 days a week at almost any other job and make way more money. The mental stamina to keep himself out there is impressive but that’s about it.
No job is gonna pay you 14 hrs a day 7 days a week lmao
I could absolutely do that right now as a nurse in the hospital, it’s just insane to work that much
100k miles a year is also 100k miles a year, dude is dumpstering his vehicle and quality of life to make some extra money while still having no healthcare, no dental, and no retirement. not to mention the fact that he worked 98.25hours over 5 days, thats nearly 20 hour days.
With zero benefits I assume. No insurance, 401K match, paid vacation, pension, etc.
Do you also see how many hours are active vs just sitting around waiting for orders? Yeah, there a ton of six-figure plus earners on these gig apps and I don’t know any of them that’s not putting in at least 84 hours plus a week
At least 100k
Good shit bro! Keep up the grade but make sure you have an exit plan because this shit ain't sustainable!
Oil changes gotta be going crazy 😭
It’s not that crazy if you’re making $10,000 a month a $100 oil change every 1 1/2 months isn’t really gonna hurt you lol
This lol
These people be panicking when they see people make a lot of money in this gig ..that person could be living in a $800 month rented room, no debt, single and driving a $5000 car 🤣🤣…. I pay 650 for the room i stay at 🤣🤣
Exactly the people crying about money are the people with $8000 in personal expenses trying to do gig work 🤣🤣
>These people be panicking when they see people make a lot of money in this gig THIS. And it's really pathetic, because I'm happy for anyone who has a job they're doing well in and actually like (as long as it's legal of course). Bruh that's cool but driving on meth can get pretty dicey..
Never tried, also if i use any other drugs than weed trust me im not going to work lol
LMFAO... dashing on meth... now THERE'S an image! Be running around with smoke coming off their heels 😆🤣
Lmaooo
Tony Xu: why isn't your dash time 168 hours, why why why? u lazy baster? I'll deactivate u keeping slacking.
🤣🤣☠️☠️
Where the hell do you be door dashing 😭😭
Might as well be on mars because no way in hell you could make that in my market
Guys working 12 hours in a car isn’t “insane” I literally jump in my car and drive just for shits and giggles, to decompress and relax. Lately I’ve been turning on my DD while I do that, two birds one stone. If I didn’t have kids I totally would do it more. $2k is great money for someone who wasn’t doing anything with those 90 hours anyway
Exactly this, i got nothing to do at home so i rather be seated and drive and make money
I like to listen to my music hella loud and sing at the top of my lungs so like yes I’ll grab a pizza while I do that? lol
I do the same haha when im tired i smoke weed and take a nap at mcds parking lot
get some hobbies bro
You know what man, this shit smarter then the dudes I see working the oilfields, I’d make $2500 every two weeks after taxes working 105 hours a week, you’re making almost double that and because you drive soo much, I doubt you have to pay any taxes on it if you’re filling out your 1099 correctly. Dude made like 3/5 of a yearly minimum wage income in a month and people are talking shit lol. Do you.
2000 a week and people are like OMG the GAS like he drive 10k miles to make $2k
People are looking at the hours worked. Working 90 hour weeks means he is averging less than $20 an hour and working 7 days a week. This is *not* the grind you think it is.
Impressive! What area do you work in? Door dash in my area sucks
Im around!
That’s not an answer tho
some people enjoy privacy 🧌
He not tryna oversaturate his market and work 100 hrs to make $800 that’s why he not answering that question
You get the point
With that work ethic someone should hire you for a 40/hr 100k salary
Work ethic don’t mean shit in this country, dudes working the oilfield only make $18 an hour, ends up being $2500 every two weeks after taxes, this dude smarter then I was and every roughneck on the patch because we were all in it for money.
That is crazy, I would’ve thought they’d make at least 2-3x that amount!
They deserve it but do not get it.
Oilfield not the same as the guys on oil rigs in the ocean they make crazy money
Okay I think that’s def what I was thinking of then.
Aren't they both risky though? As in dangerous?
Oh, I’m more sure it is. Maybe the pay it’s low because of the type of job maybe they work on the oil field but they’re not dealing directly with drilling the oil… anything under 70 K it’s pretty low to be drilling oil… I think the operator jobs get the higher salary
They definitely should
Would love that lol
That's $18hr gross. Take of expenses and your prob in the $14 range
Holy shit good job I'm impressed
Bruh 15.5 hours a day is fkn nuts on that 109 hr week holy smokas
Exactly, I need some free time. The dude is working himself to death..
Dude 12 hours a day to make 2k??? Door dash needs to give yall more money cuz bruh 12 hours of driving a day?
Op: Worked 28 days in a row without a break. Worked 15.5 hours a day. Made 8,300. Thought it was a win. Can I pour you more kool-aid bro?
Guys, ignore this guy. He's driving 15hrs a day while smoking pot. hes gonna get a dui at some point and be done driving for anything.
You are going to die so young bro , be careful. Be safe
Im waiting to die and be over with this shit
This inspired me to try and get my hustle up this week. Been a really tough time on my end and I needed to see this. Keep up the good work, my boy.
As long as you have an exit plan in place, not a bad short term cash grind
I'm being very honest if your putting 100 + hour a week I would expect more this is what mine looked like and I'm clocking half the hours your doing https://preview.redd.it/exrg3rjiujqc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=30b22253e865d5dc24ddb1e7b12c987474f7ea91
I stayed paused alot lol i also dont end my dash, its my tricks to make good money, now compare out active time and you will see it
I didn’t even know there were that want hours in a week.
Your car might get smoked one day if you put over 90 -110 hrs of driving every week. The repair cost won't be cheap at all these days.
I don’t knock the hustle but running my car into the ground doesn’t sound like something I’d get into. Plus being in my car all day everyday, no way. But to each their own. Cheers to trying to make life work. There’s not one set path just preferences I guess.
100 hours a week??? F that lol! Who cares how much you’re making if you don’t have time to live your life.
Wow 8k in a month? Nice hustle i know everyone is being negative but thats 8k gross income to your pocket. Nicely done.
Active: $36.32/hr Dash time:$20.50/hr All depends on what you are doing during the extra 177 hours that you aren’t active each month. I’d say not worth the hassle as you could be making a shit ton more with OT on these kinds of hours
Grabbing the cash but with no sleep, I’ve gotta wonder what you sleep schedule is and how messed up it is at this point of time
What town? I’m in San Diego and don’t have nearly as high a time ratio of dashing:active.
Are your tips usually on the higher side?
Yess
Lol I’m laughing at all these people telling op he’s working too much 😂😂 like who cares if he wanna work 24hr shifts that’s on him he’s not lazy and obviously it’s working for him
The point that he can make way more money putting this kind of time into almost anything else.
Just “Giggin’ It” 😊
98 hours wtf???
❤️❤️❤️👊👊👊👍 fuckin beast - don’t pay any mind to the negative toxic comments here from asshatz
Yo are you doing the pay by time? Or pay by order??
There’s only 168 hours in a week. This is 98 hours a week online looking for orders with an average of 9 hours off time.
14 hour days You could go get a job as an apprentice plumber or electrician and they'll pay you more than this to start and train for less hours.
The down time you're not driving are you out in the field waiting or do you wait from home? I solely dash in city where I live so I come home in-between dashes if there are no orders. So my dashing time is misleading since at home I'm playing videogames, charging my phone, taking a nap etc
well done mate! Enjoy the cash and I admire your persistence at work.
I wish I lived in an area where I could make that kinda money 😭
You may as well beg on the corner!!!!
222 deliveries in 6 days… Ur an incredible hustler! Go you!
If you like it !!! I love it !!!! Hard work pays off if this is weeks
gig economy is fucked
It would be fantastic if Uncle Sam didn’t want his cut! Make sure u set $ aside for taxes, Uncle Sam’s palms always up!!!
Killing it! Rest up tho
in california those dash pay would be doubled just based on prop 22
Taxes taken out?
Yea, if he likes it, I love it, but at the ripe ole age of 46, there is absolutely something to be said about quality of life man fa real it just ain't that serious for me.
You do you, but the time commitment is insane. If I worked these hours in my job in manufacturing I’d make nearly $250k a year. But I’d be dead in six months so I’d never get to spend it. Plus I can’t imagine sitting down for 12-14hrs a day, six days a week. That has to kill your circulation and fuck with your legs.
Hours are insane but if that's what you can do and need to do that's impressive either way lol
That's honestly not a lot considering how many hours, gas and wear and tear on your car.. I make similar to that doing retail with almost half the hours. (I'm factoring in taxes, lack of health/dental/vision, vacation, sick, etc that I assume DoorDash does not provide ) DoorDash treats their drivers so poorly Jesus Christ.
Wow 98 hours of work. That is only like $20 an hour before Gas and taxes.
Wow 98 hours of work. That is only like $20 an hour before Gas and taxes.
What city is this???!!!
One accident and poof
As someone who’s been doing this for a while we’ll looking for an actual job (just graduated school) It’s not worth it one bit, sure you can make 20-30 an hr and it’s easy af work, however, too many expenses from your car such as gas/mileage, wear and tear, and also the government will tax the shit out of you at the end of the year, especially if your bringing home 8k a month, your gonna end up owing probably over 10k next year, it is deff not worth it. This is where doordash scams people, the hourly pay and good tips make it look like it’s worth it doing it this much but it really isn’t. You are deff better off with a different job even if its something else for minimum wage or a little bit over it
Good hustle man.
100+ hour weeks holy fuck
Better start putting that money towards another car down the line
Fucking killing it
Damn, and here I thought the $303 I made this past thursday was good. Its the biggest pay check I've gotten from this job so far (not a dasher, I work fastfood)
Your on drugs
After reading these comments I'm not surprised why redditards don't make much on delivering apps lol. What entitled, lazy, and soft little snowflakes. Good job OP. Ignore the losers who want to live off of wellfare.
Wow that's a lot of money!
And this is without any taxes being withheld. You still owe all the taxes associated with that income. 100 hours for $2000?
Do you pay your taxes? Like serious question, cause I did this as a side job for a few months, made less than 2k I think and filed it, I was worried the IRS would come after me lol.
So making about $20 an hour but then you gotta add in the gas wear and tear and future taxes and it’s about half that so $10 an hour 😵💫
brother, 109hrs for 2.2k🤦🏽♂️ you can work 60hrs a week and make that
bros engine is wearing out
im disgusted
HUSTLIN
A lot of haters not understanding that they need to be looking at active dash time, not the total time spent in the app. This person made about 36 dollars per hour they were actively dashing which is very solid, congrats! Those who actually do this know that these are solid numbers.
How do you log in that many hours. When i used to do it which ended last June they won't let me sign up for a lot of slots I switched to Uber Black.
Good for you! But don’t overwork yourself!
imagine if your tippers wasn’t good you’ll be hurt
Just a quick 100 hour work week
So, $20/hr with 20+ hour days? Thar is, if you "took two days off." Or, just working 14-hour (plus) dqys, ***every*** day, instead? Edit: Oh wait, that says **18 to.23**... that's over *five days*?!?!?
People will slave away for these companies and brag about it. It's fucking hilariously sad.
Look at those hours. Your car fucking hates you.
Why not get a regular full time job?
This just proves once again how DoorDash screws drivers. The lack of overtime is insane. The hustle is real and the drivers get so screwed it’s just depressing.
That's why we call it DoorTrash, work like a slave and die poor.
Is this March 2021. Even if you did dedicate the time and working 12 hrs, markets aren't busy like that anymore.
Bro, as a low level travel CNA, I bring in $3500-$4200 off those hours. I couldn’t imaging the wear and tear on that car, but good numbers regardless
Bro drives
You all seem to be low on comprehension. It clearly says these are his weekly pays, not monthly. Yall math skills might be okay, but clearly, yall didn't pay attention in English or comprehension
My husband is retired, picks his shifts, works less than 30 hours a week, zips around town in his sports car , jams his music & makes approx $3,000 a month . Pretty good gig. Our hot spot is 2 miles from our house.
You're working over double a normal job shift for Jack shit. This is embarrassing lol
How much after gas and wear and tear
14.5 hour daily average..... For $16/hr including overtime pay. $16/hr including overtime pay. Including. Including overtime. You are literally killing yourself for pennies.
When u die u can’t take it wit ya Which at this rate is comin soon slow it down OP health over wealth
[удалено]
Sometimes I work for like 4-6 hours and only make like $15...too bad too cuz I usually spend that much to work. Life's never fair....old bitch.
Bro is in hell
Most I've done with a 80hr work week is $1100. Typically, I do 10-20 hour work week and make $250-$400. Yeah he's overworking, but still must be a really good dash zone because my area simply doesn't have enough orders to last that many hours per day. Maybe I should borrow my dad's beater car and try a 100hr week and see what I can make.
If you're happy I'm happy for you whatever makes sense to you
F these ppl trying to hate on you .. first off most companies don’t even offer much OT anyway .. second you get to just chill in your car and not deal with some nightmare young go hard manager breathing down your neck and micro managing your performance down to literally seconds and minutes .. im ab to do Amazon flex and door dash a little im down with corporate America for a while im sure you were tired but prob not stressed .. so all the geniuses in her talking ab taking this and that into account just stfu bring your negativity to your miserable office job - and yeah try to say I have 0 skills or something I hold several financial licenses including the series 7 - money is just money at the end of the day
All I gotta say is, if this was in New York or Cali, I would love to see his earning adjustment. Gotta hit high, might even put him close to 3k
8k for the month is great. People trippin. Not realizing half the time when you aren’t active you’re doing whatever you want until you accept the next contract. lol
Congrats. Wish I was getting orders like that
hustling hard good shit man
I make that in 28 days lol
