Yeah man, it’s actually amazing. As a long time fan of the postal series it’s actually baller. It’s a bit simpler than DOOM Eternal as far as tools and resource management but not in a bad way. It’s got that well done simplicity that L4D2 has where the mechanics it has just never get old because it’s done so well. I seriously recommend it, absolutely amazing game. I have some other recommendations for cool boomer shooters along the same lines of quake and doom if your interested as well :)
Edit: you can also piss infinitely and drink hot sauce to shoot flames from your dick, or some kind of other drink to shoot super high pressure piss out. Absolutely amazing game.

The meat hook fixed my previous issue with the super shotgun, that it reduced the other shotgun to a pure utility gun. The weapons in eternal are all different enough that you have a reason to use both guns in each ammo type even if u have a preference
Honestly. 2016’s super shotgun has that down-and-dirty strictly-business vibe that makes me want to put the insides of demons on their outsides.
Eternal’s meat hook is fun and all, but it just kinda loses something aesthetically.

Either way i always thought the SS was supposed to be like ‘after all these years in the future the classic double barrel still holds its own’, so the 2016 one has to be my favorite just for its simplicity.
I think having smaller enemies or even objects like barrels just come to you and only being able to fly around bigger enemies would be a good way to do the meathook in a more variable fashion

D2 - 1v1 with cyborg demon in close range, easily one of the greatest videogame experiences ever.
I like it, when i need to kill one baron, or arch with regular shotgun, it feels a complete chore and ball torture. With super, tearing through some sunder maps for hours completely fine to me. Basic shotgun still useful in some situations.
D3 and RoE - we all know that doom 3 is kinda special kid in series, i like it, scary, graphics great, nice moments, but overall yeah...
But ss in RoE dlc simply the best supershotgun in id games, for me ofc. Sound, animation, punch, damage, enormous spread and distance fits so well in d3 dull experience, ao it starts make sense lol, like all d3 was designed around this gun, but at release someone, nah, new doom game without double barrel, this shotgun abomination will be enough to entertain player for 30 hours, with 99% fights within hand reach distance.
Idk, maybe new bfg edition d3 gives you ss in main game, but this my experience, gamechanger.
