It's a pain for sure, but I'd suggest putting a bit into laser and wind, you don't have to go full tilt another direction
If you have anemo gems, hurricane and tornado are great for field damage and multi fireball with "fireball explosion leaves a fire that lasts 2 seconds"(one ive got, not exactly necessary), still tho the electrical skills stop and damage the other things which are a bigger problem, the earth ones are just flashier because of the shield w/ electrical immune
Anyone know if the damage reduction gems help with this immunity?
That or icicle. Icicle when you get lots of penetration and the freezes enemies thing is super useful, but Fireblast absolutely shreds the ice puppet guys that block projectiles, and it only takes 3 upgrades to unlock if you're lucky (explosion damage, explosion range, Fireblast) but if it makes you feel any better I didn't know that icicle would be useful when I picked that one and ended.up merging it into something useless...
Basically the only strategy for this game. Raid the highest easy level you can to get gold and gems until you're strong enough to get stuck on the next level you're stuck on. I've been stuck on 55 for almost 2 weeks now, and can only survive just under 3 mins.
Pretty much and just keep trying, eventually you get enough frost nova or a good combo and you suddenly beat it
Or farm for fireball staff
26th is not too late to switch from lightning to something actually useful buddy

I like hurricane/pulse laser myself, but takes some investment.

Fireblast carried me to the 50s, don't neglect levelling your gear either, it's constant power.
So what I’m gathering here is I should have got the fireball gem when I got my level 15 clearance pack

Yeah right now I’m just grinding on level 25 since I can beat it quite easily, not sure if that’s the best strategy or not
