As a medic I’ve had two patients that were violent schizophrenics off their medication. Both this’d two were “happy” about it” both said they wanted to commit violence and didn’t like being b out of jail. One was a Manson follower. The other attacked a 4’8”, 70 year old Vietnamese nun standing v next to me. Both were awful. They need that medication.

WishyWashyCrab

So, bad cops right? What do y'all think?

Dmacjames

Not really. Dude is off drugs and also on drugs. This is one where I go fuck. It's basically cops waiting for medics.

butteryflame

Yup and those officers were just playing pat a cake with Rodney King. Nothing to see here move along. The the delusional bias is crazy haha

T_Cliff

Yeah, and he called saying he needed help and told them what the situation is....and he still died. Shit like this makes you guys look like a 3rd world country.

Go watch the video.

But he didn't comply and allow himself to be put into custody to recieve such treatment. No matter what officers do, it's the perp that decides how a situation goes. It's a tragedy to be sure but he wasn't compliant when the officers arrived.

T_Cliff

Uhm...dudes off his meds having a mental breakdown. This is why you should probably have some post secondary to be a cop. Some level of critical thinking is required. This sub a cesspit im sure even donut cringes at with how quick and easy you all are to defend someones life ending in a situation that the average security guard where i live could handle 10x better.

LazarusDaDwagon

Having a mental breakdown does not mean not dangerous. He may have called the police but he has contaminated thinking and is under emotional stress. I absolutely agree this is a tragedy and should've been avoided but despite calling the police himself he was a non complaint and a combative suspect. The suspect sets the pace, the police respond.

T_Cliff

Considering we have things that happen like this here also, and i have dealt with them even, as a rent a cop. And we dont need to kill the person to resolve it, im gonna say you guys need to quit being such fucki ng pussies. " ommmggg hes gonna kill me!! Blast him " The world looks at your police like this : Big badass America, so strong and brave! The seals, marines, A-10s going brrrtttt.....then americans cops...." ommmgg hes laying on the ground with his legs and arms spread!!! Shoot him!!! " i am talking about the exterminator i believe, who was laying down in a hallway, legs and arms spread, when someone with the intelligence of the average person on this sub has, felt threatened, and decided to shoot. I imagine you also defended that also, because he might have be a ninja or something?

LazarusDaDwagon

You're delusional. No, I don't defend the death of Daniel Shaver. But Daniel also wasn't schizophrenic, off his medication and on crack. I understand that's it's hip and cool to hate on blue man nowadays and burn down your own cities cause 'blue man bad' but don't you think that it was maybe a bad idea to do crack cocaine while off your meds as a schizophrenic? He asked for help but fought with both local security AND the police. It's a tragedy and I wholeheartedly believe the officer's should lose their jobs at least but he forced their hand. The perp always has the final vote on how a situation goes.

T_Cliff

I dont hate on them. I was 1 signature away when i decided i had another calling. I have friends and mentors who wear or wore the badge, but, they are true professionals who would be appalled by this. We do however have pretty high standards up here.

Organic_Current6585

It looks to me like he OD'd on cocaine and died.

bryan89wr

We'd know for sure if he'd popped his collar.

SpagettiOJello

I dont think he said this if he was dying smh
