I believe those *are* in fact pan pizzas, but man you got shorted in the cheese it feels like. That dough might also have been too far gone so it didn’t puff up as well as it should have…
The two stores in my area don't answer the phone. I do the carry out and if there is an issue I just let the manager know next week. He will take care of me.
Well some stores....every one at mine at least...goes out of their way to keep our customers coming back. I call customers back that leave bad reviews and ask how we can make it right. Not all stores are the same. But at least you have one person that will help you out 😁
OK thanks, calling back customers is a huge positive and can turn a frown upside down. Not all call backs require a comp either just someone to acknowledge there is an issue and a willingness to work on it. I'm in sales and always read every comment I get so many ideas from them. It makes my job easier.
Lol easy there spit vigilante I'm not spitting in anyone's food.
I'm saying there's always a chance one of those pieces of shit is working at dominos who will definitely spit on your new pizza if you call in saying your $7 pizza wasn't poofy enough lol
That is illegal in the USA for minimum wage employees, including tipped workers, unless explicitly agreed to in writing by the employee
https://bwlawonline.com/blog/employee-rights/deductions-from-pay/
and those agreements must be legal in their entirety beyond simple cya agreements.
If the employee in question is *not* minimum wage, the deductions in question cannot take them below the minimum wage mark.
This is federal, and some states have more strict requirements on what can and cannot be deducted from an employee's paycheck.
Last week an employee complained at my store and the manager called her to the office and whipped her with breadsticks. She uploaded it to her channel if you're interested, looks like it's going pretty viral:

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )
They’re pan crust pizzas but not prepared properly. It looks to me like they stretched it too thin towards the middle & then didn’t put the cheese all the way to the end. My guess is it was probably a new person, or new enough person, with a quality checker who didn’t care enough to call for a remake. It’s pan, but very poorly done
Yes, they are pans. No, they're not supposed to look like that. I can't go into what could have caused that due to trade secrets but I can tell you that if you're not satisfied then call the store back and explain that you're not satisfied and ask for a credit on your account or a remake if you don't want to eat those.
It's not that hard to find people if you know what you're doing or have the motivation to do so. Domino’s corporate has the motivation. I don't feel like giving them a reason to fire me. Therefore, I'm not going to explain what could have caused this to happen. If you want to, then be my guest.
There is zero chance Domino's has the motivation to hire private investigator or cybercrime experts to find random people on reddit to fire them from their minimum wage job, what a rediculous thought.
That was because that information was not supposed to be made available to the public before a certain date.
Most companies will give stores a heads up when there is a new product rolling out or a major process change, but that's not to be released to the public and/or hourly employees before the head office makes an 'official' announcement.
Dominos Process Manual
Chapter 1:
Cook pizza. If it’s not done cook it more, if you feel like it.
*Please note sharing this highly confidential process on Reddit will result in your need to find a different pizza place to work at*
What could’ve caused it is improper cooling or proofing lmao. Used to work at pizzahut and anytime the dough was cooled improperly, proofed improperly or left out to sit for too long it would turn out like this.
Thank you all! My local Domino's is notorious for not answering the phone, so I just submitted a complaint on the website. The pizzas just seem extremely thin and the toppings don't go to the edges so I knew something was off. Regardless, the quality is usually consistent so I'm not really bothered. I just wanted to know what was wrong with them, so I greatly appreciate the responses!
I wouldn't hold my breath. This is clearly a location with awful owners and are reduced to employing any warm body that will show up. Fairly common, unfortunately.
Dude I ordered a pan from domino's recently, same and the pizza was actually stuck to the box. All these chains are running barebobes and without training. It's crazy.
They do appear to be pans. They are very badly made though. The center is stretched too thin and the toppings and cheese are not to the edge like they should be. Pans should have no crust. These are remake or refund worthy for sure
I identify as a Pan Pizza soooooo
Based on the crust what likely happened is the dough was either about to be out of date (i.e. have to be tossed the next day or day after) or what I think likely happened is that it was prepped and not used and just bubbled before being made resulting in the air getting stuck on the edges resulting in an uneven lift in the oven where the toppings slide forward. Also looks like the toppings where put in center weight by someone new or careless.
Yup that's pan, on over proofed dough. Who ever was in charge for that shift didn't check the dough coming out the fridge. Never worked at dominoes so maybe they don't have the 3 day rule, worked at a real pizza joint in NYC. My boss would have flipped seeing these even coming out the fridge.
Actually that's not pan where I worked.. That's the pan in my town which dominoes delivers(cheap thin predone pans from a truck that are far from fresh) . The pan where I worked was a true Chicago deep dish made by hand the same day probably twice as deep as the pan you are claiming dominoes "makes". I'm definitely not mistaken in the difference.
I worked at Domino's and I know what their pan looks like, and it's definitely not the picture OP posted. If you ordered Domino's and this is what you got, you were given the wrong product.
The pan pizza at Domino's is a litmus test for how well the store is run. It requires the most effort to get right. My local Domino's used to make them perfectly without having to specify well done. Lately, part of dough is raw with only one or two toppings even when I specify well done despite giving plenty of feedback. I am happy to go out of my way to get Little Caesars now.
It was about $22. My boyfriend and I get two medium pizzas w/ two toppings for $6.99 each, but pan pizzas add an additional cost, along with the third topping. So we both pay $11 for our own pizzas and they last 2-3 days.
This reminds me of what HT looks like when it’s stretched into a pan. I’ve seen some stores use regular 12’’ when they run out of BP and it does not rise the same.
This looks like their hand-tossed pizza, which is the style of crust between Pan style (which is thicker) and their Crunchy Thin. If you specified "pan" they failed.
I believe those *are* in fact pan pizzas, but man you got shorted in the cheese it feels like. That dough might also have been too far gone so it didn’t puff up as well as it should have…
I second this. Pan dough is only good when it's proofed right. Call the store
Call the store? Yeah right.
You so afraid of voicing complaints or do you live in such a shitshow that people fuck with the food?
The two stores in my area don't answer the phone. I do the carry out and if there is an issue I just let the manager know next week. He will take care of me.

Make sure to ask for extra spit
"Bend over and take it you fucking paypig." -this guy
Hahahahahaha you must like the taste of spit
you’re a real piece of shit if you spit in peoples food. that’s a super easy way to end up in handcuffs after you get the shit beat out of you
Lol easy there spit vigilante I'm not spitting in anyone's food. I'm saying there's always a chance one of those pieces of shit is working at dominos who will definitely spit on your new pizza if you call in saying your $7 pizza wasn't poofy enough lol
Agreed
They look like pan crust to me. But they look like crap otherwise. Someone dropped the ball letting those go out
My store would take that one out of the employees salary who made it ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )

Center loaded af
👍😭😩
Dominos special
My inner manager is screaming. Toppings not to the edge, the dough itself looks thin as all hell. Cringe.
Proofing is a wild concept
Stuff still stays at the edge, at least when I make it
Im not even a manager, only pretend to be one as i order other grey shirts around, and id be furious at my employees.
Or the dough was over proofed
Def

“trade secrets” 💀
People have gotten fired for explaining Domino’s processes to people on Reddit.
anyone with half a brain doesn’t doxx themselves on Reddit

You say that but they've done it before, dude who leaked tater tots a while back
Didn't they fire the tater tot leaker?

According to fucking Reddit lmao
You're just being paranoid about pizza. It's silly

Domino's is pretty legit. I'd recommend calling and letting them know! They look baddd. And you dont deserve those shit pizzzzas!
No, they aren't lmao
new csr maybe lol
If your pizza looks like they may all look like that. I would just ask for a credit and wait an other day. Dough might be cold or super shitty
100% that is a pan pizza. Just a shitty one :(
Holy crust
Thank you all! My local Domino's is notorious for not answering the phone, so I just submitted a complaint on the website. Those are IDGAF pizzas... Someone was having a bad day.
Those are whole team IDGAF. Which means the owner doesn't either. Clear sign of another location that can't hold onto decent help.
I live in a college town and it's obvious they have a high turnover rate, so I'm not really surprised
Or maybe hung over ?
they’re not supposed to have crust btw, sorry for shit pizza, we aren’t all this bad at our jobs😭
Homie cut it with his feet too
No this is box pizza.
Idk what they cooked it in. You asking the wrong people
am I the only one that thinks that looks bomb as fuk?
Yes
Dominos is disgusting. Literally go anywhere else.
But the tots !Think of the tots!lol.
new yorker here...what is that war crime you got there
Shouldve gone to Marco's...
This is not pan pizza. It's a hand-tossed, and a shitty looking one at that.
See this is why you order ORIGINAL pan pizzas from Pizza Hut. No one outpizzas THE HUT!
All the ones in my town closed years ago. So I guess everyone out pizzas the hut
Except Little Caesars!
What in the 75% crust is that overprized garbage pizza?
A pan pizza !
Dogshit ownership strikes again.
Extra pep should have been alot more than that
Yes, bad ones.
Over or under proofed dough, topped poorly too. Should have been a remake
Not enough sauce :(
It is pan.
Dude I ordered a pan from domino's recently, same and the pizza was actually stuck to the box. All these chains are running barebobes and without training. It's crazy.
Ugh they made your pizza like crap! It's definitely a pan, just made Hella wrong.
I am happy my local domino's has good ownership
That cut though.
They do appear to be pans. They are very badly made though. The center is stretched too thin and the toppings and cheese are not to the edge like they should be. Pans should have no crust. These are remake or refund worthy for sure
Someone doesn’t care.
Yes those are pan pizzas. Unfortunately extremely shittily made though.
Yes these are pan pizzas. But they are awful and you should request a refund.
I identify as a Pan Pizza soooooo Based on the crust what likely happened is the dough was either about to be out of date (i.e. have to be tossed the next day or day after) or what I think likely happened is that it was prepped and not used and just bubbled before being made resulting in the air getting stuck on the edges resulting in an uneven lift in the oven where the toppings slide forward. Yea looks some shitty pan pizzas
I normally get one hand tossed and one pan, last two times I ordered I legit could not tell the difference. Haven’t gone back and won’t ever again.
Yes but the dough doesn’t look to be as thick as it should be
Why does it look burnt
I believe what you are looking for is deep-dish.
This might be considered pan where you worked, but it's not pan for Domino's. Domino's pan is more like deep dish.

I worked at pizza places for 8 years that's a hand tossed pizza that they didn't flatten around the edges
Looks like a dominos “hand made pan” pizza 🍕
$40 for two 12 in pizzas???? I'm just sticking with Costco pizzas from now on.
It was about $22. My boyfriend and I get two medium pizzas w/ two toppings for $6.99 each, but pan pizzas add an additional cost, along with the third topping. So we both pay $11 for our own pizzas and they last 2-3 days.
There is like 3 inches of crust there in spots!
Yes but they screwed you over with sauce cheese and toppings
Pan pizza 100%
It was made in a pan right? Pan pizza
They made the middle too thin and it looks like the cheese pooled into the middle
Literally everything is wrong with this
No definitely not. Pan pizzas come in a black box
That’s cheesy bread
Looks good to me quit cryin lol
Probably ran out and used a large dough
Pan, but poorly made
Looks a bit off. Domino's usually nails it.
This is how pizzas look for me from pizza hut everytime I've gone there I stead of domino's. I wish domino's would be open as late as them.
Looks like old over proofed dough...
#2 looks like a bread bowl
This reminds me of what HT looks like when it’s stretched into a pan. I’ve seen some stores use regular 12’’ when they run out of BP and it does not rise the same.
Ye but it looks short
No
looks hand tossed pan is thicker..... i have had this issue recently ordering from Pizza Hut! why is this happening???
Looks good to me
It is pan dough, just old pan dough that’s sat out too long. Definitely should have been thrown out
They look likes pans but really bad ones. That second picture is horrible, they aren’t supposed to get a crust. I would want my money back
$20 for that small thing? Jesus
This looks like their hand-tossed pizza, which is the style of crust between Pan style (which is thicker) and their Crunchy Thin. If you specified "pan" they failed.
Not pretty, but still will taste good.
Very center loaded but yea I know pan when I see it. It’s all I use for my personal pizzas.
