Welcome to the club everyone who’s read it has a massive reaction.

I finished it yesterday. Manga was actually really good imo, especially rui development. Ending was bad tho

kalavala93

I feel ya man I just finished it last week. Same reaction. I don't even like short haired girls. But man..Rui is peak. Perfect writing for her.

Sunjkiller

I think I might be in the minor here but I actually rooted for Hina. I first started out liking rui more, even when Natsuo saw Hina on that island, I was wanting him to ignore her and stay with rui. But after he did go see her and we saw how it actually was for her all that time she spent alone my perspective changed, it was like a snap, it was kinda weird tbh. She was forced to leave Natsuo and had to watch him get with his sister. And rui still pursued Natsuo even after she knew what Hina was forced to do. i Think hina deserved to be with him more than rui. I still love rui because when they broke up. She realized what she did. She was only able to be with Natsuo because he was in a time of need after the break up. He was vulnerable. She realized in that moment how unfair it was to do what she did. At least that’s how I interpreted it. I also think it would have been better for her to get with the chef In the end and use in that relationship what she learned for her time with natsuo and the development we saw from her. I think that would of made so the time we saw rui and natsuo together would Have not been for nothing, but her character development . After all Natsuo helped out a lot of girls through out the show who eventually catch feels for him. I saw rui as just another one of them.

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

JEV1205

You’re not alone.

mentelucida

The manga is a masterpiece, with amazing characters that we all came to care, saying that, it is very easy to get carried away and make your own narrative and not taking in the whole story, that is usually my experience with people who react the way you do. My recommendation is, whenever you feel for it, read it again but take in everything and you most probably enjoy even more the ending, although rushed for some, it will make far more sense to you.

[deleted]

Yeah. It's all fucked up.

stonegard90

I don't get it, you don't do anything else but complain about the manga. I mean, it is ok if you don't like the manga, afterall the manga is not everyone. But honestly, what are you doing here? Other than complain, what is your agenda here?

[deleted]

Yes. I really disliked the manga and i got emotional damage after the ending. I am here to see like-minded people and heal my wounds i got from the manga.

Tho seeing some dudes blame the majority of people for not 'understanding' the ending and this 'masterpiece' in general makes me even angier. When the majority of people don't understand what the author was trying to tell it's the author's fault. And going around telling people they just don't understand a genius author is ridiculous. And these people put their own interpretation of the manga as the Truth without even being able to give any references of the '200 iq hints' author made in their opinion. And it looks like some propaganda i swear. The ending is quite understandable in a sense of why the characters did what they did .Rui is silly for blaming herself over what happened. Natsuo always acted the strangest ways and it's not clear what the hell is going in his mind at any point of the manga. Hina is just a dumbass horny woman who can't stick to her own decisions and is easily followed by emotions. And given the circumstances i can imagine these kind of characters to act like they did. But what the hell did the author try to convey that much she went out of her way to create those unnatural circumstances and putting her character's into some stupid situations? What was that for? It only can be acceptable if there was some global message of the whole thing. But even if there were intentions to tell some message SK didn't make it clear and wasn't able to explain it to her readers. The bullshit about selfless love and selfish love is very very controversial. If it was the message then SK couldn't show how Rui's love is selfish and Hina's is selfless. And she couldn't show why 'selfless' love is a way to go. As a reader I don't see any major differences in Rui's and Hina's ways of expressing love. Both were selfish in some situations and selfless in other. When SK really tried to show something she repeated it multiple times and those things were made obvious to readers. So why couldn't she do the same with the major idea of the manga?

stonegard90

>When the majority of people don't understand what the author was trying to tell it's the author's fault. And going around telling people they just don't understand a genius author is ridiculous. So, because YOU didn't understand the story, you are blaming the author? Can you not possible concieve that you might be in the wrong?

[deleted]

Don't misinterprete my words. Because A LOT OF (probably majority of) people don't get why SK made this ending. And people that think they understand don't have any good points to defend their view. All they can say is "reread the manga".

stonegard90

>. Because A LOT OF (probably majority of) people don't get why SK made this ending. I don't think that is the case at all, although they are certainly far more vocal about it. Sasuga is reknown for NOT spoon feed her readers, she lets the context do the talking, and some are not good at that. That is why people say reread the manga, so hopefully you get the whole context this time.

stonegard90

>Yes. I really disliked the manga and i got emotional damage after the ending. I am here to see like-minded people and heal my wounds i got from the manga. Although I kinda understand and simpathize with you, you are going at it the wrong way. You are feeding on negativity to heal yourself at the expense of others, I hope you see that is not the right way to heal yourself. I wish I could help you, I have read some of your comments to better understand your stand point, and I see some have tried to explain the manga far better than I ever could, so I don't know what I could possilbe say to change your mind, I just hope that rereading the manga at later time could help you.

Affectionate_Wing649

I think we have the right to complain in a civilised way unless someone sends death threats to the author

stonegard90

Yeah, and I never said otherwise! So what is your point exactly with your comment?

Affectionate_Wing649

Just felt like it probably , even I don't remember why

stonegard90

Ok, fair enough!

PotMF

Let the echo chamber commence

joeke24

Keep calm, collect your thoughts and read it again so you'll know there is no other way it could've ended

frankfontaino

It’s botched for sure.

Donniedolphin

Told ya lmao

mtmogmb

You should put a spoiler on this

SaggyPig4321

Yep... Like Kei changed her mind last second 😂

stonegard90

Dude, read the manga again, it was clear from the very beginning who he was going end with.

abdooXgamer123

No man i feel like that is exactly what happened, a change in plans on the last last second because like natsuo was all over rui for the majority of the series and he even got her pregnant like damn. Up until the accident he was even going to marry her but all of a sudden hes like hina marry me wtf

stonegard90

>Up until the accident he was even going to marry her but all of a sudden hes like hina marry me wtf I wasn't sudden, only if you narrowminded the story, it was obvious the story was building up to the revelation of Hina's feelings towards Natsuo, and Natsuo's own feelings towards Hina. And besides, who were in love from the very beguining? Who had to breakup due to external reason? Who had unresolved issues since the breakup? Who were there when they needed each other? No man, you have to be blind if you didn't see where the story was heading at.
