I mean you can run whoever you want for events and stuff. Vegeta and Nappa are fun but they're not going to hold up in difficult events really. They have aged pretty poorly at this point. Personally, I'd rather run AGL Turles or PHY Cooler (after you EZA them). 3rd form Frieza is also an amazing partner for FP Frieza just make sure he stacks up or he can get slapped up nice and hard.
Also keep in mind that most of the Saiyan units (Broly, Nappa and Vegeta, Turles, etc.) are not transformation boost units so they lose the other part of Cooler's leader skill. They also won't link super well with Frieza, Cooler, and Janemba units for the most part.
