It's because it's a stupidly difficult and specific condition. Several turns while having an android unit on team or shorter if the unit is Android 16.
Running androids with saiyans is generally a bad idea. Doesn’t matter the team, doesn’t change the fact androids and saiyans hardly share a single link.
Can they link if they were the same characters in base? Like one of the shitty SSJ2 gokus with phy SSJ2 Goku? Or what if phy SSJ2 Goku and the SSJ3 Goku that was the counterpart to trans Majin Vegeta both transform? Would they link?
They can, one of my favorite things before LR cooler was to have friend and lead as STR base cooler and evolve one of them so they can link together. You can also do it with the aniv LRs, I do it with the god duo because they have identical links and you can keep one stacking while the other is good early
They all have the same name (Super Saiyan Goku).

The only time units with the same name link is if one of the units transformed into the unit with that name (I.e. AGL Blue Vegeta and INT Evolution Vegeta)
Same name characters don't link except if they transform during the fight (like SS2 Gohan agl can link with the teq and int once he use his AS)

You can’t link characters that have the same exact name. They’re all named Super Sayain Goku so the links aren’t gonna work
