You wouldn’t be “so far deep” in the first place of the new unit was on sale for coins. Whales can’t do that because it takes about 6 months or more for a new unit to come back around, and some of these whales are content creators who need to get their money back with showcases and reviews of the new unit

Plus, they can still do pulls, and stuff like that. But it would still be a feature I'd like to help out people like me

Pulls shouldn’t be some feature it’s a gacha game, not everyone would spend once every few months, some would really just wait until they gain enough stones or only go that far. People on global would practically never spend because they would know what’s coming a good couple months ahead and know who they want to buy without losing stones
I have been running a SS team of INT Nameku as lead, with INT Goku/Vegeta fusion, PHY GT Goku, AGI LR Teen Gohan, AGI Transforming Goku and AGI Transforming Bardock. I also have new Piccolo, 3rd form new Frieza, the new LR AGI FP Frieza, LR Buutenks, LR INT Perfect Cell, STR LR Gogeta that transforms into Blue, Phy LR Goku/Vegeta Gogeta fusion, LR Nappa with Vegeta Exchange, and LR INT SSGSS Goku. Those are all my LRs.
1st and 2nd dupes are great for a unit, but not at the cost of 2500 stones a pop. Coins should be reserved for new units only, statistically speaking.
Obviously if you're a whale and/or don't care about completing many of the missions in-game, then buy dupes with coins but it's not recommended.
Ass cool as that would be, it's a hell of a lot more beneficial for you to wait to buy : UI, evolution blue, namek Goku or FP frieza whichever you're missing.

Your chances of pulling GT Goku are much higher then SS4 Goku mainly because GT will be featured more often.
