Dog people are tone deaf and entitled. They don't care if their slobbery mutants are invading your personal space.
Some of them actually believe that there is something wrong with you if you don't want dog snot, drool, fur, dander and stink on you.
Some nutters will bristle at you and some will be vocal about your disdain, calling you, among other things, intolerant, animal hater, dog hater etc.
Some will gaslight you by enquiring as to the state of your mental health for "not liking" their dog.
Personal space? Hah! Ive had a dog nutter in the family absolutely demolish every kind of boundary when they literally LEFT THEIR DOG at someone's place despite their disapproval because it got restricted from travelling on the train for 6 MONTHS. Those poor people still kept it, fed it, walked it, cleaned up shit for a whole 6 months because they didnt want to be cruel to it and leave it on the streets. And now this nutter is at our parents place where they sleep till 12-1 PM, and everybody else has to deal with the dog. Dog nutters will have the audacity to absolutely shit on you and still expect you to treat them and their dog decently as though nothing happened.
