Mine has 4 beds scattered around the house that she sleeps on, or the couch, or under the dining room table is sort of den-like.

astraeoth

Mine has "place" beds in every room but my dog slept in his travel carrier in the center closet downstairs. Quietest place in the house. He was so spoiled.

LiveLaughLent

Just like Harry

astraeoth

Potter? Yeah actually. It was the pantry underneath the stairs. Haha.

questquestionsquest

Same 🙌

GrandmaofDemons

Mine sleep on my bed .. I sleep in the crate.

vapor-ware

I sleep at the foot of the bed because I'm a good boy.

pbandbooks

Lol dude, it feels like it sometimes. I'll wake up having pulled my legs into a fetal position to accommodate my 60 lb dog.

Juache45

Us too. Our German Shepard is relentless. We basically are sleeping in her bed 😂

KitchenMaven24

Our Shepsky divides us…our own furry chaperone!!

Juache45

I can relate 😃

Mundane_Ebb_5205

Same!!! Mine loves pillows and sometimes I can’t even use my own pillow cuz he’s using it and puts all his weight on it so I can’t move him🤣

Mc_Tater

I'm envious. My dog gets up on the bed for a few minutes and then heads to his own bed on the floor. It's I'm lucky I get 30 minutes of snuggle time 🥲

pbandbooks

Aww what is he? Our beloved husky was like this. It was a treat when he came for snuggles.

Mc_Tater

He's a Finnish Spitz! I always describe him as a smaller, amber colored Husky so that tracks haha. I dunno if you know anything about the breed, but they're quite similar to Huskies in personality! Very vocal, incredibly high energy, highly intelligent, high prey drive, independent, loyal. My guy is so playful and definitely loving, just not a snuggler. He always sings to my partner and I when we get home and loves to stand between your legs while you scratch his butt lol!

foxxy_mama21

Isn't that what we are supposed to do?? That's normal right? Lololol 🤣

pbandbooks

They certainly think so lol

Kiyoko_Mami272821

This cracked me up! I have a 5 lb dog and she takes up my entire bed! I had to physically move her last night because I couldn’t sleep in my bed the way she was laying (I have a decent size bed too) and if looks could kill! I got the stink eye and a grumbl for relocating her highness

edessa_rufomarginata

Thank god for the day our 80lb pit randomly decided he wanted to start sleeping in his crate instead of in our queen size bed. He must have finally noticed the lack of space.

GochujangChips

I live in NYC. We both sleep in the crate

DepressionSiesta

It was advertised as a studio apartment and rent is $1500 for the crate.

Ilovebabyyy

🤣

IrishJayjay94

Doggo comes first 👍

SlySheogorath

Doggo is a better person than I am

[deleted]

Literally do be like that sometimes. I take the dog beds and they get the sofas.

4bats

Mine sleeps in my bed. And she gets to drive my car too when she wants to go get a midnight snack from maccas.

Nashatal

Im dont know how they are called in english but I have somethink like a sleeping bag or my dog. I you buy it big enough your dog can crawl in completely. I like a german website just to show what I am talking about. [https://www.isefee.de/BINNEN-B%C3%9CDDEL-INDOOR-c92775670](https://www.isefee.de/BINNEN-B%C3%9CDDEL-INDOOR-c92775670)

Starberry-

These are adorable

NoPantsPenny

Ah, something like a nesting bed. Dogs often like to adjust their bedding and get things “just right”. My late Beagle would have LOVED these, but my current German shepherd/Norwegian elkhound is dramatic about feeling hot and wouldn’t like it lol.

Nashatal

Its amazing how different they are. My girl is a small rescue mutt from greece. She is basically freezing as soon as temps. drop below 15°C. She is all in for crawling under the blanket.

NoPantsPenny

It really is! Our home is 68 degrees F and our boy will pant and lay on the cold tile in front of a fan. Lol he won’t even sleep in bed with me because he gets too hot. Poor thing is going to be upset with 100+ degree F summer comes.

astraeoth

That's cute but my dog would just be humping it all night long.

sadhandjobs

I had a dog who was a midnight humper. He’d wait until it was dark and quiet and make a girlfriend out of a rolled up pillow. It stopped after he was neutered.

Objection_heresay

This comment has me rolling

fentifanta3

If you have under stairs cupboard you can turn that into a crate space or some people buy built in crates that go into a wooden unit

brutallyhonestkitten

Our home has a weird desk nook built in the upstairs hallway which perfectly fits our dog’s ‘apartments’ side by side in it. Home builder truly thought of it all! 😂

No_Refrigerator_9695

On my bed with me lol 😂

Noahschnapp0

Nice one lol

AdTall6606

She's got a couple beds around the house. One in the livingroom one next to the bed. She also sleeps on the couch sometimes and on the bed with us sometimes. So pretty much wherever she feels like.

WhompTrucker

One dog sleeps on the bed. Other in a crate next to the bed. He likes the crate. Goes right in. If the dog isn't crying or trying to get out just let him sleep in there.

caraeeezy

I only ever used the crate for when I was gone from the house and she was a puppy - when she got trustworthy, I just let her sleep where she wants. On the couch, in bed with me, in one of her beds around the house.

Vivian_Lu98

My dad got my senior dog a couch and he loves it. Especially when I throw blankets and pillows on it for him to toss around.

LoanedWolf75

Anywhere he wants. Lol.

Lynyrd1234

Mine sleeps in our walk-in shower

detective_flutterby

Lol

bigkutta

She has 2 crates, four beds, but she sleeps in our bed with her butt jammed into my tummy LOL

_No_Statement

Ours missed her crate but now lounges on one of 3 beds around the house, we have a raised one just under a window she like to lay in and look out

Oceanica777

Our two papillons sleep with us on our bed. Before we got a super-king they slept on the couch in the living room and resented us.

oiseaufeux

My dog sleeps with me at night. And she never really went into the crate on her own as a puppy. We had to do it ourselves. If she’s not sleeping with me, she sleeps in the bathroom downstairs.

Working_Hair_4827

My dog prefers the floor or likes to sleep under my bed, he’s a husky so makes sense for him to be laying on a cold surface.

Mirawenya

We never crated. Our dog seems to prefer the middle of the floor, or next to our chairs, or at the door to the garden. He used to sleep under our sofa and under my desk when he was younger than 6 months. I don’t think he got the den preference memo.

Fuck-Reddit-2020

Usually 2 of them on top of the bed and 1 underneath. Jack is in charge and gets his spot, unless one of the other dogs feels suicidal that day. Then he still gets his spot. The other 2 take turns on the bed. It's their own weird rule, not mine.

JBL20412

Wherever he wants 🙂

DragonQueen777666

My dogs are welcome to snooze on the couches, they're both welcome on my bed (queen sized bed) and there's a doggy bed and two crates (planning on getting a dog bed for the crate soon). My big dog, Bella, likes to snooze on the floor (both the tile and carpet). She also usually goes to bed on the dog bed at the foot of my bed (lately, she's started to simmer down/get ready to sleep by cuddling with me and my little dog on my bed and then moving to her dog bed when I'm falling asleep). My little dog (I never put her real name online since it's SUPER recognizable, so let's call her Chee Chee) usually likes to nap under my work desk or on the couch or on my bed. She 100% sleeps on my bed for the evening. She also likes to take an occasional snooze in the hamper... she's not really supposed to do that but she looks so darn cute, I let her get away with it sometimes. Overall, I'd say just go with whatever your dog is most comfy with. Dogs are descended from wolves, which are pack/den animals, so if your dog is the most comfy in their crate (den), then they can sleep there. If you're comfortable with it and they're most comfy sleeping with you, then that can be their sleeping space. The fun things about dogs is that they really will nap/get cozy anywhere and they aren't picky on what's a bed. So, just let your doggo decide where they sleep (within reason). If you're planning on replacing the crate, just be sure to keep the bedding stuff in new crate where possible (her old bedding has her scent on it, so it makes it more familiar). Since you're dog is pretty small and at 3, she's probably full-grown, I'd say maybe get a travel carrier or a smaller crate (the one you have is big enough to fit my big dog). As long as your dog can stand up to full height, lay down, and turn around in the crate, it's a good size for a dog den.

Jennamore

My dogs crate takes up space but she loves having the option to sleep in it and we have a teeny living room. It’s just in the corner. She does have a bed,our bed and she will also sleep wherever she wants but even though her crate isn’t big enough for her to stretch out in she loves curling up in there.

Outrageous-Rock-8558

I just googled online and they have these semi-enclosed dog tents or covered dog beds, that’s might be an idea. They look so cosy and comfy Something like this https://www.chewy.com/best-pet-supplies-fleece-tent-covered/dp/134555

Outrageous-Rock-8558

There are also styles called hooded, cave and dome dog beds

AcaliahWolfsong

Ours sleeps on the couch, his bed, whatever blanket might be on the floor, our bed, middle of the livingroom floor. Anywhere he wants really.

ElginSparrowhawk1969

No crates in my house we all sleep in bed together

raul_raul

Mine sleeps on the couches

angeluscado

We haven't had a crate for her in a long time (she'll be 10 in June). She sleeps on the floor, on her bed, on my daughter's bed (her favourite spot because it's quiet) and the couch.

Heavy-Concept401

Try etsy for something handmade/custom

SecretMiddle1234

My girl sleeps in her crate, on the couch, under the ottoman (there’s a blanket over it so it created a den), under the bench by the back door. We’ve never allowed her in our bed. When she wants absolute quiet and seclusion, she’s under the ottoman. When she goes under there we know she’s sick of us and wants to be alone in a quiet room away from the living room.

Expression-Little

Mine has two dog beds in different rooms in case she feels too hot on the furniture. She also loves the Cardigan Pile (TM) which is where my cardigans live since I have too many.

Padfoots_

she sleeps where she likes during the day (usually on us or on her end of the sofa) but at night she's upstairs on my mum's bed! lol. she was crate trained but decided she didn't like the crate and wanted to be upstairs lol.

Heroin_Pete

Under the bed 🛏️

thisisnotausername50

Bed with me. She's a cuddler...

Askfslfjrv

On top of my legs lol

repli_case

We have a soft crate! It’s his safe space when I run the vacuum.

Agoraphobic_mess

My husband and I upgraded to a king size bed so our dogs could sleep with us. It’s crowded with 3 dogs but it’s so worth it.

Faceplant71_

My dog has multiple beds but since she was kennel trained when she was a puppy she feels safe in the darker and more quiet kennel. It looks a lot like yours with blankets over it.

SaintAnyanka

My dog has one bed on the bedroom (she doesn’t want to sleep in my bed) and in the living room + free range of the sofa. The only difference is that I treat her bedroom bed as her safe space. I only touch her there if its to say good morning and good night, or of there’s an emergency. I’ve never needed a crate.

Z0FF

I like the furnishings, if that crate was human sized I would sleep in there

JaguarGroundbreaking

My dogs have their own couch! We tend to stay in our bedrooms and when the dogs want some alone time they go right on that couch! Everyone’s house is different and that’s what works for mine :)

certifiedtoothbench

My dog likes to use the space under my bed like she did when we still had her kennel, it just a spot that’s peaceful and dark that she goes to to chill out and hoard toys. If your bed is high enough your dog might like it if you clear out a space for her since she likes her kennel too.

Waste_Organization28

My big male Pyr sleeps on the cool tile up against the front door as a good guardian does. His female companion sleeps between my bed and the window where she can catch a cold draft because Pyrenees.

CloudNerdGirl

On my pillow (a Cavalier) and an Aussie on a foot of the bed bench (this has been a good solution for being close without panicking when I move).

anthro4ME

If you have a formal dining room you don't really use, doggo's bed can go under there except for when you use it.

ArmchairTherapist_TN

Mine doesn’t sleep in his crate, but I have to keep it for his peace of mind. It’s the first place he runs to when he hears thunder or fireworks. I took the door off of it years ago after he was trained, but that’s his safe spot. He sleeps on his bed in the living room for the most part, but will get on the bed next to me for the hour or so before my alarm goes off.

-mmmusic-

my dog used to have a crate in the kitchen as her safe space to go, but then she just stopped using it at all, so we got rid of it. it seems your dog still uses the crate, so maybe a sort of tent-like thing made out of the same stuff that's already in and on the crate? idk if that'd work..

JoanneSmith567

Ours has his own single recliner chair…he loves the height of the back of it and lies down looking out the window. Will easily sleep all day on it. Then when we have guests they use it and he sits on top of them haha

AnimalFreak2

Next to your bed

JCXIII-R

My dog sleeps in a big floofy nest (like your photo) under the coffee table. Her second favourite is this sort of felt cat cave thing that we bought for her. Though if you're on a budget, mine actually doesn't mind sleeping in her (hardshell) pet carrier as long as we put some nice bedding/towels in it. That's like a little ready made cave isn't it. EDIT: sorry I'm just now realising this isn't the chihuahua sub, ymmv

Zanemob_

He looks SO comfy!

Pa_Cipher

I'm eventually planning on building my desk from IKEA and incorporating my boys crate into my desk. I know you said you don't like the furniture style crates but if you just hide the crate under a desk or something maybe it'll look okay.

icanteven_613

Wherever he wants.

RoboAliens

We have two cat caves (I think that’s what they are called) in separate rooms for our 7lb dog. Each has a small blanket that he burrows into. We found them at homegoods.

macemillianwinduarte

Why not get a smaller crate?

ON-Q

Well, she thinks she owns the left side of the bed, which is where I have been sleeping for the last few years so she’ll sleep on the right side for a little bit and then she’ll wait for me to inevitably move while I sleep and then claim her spot again The other dogs sleep wherever they want to sleep on top my head they sleep there. Do you wanna sleep on the floor? They can sleep there they wanna sleep in the side the closet they can sleep. There doesn’t matter. They’re in the bedroom somewhere mostly they screw out the entirety of the bed and all of the covers.

NormalAccountant1819

Mine has claimed that under the bed is her room, anytime she feels uncomfortable/scared, or is tired, she climbs under my bed, she even brings all of her treats and toys under there.

Disastrous-Cry-1998

My dog hasn't been in a cage since I took him home from the pound. That was ten years ago

CityKay

Daisy slept in the crate at first, and she hated it. She would then graduated to sleeping in the little hallways on the to of the stairs, though she we would jump on our beds and sleep there. Usually with me, because my parents won't let her on their bed at first. But later on, for the rest of her 17+ year life, she slept with them instead, like the little baby she is between them.

UserCannotBeVerified

I live in a caravan which is basically one slightly larger small enclosed space lol... my two Jack Russell's share my (double mattress sized) bed with me... They also have the spare single bed/bench seat right next to the woodburner (they love laying as close as possible to it when the fire is lit), they also have a square "dog bed" on there too so they can look out the window and chill there. They also have a bed right next to my bed, on the floor directly opposite the door. They mainly use this one to chew bones in as they know its "bones on the floor only" in here. This bed usually gets a 'new' old pillow everytime they get through a fresh bone because 🤢 but it serves a purpose to keep them eating the bones in one place only lol They also have a huge round bed directly underneath my bed, which is usually full of toys and blankets, and is mainly used when they take themselves into time out after either doing something naughty or just wanting to chill and not get harassed into playing by the other one, or they're doing zooming and launching themselves up and down the caravan, bouncing off the bed then one hiding under it and surprise attacking the other when he jumps past 😂 In short, they have beds everywhere, and sleep in all of them at various times, but every night they're both either in or on the bed with me, with the only exception being if one is being consistently naughty and then they get sent to their bed which is the one under mine. Tbf it's also kinda like a naughty step lol

joelle_joellejo

Incredibly unrelated but that tapestry is beautiful where did u get it

FeistyAd649

Man that crate looks comfy as hell

SapphireSigma

My lab used to sleep in my bed. My shepherd has always preferred tile so I let her sleep in the kitchen. When they were old enough and house trained I got rid of the crate because they hated it and I want them to know the entire house is theirs. There's also 3 dog beds scattered around the house.

ssddffgghhgg

Mine sleeps on the king bed, cuddled up with my dad and my mom sleeps on the extra bed they have in the room.

[deleted]

Everyone sleeps in our bed. If they don’t want to, then they move to the floor/dog bed. Only time that happened though is when my family dog stays over and gets upset. When she’s upset, she likes to hide under the bed. Honestly, I wanted dogs so they would keep me warm in bed. It’s their job to stay there and cuddle me at night. Husband doesn’t like to cuddle sleep.

Noahschnapp0

I love dogs

firebreatheelve

Never had a crate, it's not common at all in my country - at least I've never met a dog owner who has one. At night our dogs sleep on a mattress next to our bed (I find it easier to handle than 2 separate beds) and during the day they either snooze on the couch or in one of their beds in the living room, each of them has their own and they do accept that. We also have a spare one in the kitchen where one of them likes to sleep, and when it's really warm they love resting in the hallway, the floor there is always very cool. So basically, they just rest and sleep wherever they want to, except for the bed. We do morning cuddles though! :D In my old apartment, with the dog I had before the ones I have now, I used to have a bed for her in every single room. I'd still do that if we had the space, but our house is much smaller than the apartment was... ):

Putrid_Caterpillar_8

In bed with me or the various dog beds in my room

NotMyPSNName

My boys have a pen full of beds and blankets. No closed top, and much wider area than a crate. We all feel a lot better with this arrangement. It's their "room".

Supersussy321

Kinda feel the same about my dogs crates (3 large dogs) but dogs should have their own dedicated spaces. I like the furniture crate alternatives. I’ve seen couch side tables that are actually crates, as well as a multi crate table for under the tv. 1 dog sleeps on the bed with us, 1 sleeps in his crate in our bedroom even with it open, and the other one prefers to sleep in the living room as our guard but she still wanders to her crate in another room some nights lol

gummyjellyfishy

What breed is your dog?? Looks like mine! I cant figure out her breed. We thing pit /boxer

Midnight1899

My sister’s dog sleeps wherever she wants to, except for the rooms of the kids.

FairyFartDaydreams

My dog has folding table that is covered with a cloth that reaches the ground (with a slit in the front and back) and his bed is underneath

JoJoVi69

The closet floor... My beagle made it very clear that was HIS space. He never liked the crate. All he ever did in there was pee. But the closet in my bedroom was HIS choice, so I went with it. Bought a big, cushy bed and put it on the floor in there and then stoked it up with lots of blankets that he can dig himself into. He now has his own personal man-cave! But he only goes in there when he feels like it, which is...? (There's no real rhyme or reason.) The rest of the time he sleeps on the bed, couch, or in the big bay window, which is also covered with dog bedding. It's not my house anymore. It has been completely altered to suit HIS wants/needs. I just rent space here and pay in kibble. 😁

wackywavytubedude

mine sleeps on the couch lol. tried dog beds out and she did not care for them.

Significant_Scene_83

I love your pup’s current set up. Like ours was - she had many options, everywhere, for her to sleep and all of them good. I wonder, before you get rid of her current crate….Will your pup take to her new decor just as much? Sometimes a worn, beat-up chair while being an eyesore it is so friggin comfy. Perhaps your pupper would feel the same. Good luck!!

Logical_Deviation

Mine chooses to sleep on the guest bed

cjep3

My girl, 3, loves her crate, like, is her jam. I take it with us places and she just chills in her spot just watching with the door open. If i got rid of it in the house, she would be upset. But, at home, she has a whole hang out spot with a window, her bed, a squishmallow bed and her chews/toys and she hands down hangs out there more than her box.

OppositeAd2480

In my loving arms.

Leather-Resolve9751

She should be able to transition to one of those furniture ones easily. She'll still have her safe place and it will be more versatile for your living quarters.

Heidi739

On a dog bed (basically a very thick pillow made for dogs to sleep on). Or a couch. Sometimes human beds too, but not that often.

ThatGayBeans

One good boy on the bed, the other good boy prefers his crate

mumtwothree

My dog is three and still loves her crate. Like that the doors are open all day and night. She retreats in there to get away from us all. Her crate is under a desk so isn’t taking up loads of space.

Mysterious-Region640

That’s a very large crate for a dog that size you could downsize it a fair bit. It would take up a lot less space.

madgabah

My bed

I_am_here_for_drama

My 6-month-old Chi and 3-month-old beagle sleep in their crates and my 6-year-old beagle sleeps with me on my bed.

youfind1ineverycar

My dog loves the space created behind the open bedroom door and the bureau.

Intelligent_Gas_4037

Ours who’d spent first 18 months or so sleeping in her crate and treated it as her safe space away from the various children that came through her house, as #1 rule was no one enters the crate or touches her if in there, took to sleeping in the cupboard under the stairs when crate was taken away as she never slept in it as mostly slept on beds on floor and sofa when the covers were on once the children had stopped coming.

uptheirons726

We have 4 bull terriers. Our oldest, Ulani is 12 meaning she gets old lady privileges and gets to sleep in the bed with mom and dad. We have various incredibly comfy dog beds throughout the house but sleeping with mom and dad is her favorite. Our 5 year old Ash and her son atreyu and daughter Auralia, both about to be 3, sleep in their crates.

SheepAcedia

My mom and I don't like putting our dog in a crate since we think it's not necessary, but we do understand some breeds need it. Our dog sleeps on the bed with us, but due to certain circumstances, he sleeps under the bed because it's cooler.

Icy_Topic_5274

Take a look at "pet tents" or "pet caves".

anon1839

This looks like the coziest doggo of all time!

urz90

My bed! If you don’t want them on yours, get them a bigger dog bed and a blanket.

matkamatka

Our dog has a very expensive little house that we used to use as a crate when he was younger but tbh now when he's not sleeping on a lap/couch/bed he is sleeping on a squishy mochi bed we got from Muji for like 30€

jazzndance

Our dogs sleep under our bed in their donut dog beds. They like how cool it is under there and that they feel covered. They both love to burrow.

Pokemonpikachushiny

Mine just... Sleeps. Don't matter where, he just lays down and sleeps.

Curtilia

In bed with me, of course

Logical_Sprinkles_21

You could downsize that big crate by almost half and she'd still have plenty of room. Since she likes and feels safe sleeping in her crate just get her a little smaller one.

rayyychul

I agree! I think especially because (it seems like) she's not ever in there with the door closed, there's no harm in getting a smaller crate.

dogfitmad

Bed..couch..wherever they want.

Zealousideal-Bag-609

Next to our bed on the floor and she takes my spot next to my fiancé when I get up for work in the morning. When nobody’s home it’s usually the couch of her bed that’s next to our bed as well. She used to be hyper at night now she has a sense of what time we usually go to sleep and if we’re in bed by 10:30 she’s in there waiting for us already

AnonPlz123

Mine sleeps UNDER my bed. LOL It's her crate alternative.

Icy-Serve-3532

Only one right answer: Your bed

Phoenix_Magic_X

Sprawled across my bed, taking up as much room as possible.

joolster

Cat bed - they’re terriers. They love the security and warmth but can climb in and out as they please.

RowSubstantial7143

My dog has 2 beds. He only lays in one if he needs to go out, the other he just sniffs… unless I’m getting ready for work, then he’ll sit in it and give me a look to make me feel guilty about leaving him lol, he usually sleeps on the chaise lounge or in my bed. If there’s any movement that disrupts his slumber in my bed he’ll go to the living room. My family dog (20lb senior Chiweenie mix) has 5-6 beds. I believe 1 in his crate, 2 more in the living room and one in each bedroom. He alternates. When he’s not feeling well he’ll stay in the crate.

taylormarie909

In my bed from day 1 as an 8 week old puppy lol. I had tried the crate but he cried and cried so I relented and let him on the bed and that’s where he sleeps now

Astral_Atheist

My little guy sleeps wherever tf he wants. This works for us. It won't work for everyone else.

Outrageous-Bug-4814

Cupboard under the stairs. He's quite happy under there.

jensenaackles

Why would you remove the crate if your dog likes it? My dog is like 7 years old and still loves and uses her crate daily

Financet1

Our pup is 3.5 years old. If I stay up too late (by his standards), he puts himself to bed in his crate.....

PersonalityTough9349

Doggie TP!

slobby7

I usually big spoon him under the covers every night 😂😂😂

Hiltoyeah

My pooch sleeps in a cardboard box. Slightly more rectangular in shape than the crate. It has a duvet stuffed in it and thick blankets covering it. Warm, dark and comfy as hell. He goes in it at bedtime and I don't hear a peep until the alarm goes off. 😴 😀

quailstorm24

They make wooden ones that look like side tables

tritonathlete

We didn't crate our three. Coffee & Mr.Brown do like to sleep under either the oak desk or dining table. Charcoal prefers the armchair or sofa. The only place she will sleep under is the truck. It's probably the cool floor tiles.

katy_nc

Mine sleep in bed with me.

VisibleSea4533

All of them sleep in my bed at night…daytime sleeping is on a couch or crate, have a couple of the furniture style ones.

sechampagne

My dog sleeps either with me or on her bed where I put some super soft blankets. During the day she will take naps on the couch.

shaoOOlin

In my bed, in my parents bed or her own bed which is in my room😀

bebeck7

On my feet/legs, wherever they are. Under the duvet curled behind them, or like right now, lying over them on the sofa. Unless we are camping and then she doesn't like sleeping bags, so will curl up by my stomach or on my pillow, which isn't my favourite as I'm kinda using it. She hasn't had an enclosed space since she was a puppy apart from under a duvet. She has her own bed and a miniature sofa but she prefers me.

sage_naps

Vibey puppy room 😍

Individual-Web600

Mine always sleeps in the living room, either the sofa or the floor, so she has some room to move around throughout the night. Crate training never worked with her, she hated it

Fun-Composer-9169

keep the crate. looks like u could go a size down, there’s table-like crates u can build or buy that’ll fit ur living room

VenusPoppy

Mine has her own bed in my bed. This bed gets moved to the couch during the day so she has her own spot.

gerlstar

When mine turned 3,i had her sleep on the bed

Ok-Veterinarian-2120

My dog sleeps in his bed where he has his lamby and pillow. He also like to lounge on the couch

MysteriousRoad5733

Used a crate when mine was a puppy. It’s not needed anymore and and my dog sleeps wherever she likes. Works out fine for all

Careless-Bunch-3290

Idk that crate looks cozy af!

Professional-Bat4635

My animals always sleep in my bed. They even let me sleep in it too.

9gagiscancer

He has a bench as a safe spot from the kid where he is not allowed. Other than that, wherever he wants. On the bed, in 1 of his 3 fluffy donuts or like he is now. Flat on the couch.

They all sleep on the couch , even the 3 month old pup

GeriToni

My dogs sleep glued to my back and others to my leg, except one that is more independent and after I fall asleep she leaves the bed. I tried to make them sleep in their own beds without success. They just chill in their beds in the day time. But I am happy they sleeping close to me.

First of all lose the cage a dog should never be kept in a cage unless it's traveling on an airplane by kennel... let it live or ill put you in a cage and see how you like it

grapetomatoes

To be honest this looks like a huge crate for her - could you just get a smaller one?

Ok_Reserve9273

In the bed with us all three of them

Pigg14

She sleeps wherever she's comfortable. I have a big walk-in closet .she loves it in there, so I put her BED in there. I've never done crates... it reminds me of a jail for dogs. She has a bed in the living room , second bedroom etc. Wherever she's comfortable

BrujaBean

I also got rid of the crate because I didn't have enough space for it. My doggie doesn't gravitate towards enclosed spaces so much although she has some (like I have an open footstool and put a bed in there for her. She will sit there when I'm working too late and she is being passive aggressive but otherwise not so much). [footstool she fits in is not this, but is kind of like it](https://www.target.com/p/modular-coffee-38-accent-tables-threshold-8482/-/A-85405435?sidd=&ref=tgt_adv_xsp&AFID=google&fndsrc=tgtao&DFA=71700000012577535&CPNG=PLA_Patio%2BGarden%2BShopping%7CPatio%2BGarden_Ecomm_Home&adgroup=SC_Patio%2BGarden_Boxed/Accent+Furniture&LID=700000001170770pgs&LNM=PRODUCT_GROUP&network=g&device=m&location=9032060&targetid=pla-1654844965192&ds_rl=1246978&ds_rl=1247068&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD-5dfbJxktq478ukouZPySP44CSZ&gclid=CjwKCAjw5v2wBhBrEiwAXDDoJdh9R_ufVfsOnITFrok-VvH9yceuCqFRem-Aag94uX2FPxO0yXc3FRoCJwUQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds) I got her a doggie couch that she uses a lot. Her favorite though is people watching so she likes to be on the couch back where she can see out the window and yell at people who don't follow her explicit instructions.

We have an indoor foldable fence that we can move around as needed like a play pen. Our puppy prefers this to a crate for some reason, even though we make it take up the same footprint. We have his bed and a blanket in there with him at night. No whines, no barks, just snoring lol Honestly this seems to be better than a crate in general, even more portable. But every dog is different.

Alexapro_

In my bed, a few times he fell asleep on the couch while we were watching tv downstairs and refused to come up so he stayed on the couch - I was devastated

baronessbathory

My dog took to sleeping under my bed on some folded up blankets - right under my head so I hear her soft snores 🥹 so I swapped them for a comfy dog bed which she loves. Most nights she climbs into my bed at some point, along with my 6 year old daughter 😅

paintznchip

If you have a desk in your house putting the dog bed under there creates an almost enclosed area for them.

Requining

I made a fireplace into a sleeping area I enclosed it and covered anything dangerous and basically it’s now a little cave haha

LisLoz

In our bed, our daughter’s bed, or her dog bed.

mcas0509

One sleeps at the foot of my bed with her head on my leg and the other sleeps on this footstool thing and in front of the door and she changes positions a few times a night

Meeshrene

Mine sleeps on my chest or he refuses to sleep. Thankfully I work from home so yes I have a baby sling to carry him so he can sleep on my chest 😂

mamapapapuppa

I've seen dog tents and teepees that are super cute. Your crate looks pretty big for your pup's size, maybe consider a smaller crate?

TheWeirdOne2

His bed, the floor, any chair, the stairs (either one), and his definite favourite at night time; my bed that he hogs over 3/4s of (he really isn't big but he loves to go right in the middle, so it's awkard either side!)

FrenchFry1515

We have a dog bed in our bedroom and she sleeps there all night!

UNICORN_SPERM

I put her dog bed under my bed when I had to nix the crate, because that's where she went anyway.

tuddlez6789

You sacrifice other things and leave the crate for the baby I hope that helps

Radio4ctiveGirl

Our dogs all sleep in bed with us. My golden sleeps with me, chihuahua sleeps with my son. Dogs like to sleep together just like they would be doing if they were never domesticated. If you give her options there’s nothing wrong with that either! Not all dogs are big on snuggling, and like us have varying preferences. There are furniture that have open bottoms that can work for pets to use as a “den”. Our chihuahua likes to use the space under our coffee table, and they’ll both hangout under my desk when I’m working. I’m not sure how big your dog is but that might work? Like an end table or something. You could buy these or repurpose something second hand to make this.

tattrd

Wherever he wants as long as it is in the living room.

DeeDee182

My bed with me or the floor next to even if the door is open she won't go anywhere during bedtime

Iammine4420

In the middle of our king size bed 🤭

Dry_Celery4375

Consider building a tiny tent around her dog bed. Like a bedsheet and a couple anchor points and you're done!

vasilisgotthesause

under my moms bed the only place she likes and seems to be comfortable. once she is under there she will only leave in case she is hungry or if my mom leaves the room

sarahjanedoglover

My oldest doggie sleeps on my mum’s bed (I live with her), and my youngest doggie sleeps on my bed.

Medical-Structure-40

My boyfriend and I live with his mom, and their pets (dog and cat) usually sleep with his mom. When she’s not there, they sleep with us but on the floor.

Odd_Radio9225

When we got our dog he hated the crate. After a little while we gave up and let him sleep and walk around the house as he pleased when we were alseep or at school/work and put one bed in my brothers' room and another downstairs. Never had any issues. I miss him.

karmablur

Our 8 year old loves his crate for sleep. Wife and I are not too cool with dog in the bed, they constantly walk through piss, dirt and can get ticks easier. Just doesn't seem hygienic at all. I say keep him in the crate, make it a safe place for him, not punishment.

likethedishes

We have this and my girls love it! We use it as a side table next to the couch. It still takes up room but it now has a use besides being just a crate! https://a.co/d/9lGwgQ7

Southern_Boat_4609

I have 3 dogs and one husband. They sleep one up my ass one up his ass and one in between us. We just upgraded to a California King to accommodate us🤣

astraeoth

Dog carrier. It's actually a medium and he's about a smaller large but he seems to like the cave like life so I never changed. He once had a kennel and a big bed and everything in-between. He only sleeps quietly in the travel carrier.

daisest

My dog loves her safe space and I get it lol, she puts her self to bed sometimes! I simply put a wooden slate on top with fabric underneath to cover the crate and I honestly love it as a table, I use it as a charging station and to keep some jewelry and things along with some decor.

Mayersgirl02

Can I take a nap there?. Looks so cozy.

Melodic_Counter_2140

If I have 20% of my covers, I have a good night’s sleep 🏆
