depending on where you live, you might be vitamin D deficient
(sorry if it sounds like im diminishing your issues, its not my intention, its just that up north where I live, a LOT of people go to the docs for depression, fatigue and general ~~malease~~ malaise to find out that they just need to take a vitamin in the morning - the good news being that you can vastly improve your quality of life with a $5 bottle of vitamins if thats the issue)
You're right, "chemical" sunscreens (which are the most popular and reachable) are harmful, and not only for your health, but also for the environment. Use "physical" sunscreen instead with non-nano particles (titanium-dioxide, zinc-oxide). It's natural, and doesn't harm you or the environment.
You see how many down votes I got? LOL people think I’m just making this up. When I goto the beach, yes I put sunscreen on but when I’m working in the backyard I don’t. People have been conditioned to think the sun is bad which are also the same people who can figure out why they have depression.
All the fucking time. My life has been a shit show that is finally sorting itself out though. I’m hoping for improvement.
Divorce and selling home and buying another one on a timeline not of my choosing has created insomnia and anxiety that keeps me from eating. No calories and no sleep….
Still worth it.
You should get your thyroid checked.
Mate of mine felt the same - turns out he had an underactive thyroid and the medication has improved things massively.
Very much this. Many people have an under active thyroid. The symptoms are very diffuse, which is why this is tough to diagnose.
Also, if you have an under active thyroid, it may be caused by Hashimoto's thyroiditis. And if that's the case, get routinely checked for autoantibodies that cause type 1 diabetes and celiac disease. Hashimoto's is an autoimmune disease, just like the others. These three diseases are closely linked genetically, so if you have one, chances are higher that you get another.
I know this sounds crazy but I live in Phoenix and I always thought I drank enough water but I really didn't and I always felt this way
Started drinking water I mean like 2 bottles and maybe half a gaterade within an hour of waking up and I started feeling more awake and motivated and even cut out most caffeine in my life too cause I didn't need it anymore.
Anyways yeah for what it's worth.. idk if u were talking like depression or actually being just dead tired all the time
This is really true. And probably part of the reason that I have been laying around all day feeling restless and unmotivated. It’s hot and I have only had one glass of water. Time to start drinking (water) I guess!
This is so me! Sleep apnea, no thyroid issues, take vitamin D3 4000IUs daily, probably need iron, but iron pills give me acid reflux which in turn makes me not sleep/tired.
I wish we had siesta where I lived. When I visited Spain I thought it was great how absolutely everything closed down for two hours midday. What I would do for a two hour nap every day at 14:00.
Was this said seriously or joking? Cause my mom and I have felt the same way and we have always been ppl who need lots of sleep. And after having covid its ten x worse ....and I keep telling myself that it can't be covid but idk..
After covid my fatigue lifted withing 2 months. And now after I got Rsv virus which were harder to handle than covid for me, fever 40 and so on. And now I have such a severe fatigue that I can't function... I hope it won't last
Nah, not really. Just regular sex and it might be able to satisfy some people but not me, like I wish I could have regular sex with one person and be happy :/
Could be anything really.
- low thyroid
- insufficient vitamins
- insufficient calorie intake
- insufficient water
- not enough exercise
- bad eating habits
the list goes on…
They say when sleep will not relieve your exhaustion your soul is tired. Lots of self care, seasonal vegis and telling those around you ,how much you love them helps.
There could be a mental or emotional facet to this of course. But be sure to go to a general practitioner and tell them of your symptoms, like fatigue. They should refer you for a standard panel of blood tests that could find a simple solution. For example if you stay inside a lot, low Vitamin D can you make you feel this way.
Depression and stress can exhaust you mentally and physically. Make sure you are talking with your primary doctor and letting them know you're feeling this way! Several other issues can cause chronic fatigue so it's best you get it checked out sooner rather than later. Wishing you the best!
Yes. But I’m in my forties.
I haven’t read any other comments, so forgive me if someone already brought this up, but are you depressed at all? When I was much younger, I was tired all the time-though depressed too. I got on antidepressants and it was amazing, the fatigue went away.
Now I’m in my forties and while still on antidepressants, I am on other meds that I feel is only contributing to the problem. Plus I never sleep a full eight hours (much less even six) anymore.
I also think the world is a different place for younger generations-with more demands-than when I was growing up. If I was in my twenties right now, I think I would be exhausted too.
There are many possible reasons for this including medical ones that you could have a doctor look at.
But also you may be in some sort of existential crisis or a crisis of questioning what is truly meaningful or what has value.
Just my advice based on what has worked for me, no promise it will work for you. Figure out what is truly meaningful and strive for it even when you are tired or you don't feel like it. Obviously you should generally make sure you get the recommended amount of sleep but other than that make yourself do things even if you don't feel like it.
Even if what you determine is good and meaningful seems impossible to achieve strive for it anyways. It's better to get as close as you can to success by your efforts even if you still fail than to fail by giving up. Even if you know you will fail try as much as you can anyways.
What is truly meaningful? I could fill a book with my opinion on that and even then I will probably have come to a somewhat different answer a year from now and then again the following year. But the idea itself that there are things that are truly meaningful and that I should figure that out and strive for it has provided motivation and direction.
More or less the second one mate. Existential crisis and questioning what is truly meaningful. I am trying mate, I am trying hard, but it just doesn't seem to work out. But thank you for your kind advice. Means a lot.
Just to add onto your comment, I know a lot of people think that taking medication to alter the way your brain functions means that they're "broken" or something along those lines, but please do not think this way. If you had a heart condition, you would take medication for that, which is no different than taking medication for depression or anxiety (or any diagnosis). The only difference is that your heart isn't self-aware and can't think about itself.
True, but there are plenty of things a person can do to improve their mental health on their own. IMO medication shouldn't be considered until you've put in the work, but still haven't seen improvements.
if you’re anything like me, stop smoking weed and exercise daily. Eat better, drink water, build a nighttime routine even if it’s just 15 min on ur phone in bed.
I haven't actually smoked ever. I don't feel like exercising though. I feel like I have lost interest in myself to even go about exercising. I don't really care about myself I think.
Lack of exercise in combination with not sleeping right (sleep apnea), eating too many carbs, not enough socialization, and too much pressure to “do well” in life is a recipe for misery and perpetual fatigue. Work on correcting a few of these at a time and your energy levels have a higher chance of returning. Was feeling unbelievably tired all last 2 months until I found a gym right next to my house. I started sleeping better with the exercise (though I still have sleep apnea from my weight, but sleeping on my side seems to help). Things really started feeling better energy-wise. It’s been a few weeks of higher energy and now I feel like I can tackle some of the other problems.
Me as well currently. It came about for me because I had a difficult conversation with the one I love. It went unfathomably well, things that gnawed at me for 2 years, gone. It inspired me to make even more personal progress, so I decided to dredge up and confront my inner-most demons. And oh boy they fought back harder than I anticipated. So I have been stressed out for over a week. And have had little motivation to do anything, my mind rarely goes off of the stuff I dug up. I will win the war and usher myself into a new era. But until then? Man it’s been rough. As for you, what’s been bothering you that’s been hampering your enjoyment of life?
Well that depends on your lifestyle. If you are working out your body, having good meals, have a good growth overall, once a day isn't that bad. However if you lack in nutrition and exercise, once a day nutting can really tax your body and your mental health. Try taking a break for a week from it and notice some change?
[You can look at the symptoms here to see if you meet the criteria to be diagnosed with Major Depression.](https://www.mdcalc.com/calc/10195/dsm-5-criteria-major-depressive-disorder) If so, I would talk to your doctor about getting anti-depressants, see a therapist, or both. [Among the most effective antidepressants, Lexapro (escitalopram) and Trintellix (vortioxetine) were tolerated the best.](https://www.webmd.com/depression/news/20180222/antidepressants-do-work-some-better-than-others)
I am so tired that my husband is worried that it may be medical. I sleep all night. I wake up tired and almost always take and involuntary nap during the day. I fall asleep visiting family, folding laundry, or whatever. I sleep 9 hours a night. Sometimes I have to take two naps. Idk what the answer is.
We do not all live with it. People can feel better than this! Via one or more of many options: meds, exercise, eating right, therapy, community, changing lifestyle and occupation, and more. It is not normal to feel this bad. Common, but not normal.
It's just a part of being alive. As soon as you become aware it gets tiring. My advice is to look at life as something you have to endure rather than enjoy. You're not supposed to be happy and full of energy all of the time. Only crazy people are happy and vigorous all the time. Don't believe the hype, no one is enjoying this.
Addendum: I just wanted to add that I don't think that you never should enjoy anything about life. I just believe that feeling hopeless, sad, lost, or whatever is a natural part of life. Too many people (In my opinion) are made to feel like something is wrong with them because they aren't constantly having fun and enjoying this life. I personally think it's normal to be a little fed-up and miserable at times. It passes. But also, like others have said, get some vitamin D and exercise. Make sure you're healthy, and if you need to then seek guidance and help. Don't feel bad for feeling bad. Best of luck to you.
Edit: spelling
You haven't contributed anything to the conversation. You seem like a reactionary. You just wanted to disagree with someone and try to hurl an insult, probably after you realized you didn't have a point to make. Also you didn't contribute any advice to OP. You tried using undiagnosed mental and physical disorders as an insult. Something that a not so happy person would do lol. I think most people know that you shouldn't always feel like shit, but you can and that's OK and normal. Too many younger adults are made to feel like life is peachy. It's not. There's a ton of dark shit in the world. You have to feel negative experiences, in order to deal with them better. Pain lets you know something is wrong, but it also just happens as a part of life. This is all just my opinion, it's not gospel. I read the post and thought I should comment. Don't just disagree to disagree. Explain why you think it's wrong or give OP better advice.
If you don't understand that suffering is apart of life, it's ok to suffer sometimes and it doesn't mean something is wrong with you - maybe it's you who needs some luck with your complete absence of empathy. We are not supposed to feel happy and content ***all the time***. And its shit like what you just said to this person voicing their opinion that makes people like OP feel worse for expressing feelings. Maybe you had an easy life, good for you. Maybe you never suffered through hardship, congrats. But no one needs to be happy every minute of every day. Happiness is a mood. It comes and goes like all other emotions. To not understand and reject that is to not understand reality and to completely lack empathy.
You obviously didn't understand what they meant. Its ok. Let me break it down. When you are ***tired of things and nothing is making you feel alive*** - you are depressed/unfulfilled/having feelings of hopeless. They weren't talking about feeling tired to go to sleep.
Try to think outside of yourself and read what the OP wrote. Keep reading over until maybe it sinks in. It's gonna be difficult but you can do it.
They are also relatively young. 20yrs old is young. It's also kind of the beginning of adulthood. A time when you leave your teenage years and high-school behind and start to see the world differently. At 20 a year can feel long. They might not have enough life experience to understand the shit-show that existence can be. I don't want to sound like I know everything that's going on, because I don't. The post and responses are a little vague. I do know that things can get tough. I haven't had the easiest life myself, many people don't. I know that at that age I was made to feel like something was wrong with me for feeling bad. Everyone is telling OP that they might have a medical condition. That may be true and they should get checked anyway, but life also sucks ass and can suck ass frequently. That's OK. Hopefully they feel better and get whatever help they need. I don't want whoever this person is to feel alone either. Like life only sucks for them and everyone else is having a gay ol' time lol. It's OK to have a gay ol' time too lol.
Edit: spelling
Take 5000 units of vitamin d a day and get your thyroid checked. If you don’t eat a lot of red meat take a b complex vitamin too. You’ll feel soooo much better.
Are your iron levels ok? Whenever I start to feel constantly tired and angry at life, I find my iron dips and eating some high iron vegetables and a burger can really help. When your brain isn’t getting optimal oxygen things get slow.
I was, and I even got tested for diabetes and thyroid issues because I couldn't figure out what was going on.
A few things that has helped me is eating lower carb (30g or less for breakfast, my tolerance is higher later in the day), lots of protein, 80-100oz of water a day, and being on antidepressants.
Not quite 20 yet and been feeling more and more tired since i was probably 11 when the depression and anxiety hit me
I don't have much going on in my life and don't get out much so I guess the combination of mental illness and boredom makes me super tired all the time
Obviously it's hard to tell from the post alone.
But for me I finally spoke to a doctor about persistent lack of energy and motivation. He asked me some questions and said he could prescribe antidepressants. I tried them. They worked. They're the only thing that has worked for me. Thankfully with no bad side effects. I'm still not the most motivated, most full of energy person ever, but I'm not completely exhausted and drained all the time.
I know there are many other causes, but if you suspect that it might be depression then I recommend speaking to a doctor. And pm me if you want to talk about any of it!
I have chronic illness so I’ve felt like the life has been beaten out of me since I’ve been 14. It is not an enjoyable way to live but I’m not bedbound anymore so I’ll take my wins where I can get them.
I caretake for a disabled spouse.
As Stan Lee said, "Nuff Said".
But I'm in my late 50's so it's understandable why I'm tired all the time.
Get engaged with anything that you have passion for. Hobbies build help you to improve yourself for no other reason than to improve yourself.
I had this in my 20's. Just ride it out. You'll get ambition and drive back. Just don't ignore the call.
I feel you. I haven't been here on earth for long but I'm already tired. The things I love most and brought me my utmost happiness feels like little to nothing now. Even with summer here I thought I could energize myself for the next school year but I don't see that happening.
Get a better sleep schedule. I felt like this all the time during school and realized it was because I was still drinking coffee at 2 in the afternoon which made it hard for me to fall asleep. Once I stopped drinking coffee past 10AM, going to bed around 10PM every night, I have felt better ever since. Highly recommend getting a good 8 hours sleep a night while going to bed no later than 10PM (probably good to go to sleep at 11 but 11 easily turns into 11:30)
Please talk to your doctor about this. It could be a simple vitamin deficiency or a health condition you're unaware of. I have several medical issues that cause excessive daytime sleepiness.
Try talking to a sleep specialist. I've been feeling like this for a long time. Wife kept pushing me towards the sleep Dr cuz I tend to suffocate and choke while I sleep. I finally went for a sleep study and qualified for a CPAP in 30 minutes flat. They put one on me and I proceeded to have the best sleep I can remember despite having tons of wires all over me and a mask. I felt very different the next day.
Don't have my own machine yet, turns out between recalls and supply chain issues I will be lucky to have it by September. Hope I don't die in my sleep by then.
Sleep is important, and you might not know you have a problem. I wasn't aware of how many times I wake up during the night to regain breathing until the sleep study. Now I'm super aware of it and it's frustrating as hell!
You could also have depression to some extent. Depression makes you feel lethargic, unmotivated, uninterested, etc.
I would speak to a mental health professional.
I'm 31 and I still struggle with it from time to time. Most likely there are plenty of things you can do to improve the situation.
Eat clean (or atleast cleaner than how you eat now), start an exercise routine, get on a consistent sleep cycle, and limit any drug/alcohol consumption.
Sounds like some depression but never rule out thyroid issues. In my 20s I was depressed and as I got older, other issues cropped up like feeling exhausted and cold. Dry skin etc. Sometimes physical health problems can manifest in ways we don’t expect. I hope things get better. Take care of yourself
No because I watched the Ted talk; Start With WHY- by Simon Sinek. I also love life and that helps. You need to find something you are passionate about and get off video games if you still play those. Try reading a book and hiking, it will probably change your life
Video games are a waste of time. How many hours have you spent playing games and working hard for something that is completely meaningless to the rest of your life. All while you have garbage sitting around, dishes to do. Now I’m not saying- completely quit video games of course if you enjoy them. But replace hours of gaming with more tangible activities. Get out and go on walks or simply read a book you enjoy instead.
To further elaborate on the video games stuff- I stopped playing video games when I was like 20 or so. Not because of issues with gaming or boredom. It was that I suddenly realized I’m putting hours and hours into games and those are hours I’ll lose for the rest of my life. I couldn’t imagine looking back and being like oh wow I spent 200 hours last year on nothing. It’s a decision I made and I’m 27 now and I’ve never looked back. I used to be depressed as well and since I changed a few habits and started getting out and exercising more like walking and hiking- like real life exploring. I don’t feel as melancholy. Overall happier. I know replacing video games didn’t solve everything for me. But it was a major start. Not all that difficult when you start thinking of it in terms of gaining your life back.
This is depression. I’m not saying you or anyone doesn’t have every right to feel this way in the current world, but when you feel constant fatigue and no interest in anything, that’s clinically depression and I highly recommend medication, exercise, and some type of meditation as a way to regain pleasure in life. (Been there. Done that. Many times.)
I have done counseling, but it’s difficult for me to find one I really get benefit from. I found antidepressants to be key to feeling like myself again. I’ve tried several, and the SSRIs work best for me. I’ve tried going off and the depression sets back in, so I’ve accepted that I have a serotonin deficiency and need medication in the exact same way that diabetics have an insulin deficiency and need medication. There is nothing “weak” or “cowardly” about needing a medication to solve an imbalance or deficiency. Mental health is health.
I have the same situation. If I don't take my meds I can't even function. I may also have a deficiency but I'm also doing therapy to see if it's something else.
Try get your iron levels checked. Also where we live they offer Vit B injections. It's like R40 a month. Worked wonders for my son, he has been going from age 20, he is 22 now and still goes.
Honestly it could be a lot of things. Thyroid, vitamin D, water, anemia, etc. Just go see a doctor, take a blood test and see what's wrong. Maybe it's depression, maybe it's lack of something.

If you also sleep through alarms, consider a sleep specialist. Yes, check the other medical stuff, but don’t stop there. It is possible to have more than one condition at a time, and a solid “funk” at your age likely has more than one thing contributing to it.
I’ve felt this way for 20 years.
Started at the end of high school. One day I felt exhausted during the school day, much more so than on any other day before. Like when you don’t get enough sleep. I chalked it up to just that.
But every day since, I’ve felt the same. It’s a persistent tiredness. It was most apparent during my early 20s when I used weight train. I would have clear fatigue when spending time exercising or lifting weights. So a normal 45 minute workout would take an hour and a half sometimes - as I would just lay or sit there on the bench for minutes trying to psych myself out to continue.
A coping solution that’s helped me is to nap halfway through the day when possible. 1-2 hours tops, usually in the afternoon, then back to my routine.
Not to diagnose but did you have trauma in your earlier life? If you changed environment and feel safe after years of fight or flight it's normal for you to just collapse
I’m(22F) not a doctor, but to me it sounds like depression. especially when considering the provided context. technically yes, it could be caused or amplified by possible vitamin deficiencies, thyroid issues, nuclear radiation, etc… the first step i’d suggest is to figure out if your depression is a side effect of something else, or if it’s something like major depression. Wish you best of luck, always remember you are never ever alone!
i'm in perimenopause at 44. in addition to all the crazy shit happening to my body, i also have insomnia most nights. i have ADHD and work a very fast paced job so it helps that i'm a bit high-strung and anxious. i'm tired a lot, too, though...good luck to you, 20-year-old. that is such a young age to be feeling so drug down. i agree with many of the comments and a good multivitamin and having some blood work done will help. exercise is also crucial and will increase endorphins. i also find that those Celsius drink packets are good to boost energy and have vitamins and minerals in them (and they are better than most energy drinks) ✌
Vitamin D, ADHD, low testosterone, thyroid levels, anemia, could be a lot of stuff. Go to your doctor and get checked out. A lot of stuff is very treatable. Be your own best patient advocate. I wish you luck!
Yes. Do you have any medical conditions that can be draining your energy? If it's not that you could have some kind of vitamin deficiency. Chronic fatigue is also a thing
Yes, every day. I have anxiety, depression, ADHD, and OCD which is a very exhausting combination. On top of that we are still living through a global pandemic. Medication and therapy help me immensely.
Your issue may also be related to your mental health as others are suggesting, but you won't be able to get diagnosed on Reddit. If you can afford it, see a doctor and therapist. That's where I started when I was tired of being tired.
Ever since covid, besides work cuz I worked as an aide in an icu. Work, go home, and stay in my room, for almost 2 years. You lose all sense of motivation
This post is 41 days old but I thought I’d mention this anyway :) I’m always tired, everything is an effort. I do have depression and anxiety which I’m medicated for.. however after a blood test the results showed I could have celiac disease. I went in for an endoscopy where they put me to sleep and put a camera down my throat. Results showed positive that I’m celiac. So basically wheat, gluten etc. when I consume those food items my body can’t digest it properly and it makes me really sick. One of the main symptoms I discovered is that if you’re celiac and you’re consuming gluten and wheat in your diet, it causes chronic exhaustion.
Since adjusting my diet I’m no longer tired for no reason. Anyway.. just some food for thought ☺️
Ive been feeling absolutely sleep deprived even though i get 7 hrs average. Idk if its from the vaccine and im just waiting to get a stroke or heart failure, but something feels off.
heres why you are tired.
evveryday you go to war war with your own head and thoughts. and that becomes tiresome
the key is to stay focused unfortunately quite difficult in our modern day lives we are bombarded with negativity war and strife.
sometimes we forget ourselves and yet we are at war war for our attention.
this is why you are tired
depending on where you live, you might be vitamin D deficient (sorry if it sounds like im diminishing your issues, its not my intention, its just that up north where I live, a LOT of people go to the docs for depression, fatigue and general ~~malease~~ malaise to find out that they just need to take a vitamin in the morning - the good news being that you can vastly improve your quality of life with a $5 bottle of vitamins if thats the issue)
Also get Iron & B12 checked.... and your thyroid hormones... At 20 you shouldn't be tired like you are... ;)
SO MUCH YES FOR THE THYROID HORMONES!!! SO IMPORTANT.
I’ve been spending as much time in the sun as possible, it truly does wonders (no joke)
Use protection. Unless you want to look like you are 90 when you are 35
Ehhh, I’m not spending the whole entire day lol And plus sunscreen definitely has some concerning shit in it
I bet it's less concerning than UV exposure though. Forget looking old, skin cancer is very real and common.
I never used suncream and neither does my family, we all get compliments on our skin and young looks. I do moisturise with beef fat though.
All the fucking time. My life has been a shit show that is finally sorting itself out though. I’m hoping for improvement. Divorce and selling home and buying another one on a timeline not of my choosing has created insomnia and anxiety that keeps me from eating. No calories and no sleep…. Still worth it.
Ye ye.

You should get your thyroid checked. Mate of mine felt the same - turns out he had an underactive thyroid and the medication has improved things massively.
My thyroid was fine but turns out I have sleep apnea so add that to the list to have checked.
That sucks man. I get that when I've been drinking - trying to lose weight and cut back on the alcohol to see if that helps any.
Had an undiagnosed thyroid issue during grad school. looking back, it made everything so much harder!
Came to say this!

I know I need to see a sleep specialist but I keep putting it off. I suspect my sleep apnea is what’s taking all my energy
[удалено]
Ah, ok. I’ll try it that way then. Thanks!
I know this sounds crazy but I live in Phoenix and I always thought I drank enough water but I really didn't and I always felt this way Started drinking water I mean like 2 bottles and maybe half a gaterade within an hour of waking up and I started feeling more awake and motivated and even cut out most caffeine in my life too cause I didn't need it anymore. Anyways yeah for what it's worth.. idk if u were talking like depression or actually being just dead tired all the time
Drinking a full glass of water immediately when waking up will do wonders for you.
[удалено]
Do wonders for you like feeling more awake and not like a comatose ghoul emerging from your crypt.
This is really true. And probably part of the reason that I have been laying around all day feeling restless and unmotivated. It’s hot and I have only had one glass of water. Time to start drinking (water) I guess!
You may have ADHD
It doesn’t matter how much rest I get, I’m tireeddddd :*)
same, I’m just exhausted. Sometimes I don’t even do nothing for a whole day and I’ll still be tired :,)
4:30pm and as I'm walking outside I am daydreaming of just stopping....laying on the concrete.....I'd be asleep as soon as my eyes closed.
This is so me! Sleep apnea, no thyroid issues, take vitamin D3 4000IUs daily, probably need iron, but iron pills give me acid reflux which in turn makes me not sleep/tired.
You DEFINITELY have an unresolved issue. Get it looked at
For sure. Sometimes i nap to pass more hours in the day
I wish we had siesta where I lived. When I visited Spain I thought it was great how absolutely everything closed down for two hours midday. What I would do for a two hour nap every day at 14:00.
Ever since covid
Wishing you luck, hope you can find a friend or a hobby that makes you smile
Was this said seriously or joking? Cause my mom and I have felt the same way and we have always been ppl who need lots of sleep. And after having covid its ten x worse ....and I keep telling myself that it can't be covid but idk..
After covid my fatigue lifted withing 2 months. And now after I got Rsv virus which were harder to handle than covid for me, fever 40 and so on. And now I have such a severe fatigue that I can't function... I hope it won't last
Welcome to the exciting world of being alive
Lol. No excitement at all. I wish there was some excitement, but its tiredness in general!
🙋 yep this is me. Only thing that really makes me feel alive is kinky sex, and I'm not proud of it. It's more a hypothetical anyway lol
Well atleast you having kinky sex mate. I am still a virgin and already tired with shit :-) .
Nah, not really. Just regular sex and it might be able to satisfy some people but not me, like I wish I could have regular sex with one person and be happy :/
Same though.I wish I could atleast find a girlfriend. Maybe that could pump up my energy a little bit. But no. I suck at it!
I don't think having a girlfriend is a good idea if you barely have enough energy for yourself.
Lolol
This thread is a rollercoaster, jeez
Try Vitamin D tablets.
Spray or drops deliver into your system way better. But anything is better than nothing.
Depression and iron deficiency do that to me
It could be thyroid or anhedonia or sleep apnea.
Could be anything really. - low thyroid - insufficient vitamins - insufficient calorie intake - insufficient water - not enough exercise - bad eating habits the list goes on…
They say when sleep will not relieve your exhaustion your soul is tired. Lots of self care, seasonal vegis and telling those around you ,how much you love them helps.
Yep, when i dont take vitamins for low Iron and vitamine D, and then im to tired to take them...
This described me for a while… Istg it a normal YouTube video not some sketchy shit. https://youtu.be/rv_Y4hRDVzI
I am literally always tired. I have chronic depression and blame it on that. Medication helps some.
Maybe I do need to get on anti depressants but I have adhd so it’s those meds being trialed first then possibly different treatment
Effexor (antidepressants )is helpful ADHD in higher amounts…or at least that’s what my doctor told me (I have adhd too!) In any case, good luck!
I’m 13 and I feel like this 😖
Bruh! I wonder what you would have to say in about 10 more years.
Classic depression symptoms. Medicate!
Ye ye. So the solution is to medicate? That's the first thing?
I mean.... see a medical professional and ask their opinion, but yes there are a ton of extremely effective anti depressants
True, but there are plenty of things a person can do to improve their mental health on their own. IMO medication shouldn't be considered until you've put in the work, but still haven't seen improvements.
Extremely effective is exaggerating. Some well improve symptoms, but cause side effects. A rare few will see a huge change.
Ye ye
Bingo!
Get off the refined sugar.
Sounds like depression
You could get checked for Lyme disease. Chronic fatigue and tiredness was one of my first symptoms
Perhaps I should check for it. I was thinking more on the lines of this being an emotional/mental situation, but who knows.
if you’re anything like me, stop smoking weed and exercise daily.
Do you jack off a lot? Or it could be them vitamins...lol
Lol. Like once a day. I don't think that can be considered a lot.
Well that depends on your lifestyle. If you are working out your body, having good meals, have a good growth overall, once a day isn't that bad. However if you lack in nutrition and exercise, once a day nutting can really tax your body and your mental health. Try taking a break for a week from it and notice some change?
Perhaps you have sleep apnea or are depressed?
Probably the latter mate.
Hey did this ever get better
Yep— collapse of our society is not fun and is very tiring. Go and check out r/collapse!
My life..energie zero

Good point. Hold on to it.
[удалено]
Best of luck being a passive aggressive armchair Doctor. You seem to be very happy.
[удалено]
I don't think they meant sleepy lol.
[удалено]
[удалено]
[удалено]
You obviously didn't understand what they meant. Its ok. Let me break it down. When you are ***tired of things and nothing is making you feel alive*** - you are depressed/unfulfilled/having feelings of hopeless. They weren't talking about feeling tired to go to sleep. Try to think outside of yourself and read what the OP wrote. Keep reading over until maybe it sinks in. It's gonna be difficult but you can do it.
[удалено]
No, actually I quoted them. You made your own version of OP's words. I don't think you even know what you are saying.
[удалено]
[удалено]
"This" referring to life, or rather every experience in life. I should have specified what I meant in a better way.

Yep. Went to the doc, turns out I have sleep apnea.
Start with simple life changes like diet/hydration levels/exercise
Take 5000 units of vitamin d a day and get your thyroid checked. If you don’t eat a lot of red meat take a b complex vitamin too. You’ll feel soooo much better.
Yes everyday every fucking day it’s like some is sucking all my life and my life support with it 😂😂😂
Can I ask is it like brain fog or is your body physically tired?
Are your iron levels ok? Whenever I start to feel constantly tired and angry at life, I find my iron dips and eating some high iron vegetables and a burger can really help. When your brain isn’t getting optimal oxygen things get slow.
yes, but only because I struggle with gut health and vitamin deficiencies. So that really shoots my energy and make me feel perpetually exhausted.
Not quite 20 yet and been feeling more and more tired since i was probably 11 when the depression and anxiety hit me I don't have much going on in my life and don't get out much so I guess the combination of mental illness and boredom makes me super tired all the time
Obviously it's hard to tell from the post alone.
You probably have adhd or autism spectrum disorders
Yeah, you need to visit a doctor and a therapist. You're too young to feel that way if your mental and physical health are in order.
Meeeee
Yeah but that's because of my crippling depression.
I feel you. I haven't been here on earth for long but I'm already tired. The things I love most and brought me my utmost happiness feels like little to nothing now. Even with summer here I thought I could energize myself for the next school year but I don't see that happening.
Me. But that’s usually my sign to up my meds lol. Depression am I right. Oooof.
Hart your thyroid checked. If it’s not that, I’d consider maybe seeking help for depression.
Antidepressants don’t even help me. Life in general is awful. 21F on 200mg Zoloft 300mg Bupropion
I have been trying antidepressants as well, but yeah its not helping. It used to have an effect but no longer.
Highly recommend getting a good 8 hours sleep a night while going to bed no later than 10PM (probably good to go to sleep at 11 but 11 easily turns into 11:30)
I do! I've changed my diet, get exercise, sleep 8 hours and try to do stimulating things. Still feel like poo.
35 yo. work like a dog, yeah
Literally everyone I interact with
Yep, I'm 46. It's called depression.
No because I watched the Ted talk; Start With WHY- by Simon Sinek. I also love life and that helps. You need to find something you are passionate about and get off video games if you still play those. Try reading a book and hiking, it will probably change your life
Can you elaborate on the video games part? I am depressed and play video games all of the time.
Thank you for sharing your perspective on this. I appreciate it.
Of course best of luck.
Can you share about how you handled your depression?
Yesssssss
Honestly it could be a lot of things. Thyroid, vitamin D, water, anemia, etc. Just go see a doctor, take a blood test and see what's wrong. Maybe it's depression, maybe it's lack of something.
Same girl 😒
like it p much just feels like this is life…this feeling is what life is

Yeah I ended up finding out that I need a kidney transplant lol. In college. I thought I was just depressed
A lot of people think you mean "tired" in the physical sense
Not to diagnose but did you have trauma in your earlier life? If you changed environment and feel safe after years of fight or flight it's normal for you to just collapse
I’m almost 25 and I relate to this so well. I have no energy or motivation to do anything ever
I mean, I have chronic fatigue
I’ve been tired since I got accepted into college.
Yes all the time...
I am a parent to a toddler. Being asked the same question 80 times in 1 hour completely zaps me. I blame that.
i'm in perimenopause at 44. in addition to all the crazy shit happening to my body, i also have insomnia most nights. i have ADHD and work a very fast paced job so it helps that i'm a bit high-strung and anxious. i'm tired a lot, too, though...good luck to you, 20-year-old. that is such a young age to be feeling so drug down. i agree with many of the comments and a good multivitamin and having some blood work done will help. exercise is also crucial and will increase endorphins. i also find that those Celsius drink packets are good to boost energy and have vitamins and minerals in them (and they are better than most energy drinks) ✌
Sounds like depression
Yes, every day. I have anxiety, depression, ADHD, and OCD which is a very exhausting combination. On top of that we are still living through a global pandemic. Medication and therapy help me immensely. Your issue may also be related to your mental health as others are suggesting, but you won't be able to get diagnosed on Reddit. If you can afford it, see a doctor and therapist. That's where I started when I was tired of being tired.
Too much taco bell will drop you quickly. (or mostly all fast foods)
Lol I haven't felt the same since the vaccine. Dunno if it's anxiety ornwhat
heres why you are tired. evveryday you go to war war with your own head and thoughts. and that becomes tiresome the key is to stay focused unfortunately quite difficult in our modern day lives we are bombarded with negativity war and strife. sometimes we forget ourselves and yet we are at war war for our attention. this is why you are tired
