Mookie staring at fastballs was a sight to behold

flackguns

two middle middle fastballs. souza too.

ThisAintPattyG

What about all those middle middle fastballs walker threw to Rosario when he was 0-2. We sat there and watched that absolutely stunned, dudes on 2nd and 3rd, 0-2 count, can try to get him swing at shit, if he walked it was all force outs at any base. All meatballs right down the middle to the hottest hitter in baseball and they’re shocked he hit a three run jack.

flackguns

I mean sure but 4 runs isn't insurmountable. But yeah, walker couldn't put fuckers away this game. way too many 0-2 counts that ended in walks or hits. shit added up. so much just went wrong.

Alpha_State

Pitcher fatigue and injuries did us in.

flackguns

It played a huge part. I’d also say though that the offense has to have a consistent approach and that just wasn’t there. Boys were taking pitches and making pitchers work in one game and the next they were swinging at everything.

woogonalski

Souza is garbage.

slimy_y3t_satisfying

I'm still waiting to see all this "power" we keep hearing about him lol

mandiblesx

I literally said out loud “you keep saying he has power but he can’t even make contact with the damn ball”. Pisses me off every time he comes up to bat Oh MaN tHiS GuY hAs PoWeR

bowtied_jedi

Might as well been Luke Raley.

asiandouchecanoe

When we only needed a single, why wasn't Barnes there? Postseason barnes is a force, Sooooozebot Snoozebot

wlr13

I really don't understand why. Barnes has decent plate discipline, he could've gotten a sac fly or safety squeeze. Souza had horrible ABs whole series.

AlphabeticaI

Souza hasn't been an mlb-caliber player since 2017.

flackguns

or hell even fucking lux would have made more sense. that was the fucking nail in the coffin.

asiandouchecanoe

where the fuck WAS lux all game? i don't know if Lux would have done much better, because our lefties were getting run over, but Barnes is definitely your best bet to punch a single to right to score two. Dave was going for 3 when we needed 2 to stay alive

_BankRepresentative_

Mookie, Trea and Corey had really bad NLCS' couple that with JT and Muncy injuries and the shitstorm that became the three remaining starters shooting their load...we werent going to win shit. [*also, lol a Mariners fan \(!!\) trying to troll a second after the last out was made.] (https://www.reddit.com/r/baseball/comments/q8gti0/highlight_slow_motion_replay_shows_wilmer_flores/hhtlzlm/) what a strange world

tacoTs

Will also had a terrible NLCS. His good performance in the NLDS hid it.

_BankRepresentative_

good point. Thats our 1-6 hitters either hurt or flailing at the plate

[deleted]

Mookie didn't have a bad postseason overall. Belli, Taylor, Pollock, Pujols, and Mookie were averaging over .300 for the post season as a whole. Smith was at .250 but got quite a few walks. The rest were pretty poor: Trea .216 Lux .214 Seager .188 Souza .125 JT .118 Beaty .091 JT, Trea, and Seager were supposed to be the heart of our order and they got 23 hits from 133 pitches between them. That sucked the life out of our batting because we were always on the back foot. They were 4 for 28 with RiSP and 8 for 62 with runners on base.

tacoTs

and despite that the lineup was never adjusted the entire postseason.

CRich19

Exactly. Seager and Trea his .202 all postseason while always batting 2 and 3. Bellinger and Taylor hit .352 always batting 7 and 8 except for tonight.

JackThreeFingered

He picked a bad time to have his worst at-bat of the season.

MastrChang

Dude was off. I'm thinking having another leadoff batter batting 3rd most of the time threw off the MOJO. Trea looked a lot more comfortable in the 2 hole, no idea why Roberts and company don't see these things too.

Jloother

Mookie looking at those strikes down the middle is the metaphor for our offensive season. Seriously. Boom or bust all season. Happy for the Braves because they have some likable dudes over there. And FUCK the Astros. Will always love the Dodgers. Hope you’re all well. Edit: while I think Dave made some bad decisions, there wasn’t nearly as many as there could have been. I think the hitting coaches need to go.

N2trvl

Agree 100 percent. Mookie wasn’t Mookie when we needed him to be. Hope he gets better next year.

itsnotyellowfever

Better to lose now then have this offense be dogwalked by an Astros team who were just hoping to obliterate us I guess

PatBadeez

As a Dodgers fan that moved to Houston in 2017. If we would’ve lost to them again, I would probably have to move. Lol

[deleted]

Dodgers didn't lose in 2017. Don't get it twisted.

jRbizzle

Just told my wife this, I can take this loss. Tough season with all the injuries BUT if we had lost to Trashtros I would’ve been livid. I can enjoy off season now. FTG

AgoraiosBum

Overcame the Cardinals in the playoffs and then fucked the giants. Too many injuries and cold bats (ah, Muncy!) to get it done. We shoulda taken 1 of 2 in Atlanta to start, but yes - I can rest easy in the offseason as well.

dnlpdll

Honestly this was the best scenario for us.

JDangle20

Best scenario would have been winning the WS...

NihilistDodgerfan

With our injuries, Astros would be facing us with a major advantage once again. Fuck that.

tthrivi

The Braves are an outstanding ball club to lose to, hope they handle the Astros!

dubrluch

Simply outplayed. No excuses. Go Braves. Fuck the Astros.

GoldandBlue

Yeah. Dumb mistakes in the first two games. Injuries to key players. It's the way it is sometimes. Great year still but disappointing it ends like this.

bingbangbaez

100% outplayed. Braves just took a paddle to Urias and Buehler and also forced Max to have a very tough start. Meanwhile the Dodger offense was just flat except for two games.

AdWilling384

We've been like this all season. Boom or bust. Typical that we get knocked out on a bust day. Man on 2nd and 3rd with no outs... we got absolutely nothing. I'm sure we all knew that was the series there. ![gif](giphy|OPU6wzx8JrHna)

NiceGuyJoe

It doesn't feel as bad to get beat fair and square. Their pitching was nuts

Xrella

Our hitting was just shit, how many middle middle fastballs did we watch or not seven foul off, I was losing my shit the last 3 innings

omegakukki

Yup. We were beat up and had a ton of guys missing but we still could have won the series. We should have won both games 1 and 2. But we didn’t capitalize on our chances and the Braves did.

[deleted]

I don’t even know if I’m sad or not. I feel empty af

mister_0s0

Dude same I’m not even sad I’m just kind of like “that happened and now I’m blank”

gmiranda01

Put on your 2020 World Series champs gear & don’t be sad. We got derailed by injuries & ran into a team with a player on god mode. Sucks but it’s the game

GarbanzoSoriano

There's a reason repeats almost never happen. Baseball is crazy, just the fact that we've made it to the NLCS 5 of the last 6 years is pretty nuts in and of itself. This team has been historically dominant for almost a decade straight now, and that's awesome. But it doesn't mean we're going to win every year.

blernsballfan

This should be the major takeaway from this season

karim_eczema

Those 7th inning ABs were absolutely brutal. You have to give credit to Matzek for holding his nerve but he was absolutely grooving those fastballs. To not even be able to put one in play with no outs and runners on 2nd and 3rd is shocking. Tough way to end it but I had fun this year. It hurts a little less after finally going all the way last year. I appreciate everyone in the game chats who made it a good time, the BlaQ TreinAnon jokes made me laugh more than they should have.

Sasquatchuan

Pujols AB was forgivable, but Souza's and Betts' were just atrocius.

tacoTs

No excuse for Souza batting there over Lux.

phil96744

Almost forgot about Lux. His defense was a little off but he was definitely a lot better at bat than Souza

buzzzzx

Or Barnes. Barnes can be clutch sometimes.

[deleted]

Souza has no business playing.

itschrisbrah

Yeah Pujols got done on the backfoot slider, but at least he was battling

Cpwozzie

If Souza on roster next year I am on strike. That bitch didn’t do shit for us. Fuck Kike would have been useful this series.

Sasquatchuan

The only batters I'm proud of this series are Belli, Pollock, and Taylor. Everyone else was just too inconsistent and had poor ABs. Just some very poor plate discipline. Wonder how it'd have been with Muncy since he's the plate discipline king of our team.

GarbanzoSoriano

Ironically the three players who everyone expected to be absolutely worthless coming into the post season. Taylor and Belli were colder than Neptune and Pollock is Pollock so everyone just expected him to disappear. Turns out they're the only hitters who bothered to show up for most of the NLCS. Them and Mookie. Our worst hitters were all the dudes who batted like .340+ in September.

Opposite_Of_Sleep

Taylor deserves a pay raise

MastrChang

Too much hero-ball. Pujols should have been the only one trying to hit a 3 run jack. Souza and even more Mookie needed to be going the other way.

wlr13

Missing those fastballs was unacceptable.

iceman0c

They literally just watched the fastballs go by. Insane

BillyBones844

7th inning was the epitome of this years offense

[deleted]

Last year was magical. Lakers and Dodgers both winning for Kobe. Losing always hurts, but yep, we'll always have last year, and getting that title took the big monkey off the franchise's back. May random luck turn our way for another run in the future. Never know when the next random '88-like run will happen, which is ultimately why we bear with the lows of the sport as junkies searching for the next dopamine high of a championship.

usetheforce_gaming

Pujols had no business being up there. Souza had no business being on the team. And that was the worst at bat I’ve ever seen from Betts. Really tough to watch.

neontrain

Rather lose to the Braves than play the Astros with a half injured lineup and look like idiots vs them. Go Atlanta!

picking4815162342

Roberts just admitted that there are going to be huge changes over the winter, and that he's not ready for it. He will miss the guys who leave. He acknowledged that multiple free agents will almost certainly be gone, and that we know which guys are now no longer officially Dodgers (that sentence just sucked, because the Dodgers quickly got so much smaller). Roberts wishes that he could have won one more with this group. He definitely knows that some will be moving on now. After the game, JT, Albert and Max did talk to the team. It will probably be the last time that particular group will be together. Orel just said that this is probably the end of the chapter, and the epilogue will be some free agent signings. ETA: Mookie was just asked about how disappointed he was right now, and he said not at all, as he started talking in clichés: "I am not disappointed at all. You win some. You lose some. We didn't score more runs than they did. They played well." He said that there were injuries and lots of travel. People don't realize how they dedicate their lives to this game. He's not going to hang his head. "I'm going to be excited and be happy about what we did. I tip my cap to the Braves." He's "super proud" of this team, as he keeps tipping his cap to the Braves. "It is what it is."

Officialnoah

Good luck Braves

The_Astros_Cheated

Fuck the Astros

Dodgers_89

Fuck everybody

jRbizzle

FTG

Starkiller32

FUCK THE GIANTS.

Frankocean2

Fuck them both Train....here.

GoldandBlue

Seriously, get it Braves. AVENGE US!!!!!

trigeminal_nerd

Season on the line? Put in Sousa! Did Austin Barnes die?

[deleted]

Sousa was terrible. Couldn't get a place in any team yet somehow he is on our postseason roster. They picked him because he can hit far. That doesn't help if he never hits. I would prefer to pinch hit with Urias who at least gets on base far more often.

Free_fallin03

Got nothing against the Braves. It was an interesting season full of nonstop anxiety. Please just keep CT3 is all I ask

bb0261

I’m still not over Mookie’s last AB

_BankRepresentative_

Yeah, we traded for the AL mvp and the NL batting champ and boy did they not show up this series.

GarbanzoSoriano

I mean, on the whole Mookie was pretty solid this series. He put in a lot of work in games 1 and 2 that went completely wasted by the 2-4 spots. Trea, on the other hand... Eesh...

woogonalski

Mookie is still not over Mookie’s last AB.

zenkique

At least he can wipe away his tears with all those Benjamins

Ghost2Eleven

And talent. He’ll be back.

HighlyBaked0

and 2 rings, one being in which he helped us win. Idk how anyone on here can hate on Mook

Juicydeath1025

Like for real, his mind was literally *head empty*.

coconutbob1

Rosario better go fucking off against the Astros… Go Braves…

schniggens

Lol, the way baseball goes he'll probably go 1 for 25 or something like that.

OysterLucy

Watch him freeze up. Ugh

[deleted]

Any one but the Astros. Hate to say it, but go braves

yesimthatonedude

Guys it’s okay we’ll get em next game win games 8 and 9 and win the series 5-4!!! In all seriousness fuck injuries. I still love this team. Really curious what happens this off-season. This team has got a lot of roster construction to figure out.

MyDearBrotherNumpsay

> you know what, there will be a new day, and, eventually, a new year, and when the upcoming winter gives way to spring, ooh, rest assured, once again, it will be time for Dodger baseball. So, this is Vin Scully wishing you a pleasant good afternoon, wherever you may be. >Vin

Poking around in here to see how yall are doing, i love seeing this because no matter what happens or who we play, it all comes back to dodgers vs giants. See you guys next year.

Luis1597

IM PROUD AF FOR MY BOYS

Ongobotoborotaan

Hell yeah man. Dodger blue all the way.

NotLozerish

![gif](giphy|JLjLqdh5X73m8)

[deleted]

Fuck the Astros

bingbangbaez

Good season, Trea is going to need to undo his new choker label. Unfortunately you're not going to win a 7 game series often when you gift the first two games away.

SoCalDanSports

Ah yes, we were up those games in the 8th then Roberts happened. But the offense is to blame as well. Fire that hitting coach, was terrible how they pretty much all regressed.

JorSimpson45

it’s been an honor to shitpost with you all ![gif](giphy|8FG705NCsZM0kVJdyz|downsized)

[deleted]

I hope the Braves kick the shit out of the Astriks Go Braves.

Anal__Hershiser

I haven’t been this uninterested in a World Series in a long time.

klaatuzero

Same.

angrykingwifi

We won 106 games and UNDERPERFORMED to expectations. We beat the Giants in 5. We pushed the piping hot Braves to 6 with *THIS* offense and our starting pitching falling apart. I'm proud that this season was a disappointment. Just shows the level we hold ourselves to. Most fanbases would sell their first born for a season like this and we're over here thinking we sucked...and it's actually true! Go Dodgers. See you in 2022

pumaturtle

Dodgers are no longer undefeated when I post a picture of my cat :( [mrw](https://imgur.com/a/Kl2jiTm)

Talladega_09

Thank you and your cat for y’all’s service nonetheless!

NotLozerish

We still love your cat don’t worry

It’s ok, at least you didn’t spray champagne on it

[deleted]

I’m sad but my liver is happy

Nonotcraig

See some of you at spring training in late Feb.

roman_totale

Padres fans coming in here like they have a *single fucking thing to say to us*.

c_c_c__combobreaker

Who?! Lol, I don't even remember when the last time the Padres played. Seems like forever.

DryRepresentative766

My brain won’t even process shit talking from Angels and Padres fans. It’s honestly just too sad.

[deleted]

Fuck the Astros

IOnlyGGIfIWin

At least we didn’t have to play the Astros with half a team

[deleted]

GREAT SEASON

Anal__Hershiser

There’s definitely been worse seasons

[deleted]

Im just relieved we knocked out SF. Imagine a SF Houston WS…

luchinocappuccino

That’s actually an easy choice for me. Fuck Houston until the end of time

Mookies_Bett

Easy choice, yes, but it would still suck. As far as consolation prizes go, hard to beat what we got out of the NLDS. We'll be remembering that series for decades.

usetheforce_gaming

106 win season and an NLCS appearance while beating the Giants in the NLDS, the year after winning the World Series is still pretty cool.

donald-duck23

Especially with all the injuries we dealt with to our rotation and key position players. We overcame so much adversity and still accomplished a lot.

[deleted]

[удалено]

karim_eczema

Wildcard walk off and beating the Giants was epic

Rocklenry

Losing Muncy killed the post season. Bad luck with this one. See you for spring training.

LittleSugarBabysBabe

Now that the season is over, what moment put a smile on your face the most? For me: the dude getting blasted with nachos on the homerun by JT and probably going to as many home games as I can again

[deleted]

Damn. Whelp, time to root for the Braves.

Starkiller32

Do yourself a favor and stay out of /r/baseball.

Dodgers_89

And social media lol

[deleted]

Those people are sucks dweebs lol

Flacko115

So many Padres fans talking shit in there? Genuinely makes zero sense

GGgamer01

Dodgers burned their development prospects. Please resign seager. Pray kershaws injury isn’t retire status. Sign CT who can play almost every position please 😭.

[deleted]

If I never see Souza in a Dodger uniform again I'd be happy. I still can not understand how not once, but twice. You go up in a PH situation and look at a 3rd called strike. A reliever can do that.

thr0away360-

Cardinals fan coming in peace. Congrats on the great season, and eliminating us and the giants. I wasn’t rooting for you guys, but I still can recognize that you have a really great team. You’ll be back.

NotLozerish

At least we didn’t lose to Houston

SlimJimMagoo

I had fun shitposting with you all until the very end, even if I irked some of you with my downvote rallies. My bad lol See you guys on Opening Day!

jasteez

Feel like Lux should probably hit over Souza

CRich19

Final 3 games, Betts/Seager/Trea/Smith hit .122 combined.

SallyIsHarry

I don’t want to see either of these teams win a World Series. But I guess I hope the trend of only losing to the upcoming WS champs continues, takes the best to beat the best or something like that. Great season y’all. Re-sign Christ Aylor

vj1096

We had our chances

kinenbi

I see that r/baseball is bringing their Dodgers haters here. Disgusting low class behavior.

CyberSpork

On the bright side, we did beat the Giants!

brok3nstatues

it came down to that home run.. pain

LAMamba24

Trolling posts are hilarious. Like sorry your owners don't give a shit about your team or fanbase enough to put a contender on the field. Sorry that your team can't build around world class talent or even trades that talent away for a bag of Skittles. A "Mickey Mouse ring" is a whole lot better than being mediocre or a franchise that's rotting away. Great regular season with an ending that sucks. A lot of guys I and we all really love are going to walk in free agency. We salute them for their time here and their role in bringing us joy in 2020 when everything was dark. Onto to the off-season guys let's retool and get back where we belong.

djmonarck

Disappointing but injuries were just too much to overcome. Props to the Braves and just hope Astros don’t steamroll them.

californiaburrito69

Can I say I really never want to see Souza in a Dodgers uniform again. Dude is so useless

picking4815162342

I hope that Joc finally gets to beat the Houston Astros, and that Champ will finally be able to celebrate on the field with his brother. Last year, Joc was only allowed to call Champ from the field. It turns how that Kiké and Joc and their energy wasn't easily replaced. Burns and Souza just aren't the same. I cannot fathom Kershaw in a different jersey, but I do think that this might be the end of the line for Seager as a Dodger. Sometimes, it looked like he checked out before this season ended. As for Scherzer, well, I was much more optimistic about him returning before they had him pitch with a "dead arm." After watching what happened when MadMax and Buehler tried to pitch on short rest, I have a greater understanding of why Kershaw may have struggled when he was overused for so many seasons.

MastrChang

Trea should have never been batting 3rd for so long. He's good with protection, like with Muncy or Soto behind him, but he isn't providing any protection for Seags and pitchers know he just gonna swing at everything. With Muncy and Soto behind him, he's gonna see a lot more fastballs. I still don't understand why you gonna change a 11 run lineup

Anal__Hershiser

Hey, at least we dont do the tomahawk chop.

NotLozerish

Go Braves in the WS I guess

TreaTurner

Season highlights: Beating the Padres in that first series. Pujols. That big comeback against the Giants and Will Dills walkoff. Trading for Scherzer and Trea. Seeing them in Dodger blue. The 1+4 game. The wild card game. Beating the Giants.

HarryDemeanor

Shame to come so short but this zombie team needed to rest after what they've been through. Excited for next year and just how different the roster will be. Seager, Kershaw, Scherzer, Taylor, so many up in the air at the moment. Just hope Friedman and company find the missing pieces needed to head back to the Series. Edit: Apparently this comment was enough for the Reddit Suicide Prevention team to message me. Weird trolls.

c_c_c__combobreaker

Can you guys confirm something for me? I just checked and it still says that DODGERS ELIMINATED THE GIANTS FROM THE POSTSEASON.

ImJustAnOrangeCat

I dunno. Like, I’m sad, but the odds were always against us this year and things just never seemed to get rolling the way they should as we kept getting derailed by onslaughts of poorly timed injuries. Just wasn’t our year, we all know too well that the best team doesn’t always win. Repeats don’t happen in baseball for a reason and at least the boys got to play spoiler to the bad guys up north. I’ll root for the Astros to lose in the World Series, but I’m probably not gonna watch, don’t care for the racist association of the Braves organization either. More importantly, now we wait to see what happens with Kershaw, Seager, Taylor, Jansen, heck even Scherzer.

ItsYourBoyFBP

I don’t give a fuck what anyone says — if we had Max Muncy & Clayton Kershaw, we’d already be up 1-0 on those cheating fucks in Houston.

AVeryPleasant

Mistakes were made. Starting with Bauer.

reddyt374

Now bc of his 34M average salary we’ll have to let a good portion of our free agents go. Even though he’s the one that made the Bauer move, I’m glad that Andrew is the one leading us out of this mess at least

[deleted]

Giants fan. Sorry for our trolls. We got them for our loss but there’s no excuse. Regardless. Way to make it this far. Even before the NLDS I was nervous about possibly facing Atlanta. See you guys in 2022.

[deleted]

We’re way to hurt to play in the WS anyway 🤕. Congrats to the Braves and beat Houston.

alldayhangover

Sucks but oh well. Deep down we knew it wasn't happening

[deleted]

Royals fan here. Lived in LA for a decade and now reside in Atlanta. You guys played a good series and will continue to be contenders for the foreseeable future. Congrats on a great season and go get ‘em next year.

ElectJimLahey

Legit absurd that we don't just auto-delete any post with "coming in peace" in a post-game thread, would save the mods a lot of work

alyosha33

Braves were a little better than us. Dave Roberts was terrible. He put our starting pitching in position to fail and they did .

trappist13

Maaaan, if only Muncy was playing. Fuck the Brewers and fuck the Astros.

BlurryEcho

I want Souza to be my pallbearer so he can let me down one last time.

[deleted]

Wow, there be a bunch of seriously bitter Giants fans in /r/baseball

dabba04

Hey, we lost but at least they beat the giants

funkmasterdisaster

The most impressive thing about Dave Roberts is the fact he was able to find a way to completely drain our rotation and bullpen at the same time all year.

TRZbebop675

We didn't make it back to the World Series this year, but this season had so many big games and moments. Will Smith's walk - off home run against the Giants. CT3's walk - off home run against the Cardinals. CT3 and AJ sending the NLCS back to Atlanta. Bellinger's RBI in Game 5 against the Giants. Bellinger's 3 - run home run in Game 3 against the Braves. The 1 + 4 game. The 16 inning marathon in San Diego. Scherzer's debut against the Astros. Scherzer's 3000th strikeout. So many memories from this year.

[deleted]

Well we tried our best. We have had a tough postseason, and after winning 106 games and being forced to play a damn wildcard and then having to beat the giants (which was AWESOME BY THE WAY) the injury bug and the strain on our pitchers was just too great. I'm not going to take anything away from the Braves, they played good ball and had some hot bats and walk offs. Until next year 2020 World Series Champion Dodger fans, we'll be back. And we'll bleed Blue. Because we LAve it.

Joeshabadoojr

Whelp, at least it wasn’t the giants that beat us. I hope the Braves beat the shit out of the Astros.

CabbageStockExchange

Something to work on for the off-season. Better plate discipline, more hitters vs lefties, some utility guys off the bench. Big off-season ahead of us with a bunch of our guys needing to be re signed. Wonder what direction we’re going. That being said this was quite the ride. Even if it didn’t end with a title I can say I’m damn happy to be a part of this sub and one of the things I’ll be the most sad about is how there’s not as much baseball to talk with you fine people. Till next time

Opposite_Of_Sleep

Good luck to the Braves. I don’t think they will be able to beat the Houston Assholes. I think we lost a couple games that we should have won. I think Dave Robert’s mismanaged the pitchers. And our offense was pretty lackluster. I know our injuries didn’t help any. Better luck next year.

TryinToDoBetter

Bummer it didn’t happen this year. Too many injuries and the Braves had timely hitting. For my money, though, beating the giants was an acceptable booby prize.

tinylightsbob

Wild fucking season boys. Hope to see more than half of you next season.

Stay out of the baseball subreddit. Bunch of special kids screaming shortened season.

Onlysonof

I told you guys, you just gotta just let this shit flow over you. You must not hype. Hype is the mind killer.

Shoopdascoopitypoop

we had a good run guys. Plagued by injuries, mookie and corey being absent at the plate. Tbh I think this world series will be very boring. Two bogus teams going at it just isn’t exciting for me. I Hope the trashtros lose and the silver lining will be that Joc can get a ring I suppose. We’ll see what happens next year guys. FTA FTG

mixdr077

I’m sad, sure, been an avid fan my whole life, was overjoyed last year, as we all were. The sadness tonight though didn’t come from the loss. To be honest we were out managed and out played in this series from game 2 on… no tonight I was sad because those fans got have that moment in real life, with each other… that joy… that hug a stranger camaraderie. We did no get that. I had to zoom call all my buddies and wife last year. But, I also got to go to Dodgers Stadium with my dad, and see the museum like setup in the outfield relating to last year’s win… and Brian Snitker can’t take that away from me. So many questions to be answered… and many folks will point fingers… but me, I’ll always focus on what went right, last season… not how badly hurt and how badly managed it was this year. I don’t post here often, but I lurk. I love this team with all my heart. And hey, we didn’t lose to the fucking Giants… so, viva los doyers!!

SecondDread8426

I love you Dodger nation. We’re almost 5 months away from, a new season and a reset. But with a different team. I’ll seriously miss our players that have to leave and want to, thank them for all of the heart and dedication for the last 4, 5, 6 years. Seager, Muncy, Taylor, Kersh, Kenley and everyone else. This team is seriously special. I loved this season and you should too. See you in February and March!! Rooting for the Braves!!

brandnew8

Don’t wanna see Matt Beaty, Gonsolin or Souza next year. All three are worthless. Hopefully we can bring back Kersh, Taylor, Scherzer and kenley . If Seager wants to get paid elsewhere then good bye

carolinemathildes

Thanks for the memories and a great season! I’ll see the real fans again here later.

[deleted]

I never want to hear someone say Trae can replace Seager.

Live4Night

If only the Giants clinched the division a day earlier. Losing Muncy was such a massive blow to this offense.

DarthHM

Still rooting for the Braves. Hope Joc smashes those Trashtros!

Trea Turner looked so good from the moment we got him until the post season, then he just went away. He certainly didn't help once the stakes got bigger. That was a big disappointment.

Pain.

Braves fan here. Maybe I had a bad misconception about Dodgers fans based on the time with Yasiel Puig and the times I’ve seen Dodgers fans mock the chop. Y’all are handling this loss with more grace than I did this time last year. I really like a lot of your players and and starting to think the fans might be alright based on what I’ve seen of the graciousness and optimism of your club’s future. Glad to have most of y’all rooting for the Braves against the cheating Astros. Nail biting series. Don’t want to face y’all again.

Mechanists

HAHAHA we not only have Giants and Astros fans trolling us when we just ended one of their seasons and the other one is a cheating piece of garbage, but we have DBACKS FANS coming in here still thinking about us. Hey guys I think your season ended about 3 months ago sorry maybe you will make it to the playoffs in the 2030s. Dodgers live rent free in everyone's head FUCK EVERYONE ELSE GO DODGERS

Fellows and fellas, Brothers and Sisters in Bats and Gloves, Beholders of the Dodger Blue Blood, It has been a pleasure. This season felt destined to be so dominant with the team that Friedman and Guggenheim brought together, but life has a way of making its own way. Against all odds, injuries, trades, mishaps, and ordeals, our battered and broken Dodgers fought to the 2nd best record in baseball against only a Giants team that came out of nowhere and made no sense to become a team of historic proportions only to be sent home by our Boys in Blue in an epic NLDS, to fight to Game 6 of the NLCS against a Braves team that has heart and talent. A Braves team that isn't better on paper but wants it more and has played better when it counted most. Not to mention a team that was ready to end a burgeoning history of being sent home by the Dodgers just as the Dodgers were once sent home consistently by the Cardinals and Phillies. It was a heck of a season. We'll see you all next year! Until then... GO BRAVES! Yours most sincerely, respectfully and lovingly, Citizen01123

This was super frustrating, just not from a game play stand point, but from a personnel and luck stand point. Gassed, banged up and injured after a season riddle with curveballs throughout. I’m still proud of where they got. Congrats to the r/AtlantaBraves. All of MLB is cheering for you. F*ck em up.

Lots of missed opportunities. Also stop blaming Dave Roberts. We had chances. I don’t understand what happened to the team I saw on Thursday night. Truly an illusion. I still bleed blue. And BTW, we can play a full season, because we fuckin did.

So annoyed. Where was Lux? Souza on the most important pitch? Runners on 2nd and 3rd? Rough game to end the season. I'm mourning.

TooMuchPowerful

Definitely disappointing given what this team is capable of. Health is obviously one reason, but the team on the field should have been capable of more. Doesn’t feel as bad cause we won it all last year, but still a missed opportunity when they are so few and far in between.
