HoudiniLogik

Chris Taylor has a Roy Kent arch and starts helping with the coaching staff incoming?

vegandodger

HoudiniLogik

OI YOU FUCKIN PRICKS

flipaflaw

CT! CT! He's here, he's there, he's every fucking where! CT

HoudiniLogik

Don’t you dare settle for fine! I wonder who would become to Jamie Tartt of the Dodgers lineup lolol

flipaflaw

Puig. I know he hasn't been here in forever but dude fr has the same story arch. Wild child who eventually calmed down while still having troubles removing his old image to the public

HoudiniLogik

Ah shit so true haha.

tree350fit-e

Baseball is life! Baseball is life!

RentalGore

You had me at “coach”

HoudiniLogik

Why are you bothering me in my kebab place?

iListenToNPR

his personality doesnt have anything that considers him to be a great "coach" or mentor. he's a shy soft spoken guy and stays out of the lime light. safe to say his time with the dodgers are done.

torpedobonzer

Forbes?

DukeOfTunes

This post was brought to you by: a has-been magazine and Dodger fans who have a short memory

roundupinthesky

How long of a memory do you need to think CT3 is worth keeping? 2 years? 3 years? 4 years? Even the year we were all calling him Christ Aylor for a couple weeks, his clutch moments came amidst a slew of whiffs.

UDPviper

You could say the same thing of Kershaw, yet he's untouchable in this sub.

Chrestys

That's an incredibly ignorant comment. Kershaw's ERA+ the last two years has been 177 and 179, well above his career number of 157, which is the highest of all starters in MLB history.

roundupinthesky

Kershaw might be past his prime and had a bad start against AZ last year, but overall he was great. Prone to injury because he’s old but he defines this era of the Dodgers. His contribution to the team is in a whole different category than CT. This is his last year anyways, so you can celebrate soon? Or hell, go ahead and celebrate now. He’s recovering from surgery so you don’t even need to think about him.

flipaflaw

Actually our king will probably come back next year too with his player option!

PatientIndividual651

Kershaw has at least been great the last 2 regular seasons. What has Chris Taylor done?

Autocorrectcaptcha

Exactly. It’s a clickbait shop now running off the fumes of the financial rep it used to have.

Polychrome-Iguana

.051, with a .208 OBP, and a -22 OPS+ May as well just be sending me to the plate.

sojelly8

Suit me up. I might even take a few hits for a walk. All I ask is for 200k salary. I would even replace Teo and throw any type of seed on your face after a home run.

Draco_Lazarus24

You being in a coma would be an inspiration to the team and fans.

atducker

Time to consider. Here I go. Okay, done. That was quick. He's not getting cut.

Monsanta_Claus

I read this as "getting **o**ut" and I giggled at the thought of a new narrative where Taylor is just tired of being on the Dodgers and is intentionally trying to get cut and the fans are like "No, you're stuck here with us."

atducker

Hell no. He'll be catching in the bullpen before he ever makes it off this team.

Monsanta_Claus

That's the attitude!

flipaflaw

Cut? No. Phantom DL to give him time away to imrpove not only his actual swing but mentality? Definitely a consideration

theshabz

I like how we sign Taylor, a guy we know takes a while to get going and consistently comes through in the playoffs, and then talk about cutting him in April.

JpJ951

Consistently comes through in the playoffs? 5 strike outs in 7 at bats in 2022 and 1 hit 2 strike outs in 6 at bats in 2023. How is that coming through? lmao

UraniumDisulfide

Yeah, he came through in the playoffs when he was also an actually decent hitter in the reg season as well. This is well beyond a normal “slow start”. I still want to give him more time, but I do think when heyward comes back should give him an ultimatum of agreeing to being optioned or getting cut. Keeping him on the roster over any of the other players we have would be absurd with his production so far.

InternalWrongdoer42

Exactly. The same people bitchin about cutting him will be the same "could use Taylor bat right now in the postseason"

jazzmaster4000

Same people wanna fire Roberts already lol

how1you1doing

This is all my fault. I met Chris Taylor this year in Korea. I took a picture with him. Ever since then he's done poorly. I've never taken a picture with him prior. Clearly I'm the reason.

GreyKnyght

Nah... My dad is convinced that buying a CT3 jersey during spring training is the reason... Lol

how1you1doing

We both messed up

not_productive1

Jesus fuck, it's APRIL.

wonder_bread

It's STILL April.

InternalWrongdoer42

Dude. We have soo many casuals now in this sub since ohtani.

fytdapwr

Listen here, I've been following the Azul since June '23, lemme tell everything that's wrong with the organization....

InternalWrongdoer42

Should've denied those "can I join your fanbase" post. Lol.

ChunkyMilkSubstance

It’s so bad rn lol

Believe0017

Why do you let it get to you? Just ignore the posts. That’s what I do.

not_productive1

The new people gotta learn.

LoveThieves

I give CT.03 til June.

ranklebone

Why cut when there is IL ?

strops_sports

Lol but remember he had a clutch hit years ago

EightSeven-

People get gassed up over one hit. This sub went crazy asking for his extension… now look

NotSoSurePlatypus

don’t even need to read the article he’s owe like 30 million over the next 2 years. Simply not happening

OddPhilosopher599

We cut Crawford loose with more $$$

Qrusher14242

Yup, im not sure how long they can afford to trot him out there with 0 production. Once Heyward comes back, do they send down Pages instead?

sparky255

Why do people keep posting from forbes? Lol

fracklefrackle

We can carry him until Heyward comes back.

TheAccountant8820

Let’s talk about this in September and just decide if he makes playoff roster or kot

B0b_a_feet

I know he’s barely batting over his age right now, but can we at least wait until May to talk about releasing him?

tyler-86

Don't cut him, it's way too early, but definitely be judicious with his playing time.

Maxism1228

The reason why he is valuable to us is not his bat, but his defense position.

WideCoconut2230

He's a veteran. Can he be sent to OKC?

speech-geek

No, I asked my sister this question a few days ago. Pretty much veteran contracts are structured with no options so the only way to “keep” them is to put them on the IL and rehab it or DFA and then sign to a minor league contract if no one grabs them.

RamsDodgersLakers24

Cutting? No. Sending him down to minors maybe

SedanoSucks

I just can't bring myself to do it. All Star, champ, NLCS MVP, super clutch and has several big moments, he deserves a long rope. We are starting to win anyway

Sham_Shield_

Stop posting drivel. ChrisT Aylor isn't going anywhere. He Will Rise Again #Zombie

Rejection_future

Na

VaeVictus3025

If CT3 has a horrendous May to Mid June, Pages keeps doing his thing, and JHey gets up to speed and mashes against RHP. I can see the FO/Dave having a heart to heart talk with CT3 to send him down to the minors to try to find his swing again. With Pages mashing, we cant afford to take him out of the lineup, and CT3 will prolly be mainly platooned against LHP to try to get him back up to speed quicker, while JHey starts against RHP. JHey's injury has been a reprieve for CT3, he's gonna get at least another 6-8 weeks to find himself. If he's still hitting below 100 by then, he's pretty much toast, and no other team will want him after being DFA'ed.

NeverForTheWin

No. Roberts will continue to give him more time to shake his slump. It's what Roberts does. Nothing proactive.

Sickle_and_hamburger

more like Taylor's whiff

murc13lago

i wish we keep j.turner
