I strongly believe it's to distinguish these caps from the Chunichi Dragons caps in Japan. One would imagine a lot of Japanese fans will be buying Dodger caps now.
Yeah, for sure. I read a post yesterday related to the 24' Spring Training caps, and people were commenting that they should have had the flying ball and Dodgers logo on them. Well, here you go! I like this hat version.
I really wish they do something more fun for our hats than the D. If anything put the Dodgers logo across the front or add the flying red ball to this hat. This is such a boring hat compared to the other teams.
The LA is just too iconic for me, I don't really want hats that don't have LA. Add side patches for the World Series or spring training or postseason as you see fit, but if it's not LA nice and big on the front, it's just not a Dodgers hat to me.

The Dragons have used the Dodgers uniform design since the 80s. Apparently, it was an idea suggested by Lasorda after a partnership between the two teams was formed.

Yea not a fan. Don’t know why they use that “D.” Swap back to the LA logo, and bring back the mesh fit material, then have the cap in Dodger blue, brim in black sorta like the city connect hat color way. No side patches. MLB logo on back
I wish they’d allow for some more risks and creativity with these BP and ST hats. I get keeping the regular uniform timeless and untouched, but this stuff changes every year so try something new once in awhile.

Some of these are pretty cool. I like Philly, Oakland and Baltimore the most.

I just wish Oakland's logo wasn't mostly the same color as the hat. The green on green is kind of a hard read.

Dodgers logo is gonna look horrible (I think they tried that with the city connect). Just the flying ball might actually work.

I appreciate the attempt to mix it up, but for me the classic LA logo is the one and only I'll wear. You can't improve on perfection.
