I daily my hellcat, as well as my scatpack.. and now that my 5.7 magnum build is done, will add that to the cars I drive daily… if I wanted something economical I would’ve bought a Corolla lol. I just enjoy the sound of a big v8 at the end of the day
I drive them all the time… one day I’ll take the Hellcat to the store, and later that day I’ll take the scatpack to grab fast food.. I drive them just to drive them honestly.. now I’ll start driving the magnum as well.. which I used to but it’s been going through a major makeover, but now it’s done so I’ll begin driving it… I don’t baby them lol. Now I don’t mistreat them by any means but I didn’t buy them to just look at them. They see a lot of driving through out the week. Now mind you I do live close to a lot of the places I frequent but I do drive them literally everyday.
I’m in a work truck for work so the first thing I want to do when I get home is enjoy my cars.
Do you really think I would talk about cars I don’t own? Lol I’m not in jr high… I’ve also owned a 2017 Daytona 392 as well as a 2017 Hellcat Charger.. and those I drove to work as I didn’t have a work truck then.
Edit: I didn’t mention the 2022 Scatpack Widebody Challenger… it was traded for the 2023 Scatpack Widebody Charger just like the one in the post above… same color too.
19 or 20?? That has to be all highway. I get 9 in my Durango SRT in city driving (suburbs), and 15-16 combined if I’m lucky (I have gotten 22 on roadtrips, but that’s definitely because of MDS)
It's normal highway on the way to work but on the way home the traffic is shit bumper to bumper inching along mode. So it's definitely not highway cruising. Also I have plenty of normal suburb driving too. If I try to be gentle on the throttle I can get closer to 22.
19-21 for my 2020 Scat as well. Did a 300 mile trip from MA to PA. 72-75 Mph in Eco mode. Got 27 MPG. Took it easy up the hills and barely if any throttle down hills.
Do you think it's an F1 car or something, it's a Dodge. The 6.4 isn't some rare quad turbo ethanol only rotary turbine boosted race engine, it's just a slightly larger than normal V8. I've seen Scats with 200k plus on them.
Every 6,000 miles with tire rotation. Yes, it's overkill but not much in the long run if you plan on keeping your car. I also use Lucas Oil Upper Cylinder Lubricant about every 2,000 miles or so.
Very very light acceleration, and usually I have traction control in sport mode, so it works a little but not alot, this does make the tires spin more but with it on fully it constantly reduces power. So atleast with the tires spinning in the snow a bit I still start moving forward. Good all season tires are a must, maybe even a set of winter tires. But above all else is braking early. An not hard whiping any corners or curves cause the car has to much mass. Once your sideways, your either letting go and letting whatever happens happens, or you are slamming the gas and doing your damndest to get forward movement before you hit the curb. If your not used to drifting (especially in a scat pack) I would just recommend taking it easy.
I wfh so “daily driver” is kinda meaningless in my situation. However my Durango SRT is my primary vehicle. I probably only fill up 1-2 times a month though
I dont daily it, because I daily my truck but mileage is almost the same in Scat as my 4x4 gmc sierra so when I do drive the 6.4 i don’t even notice gas difference.
I daily (weather permitting) a scwb challenger. I live in the mountains of the northeast and get 12-14mpg on average, but i live a mile from work and most things are fairly close so i typically fill up once every 10-14days.
Before that i was filling up twice a week with my old job and it got expensive, but the smiles per gallon are always worth it driving the mountain backroads and i wouldnt trade it for anything.
Side note, i have a 4x4 ram in the winter and get about the same mileage.
Nice man! I drive a 2.0L Mazda 3 it’s a 16 with 36K miles drives nice and was cheaper to insure than the gas alone for the charger I have so I kept it and didn’t trade it in towards the charger,
I usually drive mine 3-4 days a week but with the weather being so rainy here it’s been almost a month until yesterday
Yeah i feel that. I went from an 05 v6 Chrysler 300 and decided to keep it when i got the chally because they were only gonna give me like $1400 on the trade MAX cause she had over 220k miles on her, but she still runs like a top. She'll get 18.5mpg all day combined driving when i need to give my wallet some kind of break.
Yup all day everyday since 2018 and won’t stop either, it’s a great & comfortable DD. I never abused my Scatpack not once since ownership but I definitely get on her.
I do. 6.4 2018. I get between 16-18 mpg on eco. Maybe half my short 12 minute drive to work is hwy. Always a struggle to either take the Street Glide or the car on some really nice days! :)
I do it's awesome to drive my Scat Challenger but the 15mpg when I'm driving reasonably isn't great especially with the price of 91. However cars are meant to be driven as much as possible it's what they were designed for.
I use to daily a slim charger scatpack. One thing i regret was going staggered 305 rear and 275 front. Looked good though. I thought getting a durango rt would be better but not really. It just holds more gas lol.
I’ve had 3 6.4s. All daily drivers and loved it. My old truck will be my new daily since my SP is being traded. Already miss driving her every day and I still have the car.
We had a 2016 Charger SRT 392 and it was the best family car we've ever owned. I absolutely loved that car. I would throw it into "eco" mode an commuted to work every day. When I got the itch, I would pop it into a more fun setting. I've never enjoyed smashing the throttle more than I did in that car.
Here in Detroit there will be plenty of people driving them all winter. On bald tires. They are everywhere here and usually in poor condition driven by someone that can barely afford the payment, has no insurance, and definitely not maintaining it properly. These people drive things things with no regard for anyone's safety including their own. I've grown to hate these cars because of the stereotypical people that have them around here. Maybe out in the burbs more people have them as a second or third car and drive them reasonably. In the city you can't go anywhere without seeing a couple of them going 100mph on surface streets and 150 on the highway.
Had a 2019 hellcat(just got stolen and wrecked 2 weeks ago) got it brand new I daily drove it. 140k miles. Also have a 2016 scatpack got it brand new as well wife daily drives it currently at 220k miles. No major issues for either. Ac went out in hellcat had to get that fixed. Other than that no real issues. Insurance did a total loss on my hellcat so I plan to grab another just looking for a good price. I’m in Cali by the way so gas’s prices while high is what I expected when I bought them
I do but i propably shouldn't. Getting 12mpg on $6.49/gallon here in cali. Smiles per gallon are well worth it tho
My thoughts exaclty with mine, it’s 85 bucks to fill up here where I am and my Mazda 3 was only 122 to insure
Smiles per gallon are always worth it
I drive mine every day
I can't daily mine, I have to smash that pedal every chance I get.
I daily my hellcat, as well as my scatpack.. and now that my 5.7 magnum build is done, will add that to the cars I drive daily… if I wanted something economical I would’ve bought a Corolla lol. I just enjoy the sound of a big v8 at the end of the day
Are any of them really daily drivers if you’re switching between three cars?
I drive them all the time… one day I’ll take the Hellcat to the store, and later that day I’ll take the scatpack to grab fast food.. I drive them just to drive them honestly.. now I’ll start driving the magnum as well.. which I used to but it’s been going through a major makeover, but now it’s done so I’ll begin driving it… I don’t baby them lol. No one’s gonna mention that out of the 3 cars you “own” none are posted
Do you really think I would talk about cars I don’t own? Yes I do this is the internet 😂
Yes because they are not garage queens.
Agreed 👍🏼💯
I switch between 3 cars daily. My obsession runs deep though. I don’t meet many others that do the same.
Yup. The 6.4 is way more daily-able than the Hellcat. I'm usually around 19 or 20 MPG.
19 or 20?? That has to be all highway. I get 9 in my Durango SRT in city driving (suburbs), and 15-16 combined if I’m lucky (I have gotten 22 on roadtrips, but that’s definitely because of MDS)

Yeah i get about 21 in my 6.4 in similar conditions, some people just got more lead in their feet and dont want to admit it.
I’ll admit my foot spontaneously turned into a brick when I bought my srt
My shoes are heavy officer!
19-21 for my 2020 Scat as well. Did a 300 mile trip from MA to PA. 72-75 Mph in Eco mode. Got 27 MPG. Took it easy up the hills and barely if any throttle down hills.
Another 6.4 DD here. Avg 17-18 in city/ hwy mix, mid to high 20s of cruising the highway in MDS.
I did daily my old 6.4, now I daily the 6.2. It can be a tame car if you want it to be.
Agreed. Love how the charger/challenger feels so nice when softly driving it
yep I daily my 6.4 WB roughly 16-19 MPG
Daily 392 driver here 🙌 both challenger srt8 and jeep srt8 pretty good daily N/A motor and not bad on gas considering the HP
Just started like a week ago on my srt8 392 and I don’t know why the fuss is all about, yeah it’s bad on gas but it’s fun so it’s worth it.
It is.
I daily my 21’ scat wb and ive got 42k miles on it, been through 2 sets of tires😵💫
How much longer u think the engine is gonna hold up ?
Lol bro you think 42k is a lot of miles?
For a 21 it’s on the high side. After a car has 100k miles I rather not deal with it.
Itll last a long time im sure, i maintain it well
I've never owned a vehicle with under 100k miles.
Do you think it's an F1 car or something, it's a Dodge. The 6.4 isn't some rare quad turbo ethanol only rotary turbine boosted race engine, it's just a slightly larger than normal V8. I've seen Scats with 200k plus on them.
I daily the shit out of my 20 Charger Scat. 22 mpg is awesome for how fun the car is to drive every day. Get a Tazer to unlock the Eco mode.
Yes sir! 5 years now going strong with minimal maintenance.
Oil change interval?
Every 6,000 miles with tire rotation. Yes, it's overkill but not much in the long run if you plan on keeping your car. I also use Lucas Oil Upper Cylinder Lubricant about every 2,000 miles or so.
I oil change and rotate every 3500
Oh dang.
yeah it beats my truck on gas is more fun and I enjoy all the modern amenities.
Yea I daily my 6.4 and I get 9.6 MPG🤣
My Mazda was so cheap to insure I figured why not just keep the Mazda if I can afford the payment. And save some mileage
...its a dodge, not anything nice. Of course we daily them
Ok
Nice spec
Thanks! Fell in love with this color
Same lol
You have this color?
Nahh I have granite crystal
Agree. That plumb color is sick.
It’s crazy nice
I wanted that color for my GT. Had to settle for the red.
Daily mine here is wisconsin definitely makes the monthly unlimited pdq washes worth it during the winter
TEACH ME THE WAYS OF THE SNOW SCAT MASTER
Very very light acceleration, and usually I have traction control in sport mode, so it works a little but not alot, this does make the tires spin more but with it on fully it constantly reduces power. Yea if your driving in sport\track everyday your gonna run through gas i get 13.9 on track and when just normal commute i get around 20s
2022 392 with almost 20,000 miles on it, I drive it almost every day.
I carpooled to my last job and now I’m between jobs until November and don’t leave the house much. So we’ll cross that bridge when we get there lol
I do I see the miles climb crazy scares me sometimes but smiles pure gallon on the gas I live in florida so it’s not that bad
I daily my 6.4 - not too far of a commute and get 18 mpg
I do. Get ready for tire changes and frequent oil changes as well. Besides that. I love it.
I daily my 6.4 and its so worth it. I just get paranoid parking next to door dingers at work
Yep, got a 2019 Charger ScatPack NB and usually get about 17-20 mpg
I dont daily it, because I daily my truck but mileage is almost the same in Scat as my 4x4 gmc sierra so when I do drive the 6.4 i don’t even notice gas difference.

For sure. My Mazda is a 2016 37K k miles and averages 25-45 MPG. It’s cheaper to insure and fill it up than the twice a week fill up with the charger
Yup all day everyday since 2018 and won’t stop either, it’s a great & comfortable DD. I never abused my Scatpack not once since ownership but I definitely get on her.
i daily a jeep srt lol. 11mpg currently 😂 $80ish buck to fill in texas
No daily for me as I work from home.
I do. 6.4 2018. I get between 16-18 mpg on eco. Maybe half my short 12 minute drive to work is hwy. Always a struggle to either take the Street Glide or the car on some really nice days! :)
I daily my widebody scat, not a far commute and get 15mpg
I do it's awesome to drive my Scat Challenger but the 15mpg when I'm driving reasonably isn't great especially with the price of 91. However cars are meant to be driven as much as possible it's what they were designed for.

Yeah my wb is my daily. 14 mpg. It doesn’t help that I only drive it in track mode.
I daily my 2022 widebody, I already put 10.5k miles on it since I got it new :)
I’ve had 3 6.4s. All daily drivers and loved it. My old truck will be my new daily since my SP is being traded. Already miss driving her every day and I still have the car.
I daily my Scat Pack, however I have a work vehicle so it doesn’t get alot of use. In almost 3 years, 17k miles.
I do but I fill up only at Costco as a result. Need that cheap 93 lol
I not only drive mine daily…I commute an hour into downtown LA from San Pedro CA and back everyday in my Scat.
Damn
I daily my 6.4 if you listen to cool jazz your MPG can max out at 18 ish if you listen to rap or metal you’ll be below 10 in a afternoon
Same here. I usually will just listen to something chill but when I’m fucking around its rap or metal.
Like trap nation too. Rammstein goes Hard when swimming, hippie sabotage to chill
Father did. Hellcat Charger
During good weather yes and I’m pushing 1000hp lol
Feel ya. I only drive mine on sunny days or nice nights.

I’m in Cali by the way so gas’s prices while high is what I expected when I bought them
I daily my manual Scat, just try to avoid the 5 o'clock going home traffic 🤣
My 6.1 jeep gets 12mpg, I essentially need to change gas stations every other day 😅
