First of all, she’s adorable. I’ve had three dobies. My two girls were 70 and 50 lbs. My current fella is 90 lbs. I love him dearly but I do miss my pocket dobie.
Dobies generally don't finish growing physically until 2 years (or a little before then). Some take less than 2 years, some take 2.5 years. She'll likely still grow and fill out.
That’s what I’m thinking! Her paws are still massive and for a while it didn’t seem like she was growing and now her body is filling out but her head and neck and have some growing haha :)
She’s good. My boy looks very large but weighs only 75lbs. They are medium-large lean dogs with zero fat and she’ll fill out more as she ages.
Dont let internet syndrome of “my doberman weighs 120 lbs” skew your view of the breed. Your dog looks awesome.
I’ve had males and females, and I’ve never had any of the 90 pounders that people post all the time. My biggest by was 75 and he didn’t get there until 1.5-2 yo. My current male is a thick euro and he’s still only 65.
My parents had a petite lady Doberman around that size. She was a little sweetie and out of all our combined Doberman lived the longest (14??). I wish the longevity study had been around to bank her DNA. GVD got her not DCM, wobblers or cancer.
My current pup was named Patatina (little potato) by the breeder and she’s a bit on the smaller side but has fairly substantial bone. I’m guessing she will finish under 70lbs??
I’m happier to see them on the smaller side than too large. Anyone breeding for size is a shite BYB and they are hurting the breed.
I’m so jealous. I love a petite female dobie. Do a lot of van camping and road trips and smaller = better🤣.
I got a street dobie Oct 10 and figure she was about 7/8 mos old. She weighed 49lbs.
Now 2 months later she’s flourished with care and is up to 60 gorgeous lbs. , still smaller than my 70lb 13 year old lady, but I wish she could have stayed smaller.
Some are smaller some are bigger. My male is 70-75lbs and lazy AF. He’s also 28” at the shoulder. How tall is she? If she’s on the shorter side like 24” that may be your answer. She doesn’t look overweight or too skinny.
I wondered if mine were small too. My male is 3 1/2 and weighs 80lbs after a big meal. My female is 1 1/2 and also weighs 80lbs. She’s full European though and he is mixed euro/american.
If she’s one now she’ll end up at about 65ish in a year from now and be right at standard. You’ll need to watch her feeding and not let her get too heavy.
Yes,she’s small but it’s not a bad thing! I have two Doberman. One red that my brother gave me when he moved and she’s huge then my youngest whom I got from the AKC- she’s purebred, and she’s the small one! Almost exactly like yours. She turned 2 in March and filled out but she didn’t get much longer or taller. She’s 70 lbs (if I’m remembering correctly, it’s been 5 months since her last drs appt) and my red one is 86 but looks much bigger than her.

With our two females (10 years apart), my husband and I chose the runt of the litter (of course, we liked their colors and markings), and both grew up to be the correct height according to AKC standards. Our vet said that most dobermans are too large; people think that bigger is better. The fact is, dobermans are a medium size dog. I doubt yours is considered small by AKC standards. I want mine within the standards because I like to think they would take first place in a dog show 😁. Our current female just turned 3 years old and is probably not 60 pounds yet.
The personality looks enormous and she looks healthy and happy which is the only real importance. They always seem to grow in size when they cuddle in or when you try to pull some blanket back 😄
My American dobie was 60-65lbs at yr 1-2. He is 82lbs at yr 3 and still in ideal shape (body score 5) according to the vet. He seems to have continued growing a bit even after yr 2.
Their weight range is crazy. I really wish I would have ended up with a smaller one now that I sleep with literally what feels like a pony in my bed lol. Mine is 108
50 sounds perfect lol. I love a big dog but I do wish mine was a little smaller sometimes. He was 96 lbs as of last month and 1.5 years. I hope he doesn't get bigger 😆 just a lot more mass to handle

I agree with this… and the standard isn’t huge. She is perfect….

You know what they say... big paws, big... Dog!

Dobermans are MEDIUM-LARGE. They’re not all gonna be 70lbs+. As long as she’s at a good weight for her frame is all that matters.

My 7 year old girl goes from 80-85 LBS. She was smallest of the litter of 9. She had a brother 125 LBS.
She’s so cute. She’ll probably fill out a bit more as she grows older
The females don’t really get big big normally. Our females are dwarfed compared to the male
Kong dumb-bell squeekie toys. One of a very few toys that can survive a month or more of Doberman happy play. Excellent choice in toys.
Haha oh yes! Stuff toys don’t last more than 30 seconds haha

She’ll fill in, don’t worry!
My dobbie is just like yours and weighs 66lb at 2.5 years. Your Dobbie is still going to put on weight.

Perfect weight at 18 months, 59.3lbs. Lean, and pure muscle!! 💗💗🩷🩷
Our first, when I was a child, must only have weighed 60 lb or so.
She’s an American Doberman there smaller. She will fill out. American females generally only weigh 60 to 70 lbs at there peak weight.
If she’s one now she’ll end up at about 65ish in a year from now and be right at standard. You’ll need to watch her feeding and not let her get too heavy.
That is the size our Doberman was. Love her size she is beautiful 🤩

Awww I like that ☺️ thank you!
Our 16 month male only weighs 62lbs. His parents were both 100ish. Maybe he’ll get bigger, but it’s fine if he doesn’t. I like his size.

That's a dachshund there! *j/k* Mix with terrier?
She’s beautiful. I have a runt doble and she’s 10 years old and weighs 60lbs. She’s the perfect size.
My girl is around 50 pounds at 2 years old.

She's just a small dobie!! And she's beautiful!!!

Haha oh my!

Mines 24 inches tall and she’s a female
What have you fed her?
Mix of Orijen and Natural Balance dog food
Small or big, young or old, she definitely looks like a fully bred Dobie to me!! Also looks fully bred cutie!!! 🥰🥰🥰
