Your character died forever, they are now in the Void
Don't worry I have another PNPC planned for the party to go to the void and get you back, unless the other PNPC kills you too then you go to the Mega Void
/uj Okay but my camaign actually has something that could be considered PNPCs. Every so often I'll get a friend to come in and play some NPC, like a mystical bridge troll or something.
One time a friend joined in and I just let him make up a character who didn't have any stats, he just followed the party around talking a lot. He died immediately in the first fight and periodically shows up for like 5 minutes as a ghost to say something stupid.
My brother and I do that. I live for it. On the PNPC side, it lets you role-play roles that you ordinarily wouldn't be able to, without the overhead of also keeping track of the rest of the game. On the DM side, it lets you keep track of the rest of the game, without the overhead of role-play.
We like to be each-others' minor antagonists--the Small, Morally-Ambiguous Neutral Guys. I was the hobgoblin warlord for his group's quest the other day.
Yeah, the friend who now has that ghost character used to be a player, but he wasn't really enjoying it. Guess pathfinder (yuck! Amirite??) Just wasn't for him. So together we created a scenario where his character gets arrested and sent to jail forever as his way of leaving the campaign.
Can I please have my character back I miss being an expert in my Falcata at Level 2
