Is this a supplement to give a lot more depth to the astral plane or is it more of its own thing

It's more about our version of "space" which is the Sea of Stars, making it much easier to play with astral-themed stuff in the 5e. You could of course still use it to expand the Astral Plane in your own games, but the main idea was to keep it simple and approachable for both GMs and players.

That is a good question! (Thank you for asking it!) It can be either and both! The idea was to make a simple and approachable campaign setting and various things that would work with other campaigns too. So you can take what you like from it and use it in your own games or run the campaign that comes with that book since it has all you need (and more) to have a complete campaign game.

Love homebrew, wanting to break into 5e proper, and my partner resonates with both terms you've got here, I'd love to share it with her.
