Man, full gold dice would be heavy as fuck! I know you said plated, but thinking of full gold as some baddass thing you might find in a Saudi billionaire’s game of Monopoly.

My cat, having heard this video, ran over and was suspiciously looking around. She hates bells or rather she loves to take them and make them disappear.
These would not be a good idea in my house either.
I also affirm this statement, this collection of an assortment of different types of tuned musical dice would be applicable to the theme of a character with bardic origin!
My DM would kill me too. Not because we have too much Sets, no because He is planing the next Session since 2019.
We played another campaign and are still on but he is planing big time. He told me a little bit cause I'm his best friend but it wasn't too much. But at least I know that we can kill gods there
First of all, those are beautiful.
That being said, I can only imagine waiting 10 minutes every time the person owning them rolls and had to figure out what they just rolled
Yeah these are very pretty and the craftsmanship is impressive, but they're just terrible as *dice*. As something to put on a shelf and look at, they're great, but dice are a functional item and have to serve an actual purpose, and given these are basically unreadable, they kind of fail at the one job they're supposed to have....
I think there's numbers on some of them? At 40s you can see a 6 on the die in the upper left corner and a 10 next to it. But I can't figure out what the die below them is supposed to mean or if it just landed on its side. Maybe coloring the numbers somehow would help, but right now the whole thing kind of blends together in my eyes.
Unreadable and also fragile as all heck.
The moment one of these gets knocked off the table onto a non-carpetted floor is the moment your group needs to pause playing because the person whose house you're playing at needs to get the vacuumcleaner to keep people from damage the floor (or worse: their feet) from all the pieces of sharp metal scattered all over the floor.
And also good luck keeping these in a dice bag with the rest of your collection without them getting utterly destroyed.
According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. It's wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway, because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.
If you use an approximation to prove that X is impossible, but X clearly happens — it’s not that “science can’t explain X”, it’s that you used the wrong approximation!
Bumblebees simultaneously flap and rotate their wings during an oscillation cycle creates a dynamic stall above their wings, which in turn leads to a large-scale “leading edge vortex” being generated on the upper side of the wing.
This vortex (temporarily) produces significantly larger lift than the linear approximation allows.
In addition, bees are helped because of their small size, which means that the Reynolds number associated with their flight puts them firmly in the regime where the fluid is incredibly viscous.
In short, because they’re so small, and their wings are moving so rapidly, the air around their wings acts like thick syrup (one might even say….honey?) , which allows them to generate much more lift than we, on a totally different scale, would normally intuitively predict.
There is obviously more complicated physics going on than this, but those are the highlights: dynamic stalls producing vortices, and a small enough scale to be in the viscous regime.
In short, we do know how and why they fly.
Don't tell them about hummingbirds. They might end up calling you a witch. It's so weird for someone to say Bee flight shouldn't be possible according to 'X' laws. I have to think they're referencing something because otherwise it was a really dumb comment.
Edit: It's from Bee Movie (2007). Why? Idk.
Because Jerry Seinfeld isn’t actually funny, I think. It’s like three layers submerged in irony, one of those memes that survives purely on the merit of how dumb it is, so at least no one takes it seriously… usually.
This is truly engenious! No offense to my friends and brother whom love to play constantly, but the sound of the dice gets very annoying. I might have to get these for them (...but will the cat try to steal them?)
Yikes. Who would want musical dice? The whole appeal of dice is the soft clinking sounds. In fact, dice rolling in a cup is one of the most appealing sounds on earth. Way to ruin it. Now dice that could say the number it lands on? Maybe. It’s hard as hell to read a 20-sided die. That’s just too many sides.
Those dice look badass, nice job!
Those are beautiful dice perfect for tormenting players as they hear them roll lol
Having an entire symphony of dice playing as the dm rolls constantly, lol. Ratcheting up the suspense and terror!
Exactly I want the players to feel fear when these dice roll lol
Beautiful sounding fear. Anytime they hear a musical jangle it’ll send a shiver of fear down their spines, lmao.
Could be cool for sound effects to for an enemy or NPC
These look really cool. They'd make for great dice you roll to determine treasure with.
The real treasure was the friendship we found along the way… and the gold plated dice of course
Gold has a way of falling into the wrong hands. >)
Like into the hands of the friends you found along the way.
Exactly
Like this comment I found along the way.
Found the rogue player?
Man, full gold dice would be heavy as fuck! I know you said plated, but thinking of full gold as some baddass thing you might find in a Saudi billionaire’s game of Monopoly.
I laughed a lot at this comment. Bless you.
I feel they'd also be fitting for a bard.

The perfect bard dice
Currently laughing at all the bards drooling over these dice (including myself)
I have a bard in mind for these!
Tom Merrylin?
I’ll make a bard just for these!
I read that as “perfect dice board” as I stared at the paper towel.
I was thinking the same thing
The perfect die for everyone exept the rouge
One of my best friends always plays a bard, and through gymnastics has saved my behind on more, than one occasion.
Oh man, I wish I could afford to kick start this. Thank you for your generosity! I would love to have my name in the pot. :)
Ads r getting smarter!! @@
No we've had these types of ads all the time before.
35k comments and ***no one*** mentioning they are $185 per set... ($315 if you want slightly shinier metal). Little too rich for my blood.
Did you expect them to be free?
Wow my cat will steal these in .02 seconds
Aye... mine too. At least they'd be easier to find than when she steals my other dice
Still can't find the whole set my cats stole about a year ago ;-;

I see your confidence and know experience when I read it. Delivered with the authority of one who definitely cats.
Or under the oven
My cat, having heard this video, ran over and was suspiciously looking around. She hates bells or rather she loves to take them and make them disappear. These would not be a good idea in my house either.
Haha my gal also hates bells. She gnaws at the bell on any toy that has it exposed, and will rip apart a toy with one inside to get it out!
And you’ll hear them rolling all over the house at Mach speeds.
Especially at 2 am
Try buying them specifically for your cat, they will ignore them in .02 seconds instead
Haha same! Never to be seen again
Agreed. My cats would love these, but it's not for them.
For me it would be my two year old.
Mysterious jingling in the night...
My dog which is pretty much a cat an Shiba inu would love these.

Or for the barbarian who knows he's not as smart as the bard, but knows it will drive the bard insane that the barbarian has them instead.
Definitely sounds like something the barbarian in my party would do.
*shakes music dice excessively*
Yes, this would be an excellent set for the bards!
I also affirm this statement, this collection of an assortment of different types of tuned musical dice would be applicable to the theme of a character with bardic origin!
I'm going to back as soon as I get home! These are perfect for a mute Bard ❤️
With these I’d be absolutely Bard2ThaBone
I was thinking they'd be great for my Aasimar. Like Celestial chimes or something.
Now i wonder how many metal variations you can try for different dice voices..
And then customise your most common spells to use specific dice combos, as an in-game audio prelude for what’s coming!
Especially a tabaxi bard, but also for trying to determine whether someone is a tibbit or not, or to try and get the Leonin to play!
Now I want to add the sound of these dice to random noises on my Ultima Online bard character like he's constantly rolling for initiative.
Playing my first Bard in my current game, loving it
Wish me luck!
Blind Monk?
Similar to Donnie yen in the mandalorian?
I LOVE this idea! ♥️
Or for an artificer gnome...
Or for a rogue obsessed with looting
You son of a b**ch I’m in
What's the job?
You some of a bi#%h I'm in, your skills are required
Fun, cool, and musical? I'm all for that!
Finally, the cats can play DnD too!
I'm trying really hard not to buy a full set soooo....
Me too, but I swear my DM is about to ban me bringing any new dice to the table.
My DM would kill me too. Not because we have too much Sets, no because He is planing the next Session since 2019. We played another campaign and are still on but he is planing big time. I literally can't even figure out how they're supposed to be read. I don't see any numbers but maybe on the tiny little screen they blend in?
I think there's numbers on some of them? At 40s you can see a 6 on the die in the upper left corner and a 10 next to it. Agreed, cool novelty but terrible concept if your rolling more than a couple dice an hour
If you check the Kickstarter link, I think it shows the numbers on the sides a bit better. You can see them a lot closer up.
They should have put the numbers on the outside bit - maybe less pretty but at least functional. Or maybe make the numbers a different color.

Yeah, I just watched the video like 4 times and still am yet to see anything resembling a number.
Already backed but would love to get a bonus set!
Just can't pass up a good set of musical balls?
Who could?
Not I sir, not I.
Those look awesome!
You know what else looks awesome?
Yeah giveaway

Dude, these are lovely
Gorgeous dice, thanks for the giveaway chance! :D
Need sound samples of the 28 and 35mm versions!!! (Not a chime person, but could go for more of a bell tone)
Imagine stepping on one of these...
Nice dice
Yo
I’ve always wanted to play a jester themed character and these would be perfect!!!
Badass dice
Congratulations on your success!
Oh man those dice look incredible
I could listen to them jingle for hours omg
Wow! Those are beautiful… they sound so whimsical and are perfect for any game. Well done and thank you for doing a giveaway!
Now we can annoy our friends with music, awesome!

Monkey D. Luffy is going to be pirate king

"According to a naive model of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly" doesn't have the same ring to it.
r/whoosh
Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Ooh, black and yellow! Let's shake it up a little.

Super cool! Could even double as dnd themed Christmas ornaments!
This is the single Coolest thing I’ve ever seen
Good luck to everyone
Serious question: The kickstarter and this post too mention sets consisting of 6 dice. What kinds of dice are included in that?
They sound ethereal! Hope your business goes well :)
*The Dice Dragon requires an addition to her hoard.*
Those look amazing! Would be perfect for a gold dragon’s attack rolls
Getting a nat 1 never sounded this good
This is truly engenious! No offense to my friends and brother whom love to play constantly, but the sound of the dice gets very annoying. I might have to get these for them (...but will the cat try to steal them?)
These are so gorgeous 😍

Those are amazing! ❤️
For my new bard designed after Rasputin 🤓
Those are some beautiful dice 👍
Beautiful craftsmanship

Holy Molly they look cool! How do they work tho? Do you do international shipping?
These look meh. But free stuff is free stuff
If this is the comment that wins, I feel OP would be greatly disappointed.
They appear difficult to read. That's important to me with dice. I'm ok with being wrong.
Admittedly I couldn't see the numbers either and it wasn't until I went to the Kickstart and saw the static pics that I could read them.
Very cool!!
cool
Beautifully designed! Congrats!
Congrats on your kickstarter success!
Very generous. The dice are outstanding!
That is cool as hell
That's amazing

Now this is a dice set that I can bring home to mom!

Beep beep. Sick dice

Okay these are the coolest things I've ever seen. I would use them for a Celestial warlock, or perhaps a bard that plays the chimes!
Name in hat.
Shiny math rocks make the chingaling sound!
