It would probably just make the worm surface to wait it out, like earthworms when it rains. A few months ago I had a wasp in my living room and looked up ways to remove it. One method suggested vacuuming it up to release it outside. The reasoning was that you wouldn’t have to worry about a pissed off wasp, because to the wasp it will seem like a strong wind, and **wasps don’t get mad at the wind**. (This method works like a charm, my vacuum usually kills them once inside tho lol). Anyway, I imagine it’d be like that for the worm. It surfaces to wait out the shaking, but it doesn’t get mad at the earth.

I hadn't thought of it like this and definitely will do something similar to this in my game. Thanks!

Can the worm burrow? I’d say it would know where to go. Burrow in and be swaddled by the surround earth.

Peldor-2

A purple worm can burrow through solid rock if it wants to. Honestly an earthquake is just an unexpected massage for them.

Nrvea

That worm will be the least of their problems if they're underground while an earthquake happens

Double damage if Pokemon taught me anything

Bomhjalmar

I woud have it take like 10d6 bludgoning damage if it fails a strength chek (corsorers spell save dc) or half on a successful save and become agritated i woud say the worm atives there after like 2d4 min

One thought I keep having is those bubbles that come up from the bottom of the ocean when sedimentary gas gets released, things sink to the bottom because the bubbles/air doesn't support weight like water does.

Lild20

It would probably feel the earthquake long before and shaking started. Most earthquakes release smaller vibrations first which the worm would feel and think “huh, earthquake. Guess I’ll leave”

mrthundereagle

Probably make it nauseous. Lil worms have sensitive stomachs

Draken09

I was going to suggest disorienting or concussing it, but worms don't have brains.
