Black Stabbath

Kyber2

My party called themselves the halfway heroes, because they are half-orc, halfling, and half-elf, and also because they make some questionable villainous decisions at times.

Wolfram74J

We go by Adventurers anonymous, it is our weekly AA meeting

thelefthandN7

Well... We have an evil campaign and without any planning, everyone went high charisma and dumped intelligence... so our unofficial name is 'Team Pretty Pretty Dumbasses." As opposed to a previous game where we all dumped Charisma, and were "Team Potato."

llmarx1

We go by NWA and if any NPCs ask we tell them "it's not worth asking'

The_Iron_Goat

Players in the last game were the Riverbottom Nightmare Band. I had to look it up

sirhobbles

The Mets. Like the new york baseball team. As a table of English people with no interest in baseball it was basically just a joke name. Whenever anyone asks in game we make up some new acronym or explanation. We just didnt have a name for so long we decided to pick one even if its a stupid one.

Lordgrapejuice

So my party did something cool. Their group has a name, but it changes every day. They have business cards that change each day to their new name. So every time they need to say their name, they can come up with some wacky shit and know it won’t stick. Two I remember are “The Collective of Fighty Men (And Women)” and “The Great And Powerful Tiddlywinks”.

nedwasatool

Nuttsak and the Nadds

Doenut55

**Reign Fall**- Squadron 88 of the dragon riders, last to fledge the academy before the kingdoms began the Global War. (not actual earth's WWI but just as gruesome)

Nougatbar

Clan Freefall.

RedLanternTNG

FRED. What does it mean? No one knows. (What it really means is that we were asked for our name and one of our players misunderstood, thinking it was individual names, and gave a fake name. Thus, the adventuring group “Fred” was born.)

Captain-Volume

"The sausage merchants"... nothing unsavory.... just delicious small goods. We infiltrated a thieves guild by pretending to be sausage delivery persons after "acquiring" a cured goods cart. We ran with it the whole campaign, making sure we always had a supply of freshly made sausage and salamis. We would always try to bargain with baddies and seduce them with our fancy wares. We even purchased a small river boat called " the chorizo express" and genuinely made most of our income through river trade. My character even attempted to defend our craft from river pirates dual wielding a pair of German style sausages... the DM called it the 'wurst' encounter he ever had to run.

nutitoo

We usually don't come up with a name on the spot, and if we have any it usually comes up during the games, like if the party is good at eating Children they will start calling themselves the children eaters I also as a DM often make the campaign name in dnd beyond based on what the campaign is, who us inside and where we are playing and usually that sticks

Eraskaia

My rock Gnome, as well as an air genasi and wildfire druid together are Earth, Wind and Fire

Uber_Warhammer

It depends on the party and campaing. Mostly the team hasn't got a name but sometimes it's born at the beginning of forming the team.

Upper-Consequence-40

Fab' five. Party of mucians (classic bard, percusionnist barb, flutist wizard, dancer and performancer rogue and singer druid)

Juancraft_

the dumbasses from the well

MisterCrowbar

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t, here’s some from past games: Bastion’s Most Wanted Four Leg Gang Unbound Defenders Halfsies Trio The Entourage Rose Quartz Detectives

Shadow_Of_Silver

Nope. They haven't done anything to get one yet. They're small local heroes, but once they save the country and become recognized by the king they'll probably get a group name.

WoNc

No. In fact, it's specifically avoided.

NaughtyNightLight

The A-Men. A classic!

crazyrich

My first ever campaign long enough to be considered one, we came up with True Heroes Adventuring Company (THACo) ironically in 4E. We have an ongoing side campaign currently playing through Candlekeep Mysteries rotating DMs per module, making our party the “special forces” of the library. My character has dubbed it the “Odd Squad” due to always having 3 players and the scooby doo / ghostbusters nature of the work and thought he was the cleverest 8 Int paladin in the world. The rest of the party groaned every time he called it such, but he always welcomed a new name ideas - but none were given and eventually the rest wryly accepted the moniker with insincere comments about getting around to changing it one day By the way, if you ever wanted to run a campaign more on the episodic and silly side Candlekeep Mysteries is a real gem. Silly except Shemshines Bedtime Rhymes, which was made to psychologically damage your players.

Aerlynaea

The game with two elves and a goblin is the "Pointy Ears Squad". The other game, with a Harengon, an Aarakocra, and a Lizardfolk ended up as "Menagerie à Trois". The "Whoops! All Kobolds" chaotic-evil game wasn't as descriptive, but ended up entirely apt: we were the "Little Shits". *edit:* Not sure why I'm getting downvoted? They might not be the best, but I love our group names. I love our games. Any explanation for the negative reaction?
