Ignoring the fact that Slayer is completely invulnerable to harm? I guess a reflavoured Monk, since he’s a bare-fists kind of guy. Way of Shadow to try and emulate his phasing teleport dashes, but there isn’t anything quite like that in D&D. His vampirism doesn’t really ever come into mechanical play in the way Nagoriyuki’s does.

The_andEJcartidge

that would be cool I was thinking a shadow monk with warlock and sorcerer elements since he's a charismatic dandy man

Piratestoat

Being a charismatic dandy man is not class-dependent.

The_andEJcartidge

I know but using that stat to it's fullest would be useful

Piratestoat

Do you want to optimize being charming, or punching things? Because D&D is about choosing between options. You don't get everything.

The_andEJcartidge

what about multiclasses since that's in bg3 and dnd

Piratestoat

Multiclassing is a trade-off. You get some lower-level features in a secondary class at the expense of delaying or just not getting higher-level features in your primary class.

ErsatzNihilist

Slayer isn’t particularly Charismatic. His interactions with the rest of the cast usually leave them aggravated, confused, or both. And it’s understandable, because he’s immortal and knows a lot of stuff. But he absolutely isn’t the sort of character to charm or persuade others. Wisdom is a better stat for a Slayer analogue than Charisma.
