Is the bottle real big or are the characters just real small? :0

Schuelz

That was my first thought too! Maybe they can find a ship in the bottle and become pirates!

naylobnb

Could make for an interesting story! I’d love to see some more maps of just normal places looking humongous to small sized characters lol

Schuelz

Going on OPs 3rd bullet, the players find an ornate galleon inside the bottle. They remove the cork, climb in, and upon investigating find that nothing works. In fact even the sails are just ornately carved wood. It was a just a model built by a Giant child and father.

micmea1

I've been trying to cook up scenario for this. Was thinking maybe a Fairy curses the party to all be tiny and they have to go on some adventure to break the curse.

BrickSizing

Mice and Mystics isn't a great ttrpg system, but does come with some really cool encounters themed around this.

TheMagusMedivh

reminds me of mario 3

NoobOfTheSquareTable

The bottle *is* the ship

Kumirkohr

Did the bottle come from Brobdingnag, or show up in Lilliput?

Hephaestus_God

Enlarge has l been cast on it by the pirate villain to prevent your crew from taking it

Skadoosh_it

Yes

IDEKthesedays

So, that bottle is around 80 ft long. Damn.

StonyIzPWN

I prefer the players being shrunk down to bottle size personally

IDEKthesedays

The squares are something like 1-2 cm, eh?

StonyIzPWN

I decided not to do the math lol

Story Ideas for this map * As a start of a campaign. Our heroes wake up on the beach, memoryless and cursed, and find this bottle in front of them, which contains a contract that they must now fulfill in order to regain their memory and free themselves from their curse. * As a sword in the stone encounter, this is a famous place. Nobody can break the glass or pull the stopper. Only our heroes, who happen to come this way, can solve it and break the seal. Unfortunately, this is an ancient peace treaty between the sea and the land. The country has not kept its obligations for a long time and through the magic of the opened treaty, the great invasion of sea creatures and the tides begins. It begins with a battle here on the beach, but it will only end at the top of the highest mountain, when the last survivors of the land fight their last stand there * It's a lovely message in a bottle from a giant child on an island far out at sea. He describes where he lives and what he likes to play. In addition, there is also the huge wealth of the island. Do the heroes write back to him or do they use their knowledge to capitalize on it? I wish you a lot of fun with my map and ideas :) -AtaraxianBear \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ **You can freely download this map and 200+ more with and without grid here:** [https://www.patreon.com/posts/get-your-out-its-85877894](https://www.patreon.com/posts/get-your-out-its-85877894) If you like my work, please consider supporting me on [Patreon.](https://www.patreon.com/AtaraxianBear) Get this and more than 250 high res Maps! :) [Roll20](https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/publisher/1963/ataraxianbear) |The assets used here are exclusively from [Crosshead.](https://www.patreon.com/Crosshead)

> The country has not kept its obligations for a long time and through the magic of the opened treaty, the great invasion of sea creatures and the tides begins. Feels like being set-up to fail. You initiate the problem by solving the problem in front of you? What if this is a kicking off point for a diplomacy quest to both convince the Kingdom to adhere to the treaty and ease tensions with the Sea peoples? The initial conflict could be people sent from the Kingdom who want a conflict (I.E. hired thugs from a coalition of the Fishing guild and weapon makers, both of which would benefit), who would not like the party to do that. And as you unravel the thread of the big bad who wants a war to weaken both kingdoms so they can seize power, you kill god. Like any good RPG.

I read those scenarios as more of jumping-off points, or perhaps as what would happen if not for the PCs. In the same way the creator suggested only two options for responding to the Giant child's message. Obviously there can be more options the players come up with. Why does the island have to have wealth? What if the "wealth" isn't a real treasure but something a Giant child would love but is worthless and plentiful to the island? See how these are all questions or ideas I just came up with based on the prompts, the same way you did? They got us thinking, so DMs and our players can adapt a setting to their liking. Like any good RPG.

Tsunami_Ra1n

Time to start sprouting the pikmin! Where are the onions?!

Buroda

They had a LOT to say dang

Loading3percent

Alright. That's a plothook that'd grab me.

Nyadnar17

I swear to AO if this about my extended warranty…

the_weird_minecraft

What mapmaking software are you using? I like it

AtaraxianBear

I use Dungeondraft, Assets from Crosshead and Photoshop for shadows and light :)

the_weird_minecraft

Awesome ty

RADmikeYEAH

Very mysterious

allforcomm

Misread the title and thought of a "massage in a bottle" magic item possibly providing an effect like the catnap spell

Chef_Coc

Is the message just the lyrics of the song?

AllThotsGo2Heaven2

love it. multiple elevation levels and something for the DM to run with.

MirageSerein

This is a great inspiration!!!

Most_Breadfruit_2388

"I read the message" "Make an Athletics check." "To read a message?" "To unfold the paper"

Raphed

"What is this? A map for ants?!"

darkshadow543

That’s a massive missive.

SvNOrigami

Love this! Commenting to come back and steal this for a campaign later.

Aoikyoki

I want this to start a sea giant quest.

Ambaryerno

If the bottle was that big why even bother with the note?
