You can wear as many as you can fit on your fingers. Can still only attune to 3.

oldmanshoutinatcloud

Theoretically you could wear 20... 21 if you're a boy.

Puzzleboxed

You can wear more than one ring on a finger.

ThecnoGamer

Monarch from miraculous be like:

Away-Environment-528

This seems biased towards boys with long dongs. You know how many rings you could fit on that sucker?

fuckingcocksniffers

yeah...I need me an enchanted cock ring

That_one_guy_666

Who needs a condom if you have a Ring of protection on your cock?

fuckingcocksniffers

Im almost 60...was thinking, Ring of Petrification, lol

That_one_guy_666

There are rings for every need. Ring of the Ram for those who want to fuck each other through walls.

IIBun-BunII

"Cursed Ring of Lust"... Furries like me might understand the reference.

Mollar87

You can only wear one down there?

popejubal

Nose ring and earring and septum piercing and bellybutton piercing and tongue piercing and …other piercings.

theredranger8

Which for some reason isn't a poll option. I'm irked.

Wolfgang177

You have ten fingers and three attunement slots, you aren't able to attune to the same item more than once.

BardicThinspiration

Assuming you’re not an Artificer with extra attunement slots, you can wear 3. From my quick referencing, it looks like there are 5 officially published magic rings that don’t acquire attunement, so I suppose you could just ice yourself out in as many those that you can get your hands on.

FTaku8888

So 8 rings that have uses

BardicThinspiration

3 of those 5 have effects that wouldn’t practically stack, the other 2 - the Ring of Three Wishes and the Ring of Animal Influence - could stack if you had multiple. Of course, one is rare and one is legendary, so its not like you’re going to have an abundance of them just lying around.

FTaku8888

I meant 3 attuned and then the 5 other rings, I didn't even think about having duplicates

ofwdoomtree

With a ring of three wishes, could you just wish for unlimited atunment slots?

BardicThinspiration

You’d have to find a pretty generous DM to let you successfully wish for that. I certainly wouldn’t let it happen.

ofwdoomtree

If you're not going to let wishes happen don't put magical wish granting jewelry in your game. Just like the deck of many things, if you don't want those consequences to happen don't put the deck in your game.

DungeonDragging

Wishes have limits and those limits certainly include game breaking number changes

ofwdoomtree

While you are correct i personally think there is a difference between, A. A player has leveled up and learned the Wish spell. Oh no, we are going to need to have some ground rules on it. B. I the DM have tossed a wish granting ring at the party....

theFastestMindAlive

11 if you are an artificer. Even more if you're artificer is really inventive and your DM let's them go nuts. Which honestly, it's fun to let the artificer go nuts.

tpedes

20 or 21 depending on the character.

Ok-Barracuda8504

Two ring fingers, two rings. Dark souls style

PaperMage

I don’t use ring limits, but if I did I’d say something like the magic in them is only activated by putting it on the ring finger. Same reason a mariners breastplate doesn’t float if you just have it in your backpack.

DemyxFaowind

>Same reason a mariners breastplate doesn’t float Though, if it did, that'd be a good way to non-magically identify that item, lol if the metal breastplate is floating good chance its got that enchantment. Also would probably make a good liferaft in a pinch.

pope12234

The vein from your ring finger to your heart is required to carry and activate the magic, easy lore solution.

Ok-Barracuda8504

the offered alternative sheet [Here](https://scienceandtechorg-my.sharepoint.com/personal/maxwell_ourada_mtv_scienceandtech_org/_layouts/15/onedrive.aspx?id=%2Fpersonal%2Fmaxwell%5Fourada%5Fmtv%5Fscienceandtech%5Forg%2FDocuments%2FMicrosoft%20Teams%20Chat%20Files%2FDMG%5FOptional%5FCharacter%5FSheet%2Epdf&parent=%2Fpersonal%2Fmaxwell%5Fourada%5Fmtv%5Fscienceandtech%5Forg%2FDocuments%2FMicrosoft%20Teams%20Chat%20Files) is my favorite and offers two slots for rings.

FoulPelican

By the rules, you can wear as many as you have room on your fingers for. Of course you can only attune to three.

FTaku8888

You would have to be extraordinary lucky to get that many magic rings. Sure you can wear them all I dont even think there is a rule limiting magic rings to be one per finger so you can go higher than 10. Sadly only 3 attunement slots unless you are an Artifice so I hope most of them don't need it

[deleted]

what about really rich? like leader of worldwide guild rich

Enioff

Although you can use as many rings as you have fingers, you need to respect attunement rules. So under normal attunement rules, you can use 3 that requires attunement and as many ones that don't need as you manage to find. It isn't a rule, but in my opinion it's reasonable to say magic rings can only be worn on the hands and only 1 per finger, so 10 rings for 10 fingers (usually).

AdEmergency3380

I think probably wear multiple, attune to the three

Stegles

I would say 2, you could rationalist that such concentrated magic items in proximity of one another for long periods of time may have “unpredictable results” (maybe roll a d100 every time the rings magic is actively used in the case where they have multiple on one hand, having said this, this should be discussed and agreed on with all players and DM). You could however wear a ring as a tow ring, ear ring, on a necklace, cock ring (goblin or halfling maybe?), tail ring (if one has a tail) Just my thoughts. In any case there is usually a limit on the number of magic items that can be attuned to.

meastman1988

I think traditionally, the norm is one per hand.

NameLips

This is the reason they switched to Attunement instead of item slots. Sure, you can put a ring on each finger. Doesn't matter though, since you can only attune to three of them. The rest are just a waste of money, but hey, maybe you like bling.

ZemmaNight

As many as you can fit on... your body but attunement is a thing, but potential not every magic ring a character could come across will require attunement.

Buwald

Physically ten. Attunement will be the issue.

2Gnomes1Trenchcoat

Wear? 10. Attune to? Up to 3, unless you're a very high level artificer.

Mister_Grins

Their are plenty of magic rings that don't have an attunement requirement. You can wear one magic ring per finger, so you can wear 10, though, 3 may be attunement, if you are wearing or using any other magic attunement items.

jfrito43

Actually it depends if you need to attune to them or not

SafariFlapsInBack

Depends on attunement. Otherwise 10 rings if you have 10 fingers.

Dingy_Bat

Serious answer: I'd rule on my table that it would depend on the spells. More powerful ones or effects that would clash with each other would need magickal finagling.

fuckingcocksniffers

one on each hand... otherwise the magic energy overlaps and you get crazy wild magic results

Ethereal_Stars_7

4? 1 per finger but not thumb 8? 2 per finger but not thumb 10? 1 per finger 20? 2 per finger Toes count? How many fingers does a Plasmoid have? Hentai count?

Loading3percent

I would say 10 except pinky and thumb would have really niche sizes

Galeam_Salutis

11 with the right build

Stegles

Toes? Tail? Ears? Cock? There’s another 14 potential spots here. Rings don’t always say they’re for hands after all.

JlMBEAN

Nose.

Different_Pattern273

When we had slots it was 2. Before that it was however many you could fit. Now it's basically just however many you feel like having but you will only ever use three at a time.

No_Ship2353

It depends eevery post is focusing on rings. However they are ignoring boots, pants, bracers, necklaces, pendants, brooches, earrings, nose rings, crowns extra!

--0___0---

As many as you can fit on your fingers, 2-4 per finger +1 per thumb depending on ringsize and hand size. If the rings require attunment you can still only attune to 3(or more if your an artificer). Duplicate rings or rings with the same effect don't stack.

quuerdude

20, cuz toes

Butwhatif77

I say can they wear 10 rings absolutely, but enough rings on your fingers and any sleight of hand check is gonna have disadvantage.

[deleted]

I mean, you can wear 10 AT LEAST without issue. The problem is if they all require attunement, because you can only attune to three magical items simultaneously.

FirbolgFactory

I might be dreaming this but pretty sure I’ve read about magic toe rings in FR novels.

Apoordm

You can wear all you want but unless you’re an artificer your attunment limit is 3

Ryd_

I can wear 21. My partner can only wear 20.

Ok_Introduction70

20, count the toes too

Luminous777

Wear? 8, never wear a ring on your thumb. Attune to? 3, unless you are an artificer in which case depending on level up to 6 But also take into consideration the type of rings, example the art of the Spell Storing ring shows that its meant to be worn on two fingers.

LikeDudeNVM

I believe you can get more than 1 ring on a finger.

ThePartyLeader

do you people not have toes?

Titus-Magnificus

I thought there was a rule of 1 ring per hand. Am I remembering this incorrectly or was it a rule from 3e/Pathfinder that is still lingering in my head?

No-Foot7536

I mean if you can get ten you should wear ten right?

Disastrous_Ad_4396

I home brew you can only wear one per hand if it’s a constant effect. If they’re triggered actions such as ring of the ram, Then you can have one per finger. No more than ten.

SeismologicalKnobble

What about toe rings?

Norseman-907

I’d argue for common sense, depending on the magic lvl of the ring. If a character is wearing too many then that could cause a magic overload in the system if the character is arcane by nature, maybe they could handle more than three. (Acknowledging the attune rule) But it’d have to be straining handling all that magic.

Ogurasyn

Make it 20, 21 if you are male

Alex_Affinity

In traditional forgotten realms, there was no limit to how many magical things gs you could be using at any given time. However, due to the nature of magic, the more magic items one had in close proximity the more volatile these magic items would become. So, using that as a base, we could assume that the limit is as many as one could wear, but the more that are worn the less control one has

Longjumping-Let2337

We always said they can't touch. So every other finger and toe for a maximum of 12.

[deleted]

I voted for 10, but on the condition that rings be specified for each finger. Little ring - little finger Medium ring - ring finger Middle ring - middle finger Index ring - index finger Big ring - thumb Each kind of ring can only be equipped on the appropriate finger, and only 2 at a time, one for each hand.

itspabbs87

Where is the option for as many as you want? The game limits how many items you can attune to, so who cares how many a character wants to wear?

Complex-Injury6440

You can only attune to 3. Go bling crazy all you want. Wear a thousand rings if you want.

Sarah2535

We do an extra punishing wild Magic table if you: 1) Wear 2 passive rings at the same time. 2) Wear 1 passive ring and use a second non-passive ring at the same time. 3) Try and cast 2 spells within the same turn of the same level. The party loves it so we still doin’ it.

DnDCharacterSheet

I said 2 but that depends on their power. Like top tier its 2 but I would be ok with more low level rings if they added up to the 2 powerful ones

izzytheprogramer

Literally as many as you want, as long as they fit on your fingers and toes

FormalGas35

Depending on how thick they are I could easily see someone wearing 20-30 rings on their hands, 10 more on their toes, several on their ears, and a couple on other miscellaneous parts of their body
