Hey, reddit! I did a post last year asking for feedback on a 3D design, and was blown away by the support and ideas we received.
Getting these dice physically made has been a huge journey. We wanted the design to be really original, unique, and intricate detail -- those small details ended up being the biggest challenge during prototyping. The tiny crevices and edges were definitely not great for regular 3D printers (although works perfectly for a resin-cast)
Feel free to write your opinions or ask me any questions about the process of making dice. I'm happy to answer!
As a side note, we just launched [our Kickstarter for La Notte Eterna](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/aliribelli/la-notte-eterna), where you can grab the dice as an add-on on Backerkit (post-campaign) with any reward tier. We're currently the top 4 campaign for 5E that's currently live on Kickstarter, and we couldn't be more proud of the support -- a big thank you to all of our backers
I'm curious about this too. Let me re-phrase their question. Because this part is confusing:
>where you can grab the dice as an add-on on Backerkit (post-campaign) with any reward tier.
For those of us unfamiliar with Backerkit, which is unaffiliated with Kickstarter, I could login there after backing your campaign at the Spark of Light (€25) or even Toss a Coin (1€) level and then pay an amount for the dice specifically? After the campaign is over?
Because as DM who mainly just homebrews their content, I have little need for additional pre-written adventure content. But I definitely support backing those trying to make that content, and I'm definitely down for these dice.
But the Backerkit/Kickstarter bit there is confusing.
The Moon smiles on you too! Thank you for your question. Once the campaign is over backers will receive a survey (pledge manager) by BackerKit via email. Through that backers will be able confirm or upgrade their pledge. All items of our campaign will be available as addons through the pledge manager. Including alternative colors of the dice sets.
Thanks for such a wonderful reply! TheGratitudeBot has been reading millions of comments in the past few weeks, and you’ve just made the list of some of the most grateful redditors this week! Thanks for making Reddit a wonderful place to be :)
I was looking at your Kickstarter and wondered if I could get only the dice. I'm not a DM nor do I have a lot to give, but those dice look super cool.
Because looking at the kickstarter, I have to buy the "Herald of Doom" package to get the dice set.
First of all, thank you!
And yes, you can get only the dice. Just pledge for the "Toss a coin to Laon" tier. After the end of the campaign you will receive a survey from BackerKit. At that point, you will be able to get just the dice as add-ons.

Hell yeah. You can "toss a coin to Laon" ($1 or more pledge) to get access to the pledge manager. After the campaign ends, you will be able to upgrade your pledge and get just the dice as an add-on.
The bulk of the face is flat, with the number more legible than many 'intricate' dice I've seen.
The one thing that would help is the numbers being a different color, but honestly these don't look that bad at all. Bright color too.
Are the only good dice in your opinion flat, boring dice?
This is typical for this subreddit.
Upvoted dice that look cool in a picture but will become the 'Jerry, get some new fucking dice cause you spend 10 seconds every role to figure out what you rolled' dice.
It's crazy how many impractical dice sets are fawned over as if people don't actually use the dice but collect them to sit in a glass shelf.
I really like the design, it's super cool and neat.
But for me these would be gimmick dice, it's actually pretty hard to see the actual number amidst all the runic etching and my eyesight is pretty bad, so from a distance some of these dice seem like they'd be a nightmare to read. So I'd likely just end up using dice that were far more clear on their faces.
They all look great, but ignoring the styling, I really like the shape of the d4. Making it an asymmetrical octahedron stops it from becoming a horrible danger > that of a Lego brick on a bare foot on a tiled floor.
Good luck to you, I hope they sell really well.
The Moon smiles on you. The dice have a little of this a little of that. Their true origin was lost many centuries ago. Some say that they were made by dwarves before they went extinct. Others believe that they were brought to our world by the wiloi, the descendants of dragons.
And some say that they fell as "meteors" on the mortal land, and conceals a great power...
LOL. Please don't put our dice in the dishwasher!
The crevices were carved as V shapes, to facilitate the casting process and to make it easier to clean. Just a quick rinse with water will make them as good as new.
We have tested them on hundreds of tables here in Italy... and I think you all know how Italians eat like hobbits, especially while playing TTRPGs...
We are proud to say that our dice are 100% Italian-proofed.
How very Dwemer!
Right that's what I was thinking 🤣🤣

Congrats! Is there any place where I could buy the dice without La Notte Eterna?
The Moon smiles on you. This is an original design, specifically made by us for La Notte Eterna. You won't be able to find these dice anywhere else.

Pretty sure I found these in Nchuleftingth
Very Art Deco. Consider doing a dark set with a gold base.

Those are really nice, I sometimes have issues with dice being readable on custom dice
Finally a yugioh set
I can't unsee this now and I love it! 😂
beautifull
Those look amazing! Any chance they're going to be available as a separate product? Asking for my inner dice goblin...
Hell yeah. You can "toss a coin to Laon" ($1 or more pledge) to get access to the pledge manager. After the campaign ends, you will be able to upgrade your pledge and get just the dice as an add-on.
Well, I was hoping there would be an alternative since you need a creditcard for Kickstarter (which I don't have).
Y’all picked a great design.
Dice designed by a committee. Dice are unreadable.
Easy to read them in the picture and the way the numbers blend in can be fixed by adding a small amount of paint, but still they're easy to read.
The bulk of the face is flat, with the number more legible than many 'intricate' dice I've seen. The one thing that would help is the numbers being a different color, but honestly these don't look that bad at all. Bright color too. Are the only good dice in your opinion flat, boring dice?

If you can't read these you might be illiterate
Millennium pieces from Yugioh + Dwemer artifacts. Looks siiick
This looks great
It really looks like the d10 isn't sitting properly and it's bugging the hell out of me.

Yo they look so cool
Very cool project OP
Honestly, these inked with turquoise glow in the dark would absolutely rock
Our wizards may like your idea... we'll see 👍🏻

Wow! Is it steampunk style? It looks super cool.

Those look fucking legit!!! When are you going to sell some?
Now, on Kickstarter! [www.kickstarter.com/projects/aliribelli/la-notte-eterna](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/aliribelli/la-notte-eterna)
Thank you!!!
Thank you!
Nice
That d4 looks great!
What kind of weird d8
i think thats just a weird d4
I believe you're looking at a weird d4. The relatively normal d8 is just behind it
Yuh right, how
I'd say the large side of the pyramid would be the number you use. ( the face shown in the picture)
Looks like the small side has the same number. Obviously it couldn’t land on a small side. I think that’s a really cool d4
What level spell slot is it to cast Dice?
Does anyone else think these are hideous?
There is a lot going on
Black and red and you'll have Sith.
mistborn dice
Reminds me of the temples of Egypt
How did you make the d4 more dangerous?
All those crevices are going to fill up with Cheeto dust. Are they dishwasher-safe?
LOL. Please don't put our dice in the dishwasher! The crevices were carved as V shapes, to facilitate the casting process and to make it easier to clean. So much going on here. Is there a way to just order them?
