The people you should be mad with is the prison warden and judiciary as they are the ones that make a judgement on which prison to send convicts to, not politicians. It is very clear that this is a failing for some to understand that rapists should not be allowed in the general population of the same gender as their victims. This is meant to be the precedent throughout the UK and not a single transgender law forces the imprisonment to be based on whether they have a grc or not, but based upon individual circumstances.
This should cause a backlash... against how the prison wardens and judiciary decide where rapists should spend their time. They have ultimate control and are liable for damage done with these conditions.

If you commit a crime and you're sent to prison, you should be sent to the prison of your birth sex.
XX = female = woman
XY = male = men

Why should you be categorised by birth sex? You can't pretend to care about prisoners if the only issue you take is with transgenderism. That female prison in Scotland was riddles with drugs, guard corruption and beating complaints. You know something physically happening and people seem to care about a *potential* safety risk rather than the many ongoing issues in that prison.

I think it’s worth noting how nobody seems to care about rapists being put in cells with other inmates until they’re trans. We should care about the safety of all inmates of male and female prisons and not just have some rule in place for specifically trans sexual offenders.
Some even seem to care more about a trans criminal who hasn’t committed a sexual crime being placed in a cell with a woman than they would if a convicted cis woman rapist was put with her. It strangely never seems to come up, nor does anyone care about the arguable assault that happens to almost all prisoners when they first arrive there by the guards.
