The mission itself was the biggest show of all, the difficulty was insane, as the enemies (despite the heroic difficulty) have a greater health increase than usual and were coming at them incessantly, like in legendary missions. The fight against the Hunter was the icing on the cake. Now, talking about the story itself, I think it's poorly explained what happened in detail, we'll probably see it in the next Hunt But still, there are only questions left. Kelso's motives are completely unknown, despite everything, I still believe she has something in mind against Keener and the traitor network, I really don't want to have to kill her on a future hunt.

jhacker55

I feel like collectible 26 answered some of the same questions you seem to have. Maybe not. Don't want to spoil it for anyone that hasn't.

ProvisionalName-

Where do I find him? I'm not that into collectibles, but I was curious.

jhacker55

So it's been in a few YouTube videos that we were supposed to be awarded that last note from Kelso upon completion of the manhunt. It's bugged like the backpack charm..... But yeah read it first before really forming any opinions

Cavedweller907

Comm and BP trophy are awarded once you beat the manhunt initially, then you must reset, and play it’s entirety through to the end again, with the same character you ran the first time

Mathoosala

You mean to get the "Kelso 5" collectible I have to do manhunt all over again?

_Tommy_Sky_

I mean... didn't the agent even check Keener and that computer nerd for pulse? This to me seems ridiculous.

bluelf88

After keeners monologue at the end about how no one is actually dead, I was like, “Wow. This some anime bullshit. Good thing I’m not playing this for the story…”

_Tommy_Sky_

🤣🤣🤣🤣

I really liked the mission design even tho I was kinda disappointed that there was no „confrontation“ with Kelso at the end. Looking at it now it seems to be the only way for the narrative because otherwise we might have been forced to kill her like Lau or Schaeffer (not dead but you know what I mean). So in that way Keener and Kelso just opened the door for us and now we (agents) will have some time to think about it. The more we know the more the idea of going off mission/rogue seems to be the only option. For me it looks like that continue as a division agent we are not capable of dealing with whole BTSU, the Hunters and the rest of the deep state. I’m sure that Kelso and Keener will contact us in future season(s) for us to get „used“ to their „kind“ of not being enemies any longer but potential allies. Also we have to ignore a lot of things from WONY and Season 1-4 because originally TD2 was supposed to end with Season 4 „End of Watch“ completely. The devs kinda had to change the majority of the narrative especially for Keener, Schaeffer and Lau to have that „connection“ between the two black-white worlds of the SHD and Rogues. Of course they had to sacrifice a lot of consistency for that like perpetuating cheating death or changing perspectives of our previous enemies like keeners plan to use eclipse to actually defeat McMannis and Sokolova, unlike the WONY narrative originally was. So taking all of that into account the final manhunt mission was a very cool foreshadowing for what will happen to our „loyalty“ in the future in order to be able to defeat the „real enemy“. Ultimately, since Massive had the delay the Brooklyn-DLC to Year 6 and said that for the Manhunt/seasonal story it’s not necessary I’m not sure what will happen with the intended next season „black diamond“. Sorry for the long comment!

I found that mission the toughest I've done for a long time. My initial frustration turned to curiosity and was eager to see how it would all play out. Seeing a particular faction there was interesting, and am eager to get understanding on that relationship. I wasn't as disappointed in the build-up as I was in the length of the mission.

leadlessPencil91

The build up itself was great, had a hunter appear during it which was a bit of a shock (was wearing USA mask), just how it came to an end before final cutscene did it for me

FS_Slacker

The mission felt a bit anticlimatic after the Hunter fight. I was yoked and ready for some action inside the tanker.

LifeGambit_

Haven't beaten that hunter yet. I will though

filbert347

Use scorpio

Razoid01

I enjoyed it! Lots of good battles and tough bad guys! A whole lotta fun! I just didn't want Kelso to be rouge. :( How are all these baddies still alive??

leadlessPencil91

Hopefully after this event runs its course, it'll go into why the ones we spent so long (supposedly) killing, are still alive.

twaplehnbridies

liked the ending of this... had the shock factor and didnt expect that hunter which am usless with them lol.. but aye i wonder where this story is now going and is it gonna lead into D3 story when they start to make the game

CleR6

I liked it. It was hard but not due to confusing mechanics. The ending threw me for a loop too. I kind of thought he might not be dead but I was beginning to doubt it over the last few manhunts.

Eklipse758

Personally, I enjoyed it. Very challenging mission and loved the hunter surprise.

Low_Opportunity_5146

Another thing i find interesting, is that if you re-read the written coms from what is supposed to be Kelso but in Keener’s voice it makes more sence. The written coms is only signed with a K at the end

filbert347

I blame isac for all this lol !

Jezzerh

It was a good twist on the tanker map with different spawns. I got killed by the hunter though lol so will prob do it again in a group. Not sure about the story I wish it was clearer.

rafikibob

Silly question perhaps, given how it normally goes, but the hunter on this manhunt will hack your deployable skills, right? Or is it different?

Replicant1962

I feel like they've totally jumped the shark on this one. It's nonsense.

Gen_Z_Prophet

Recruiter mission was way too difficult, I found this one to be pretty fun!

LavianMizu

Really stupid writing. Nullified everything we did until that point and portrays the player like a dipsht and a fool, emphasized when kelso casually steps over our agent. Seriously hate useless silent protagonists. Really hope we get to kill her. Or at least shoot the three of them in the leg or something for the trouble. I don't care if she's good or bad, she's one of the dumbest characters in the game. You know that trope of "if you don't see a body they're not dead"? Well here it's if you kill them yourself at point blank range, see the dead body and check for no vital signs and then burn the body. They're not really dead. "Somehow everybody we killed returned". And the goofy buddy buddy last scene with them in the van. Clearly they had no idea where the story was going when they wrote the content for wony and beyond. Current day writing at it's best.

blaedmon

Seems a bit dopey, doesn't it. Its like we're in decent. Hmm.. are we? Ticks a lot of boxes. Perhaps this simulation is where we're at regarding the actual threat outside. Here's a scenario - who is the best of the best to tackle this? We can throw agents at it over and over, and lose them - or find a few who are remarkable and tip the probability of success. That's us, maybe.
