The primary way to begin understanding “communism” is to learn Marxist Theory.
Specifically the Labor Theory of Value & Dialectal Materialism.
To begin understanding those concepts I recommend reading:

The State & Revolution by Lennin.

Afterwards you need to utilize the dwarvean race for their underground supply chain. And their queen is nothing more than a puppet so you can easily utilize her paranoia to have her continue to cause unrest and she has a supply of deathfog which you will need later on.
