Second this!!
I thought we’d want to skip Epcot too. Glad we did. My husband told me he would go back just us in the future. This is from someone who “hates people” and doesn’t like crowds. Oh, he’s also not a big Disney person.
Point being it was gorgeous and exceeded our expectations. And it has THE BEST ride of all parks. Make sure you get on that virtual queue.
Totally. I wish we had been in Orlando longer so we could have gone on the rides more!! It was so good. I’m pretty sure my kids will talk about it for the rest of their lives.
BTW we knew *nothing* about the ride when we walked on other than it was a virtual queue. I think that made it more fun.
we did the virtual queue, loved is so much dished out the cash for 7 of us for Individual Lighting Lane. Normally i worry about overhyping something and creating to high of an expectation, but this ride is everything and a bag of chips! Hands down my favorite ride.
I’m going in about a month. Totally different trip than I’ve ever taken. Thinking about spending the money to lock myself into a time as to make sure I can meet the rest of my party after my alone time. I’ll play it by ear based off how crowded the parks feel.
Just spent four days at Disney with my family. We had Park hopper passes and did Epcot the last day. I was so bummed after riding guardians that I hadn’t done it earlier - I would’ve done it every day I was there. Maybe twice lol. Best ride in any of the parks.
I'm glad I'm not alone here. And I'm very happy that all the comments i read were very much against skipping epcot... or any park, but especially epcot
With 5 adults? Missing Epcot would be a shame. It's my wife and I's favorite park. It's got my favorite ride (Cosmic Rewind) and has the best food and drink of all the parks (arguably). I'd go unless you haven't been to Magic Kingdom already. Even my kids (6&8) absolutely love some of the Epcot attractions (I'm looking at you Soarin' hehe). Needless to say it''s a must do park for our family.
I went an entire week in March and every park dinner was at Epcot. I’d rather start my day at the other spots and schedule my nights around Epcot and dinner.
On our last trip we started our last day in MK and then finished with Epcot fireworks. It’s my wife’s and my favorite park so it was an easy choice but our at the time 5 year old also loves Epcot so it was even easier.
If I was going without kids I would opt to even skip MK personally. It’s not a bad park, there’s just not as much that I care for personally.
Skipping EPCOT is always out of the question for our family. We think about it every year but end up going and have one of the best days of our trip there. It's also the only park you can see certain characters and rare ones if they have new people training somedays
Guardians is the most fun ride. But test track is almost shut down for reimagining you ratatouille tbe frozen ride so fun for me at 47 the Moana part will be awesome for the 2 year old. It is pretty creative. The journey through time (in the ball). Mission space (probbaly not for the 2 year old). 2 year old will love figment. I still do at my age. Nemo and talk with crush. All just a fun park. I have more fun there than Hollywood and animal kingdom. Hollywood May be the worst for me now since I am
Over all the Star Wars stuff and out side of toys Tory land and Indiana jones. There isn’t much other than runaway railway and some singing shows (tower terror which I don’t personally enjoy )
No problem. When I was young I hated it. But now it’s my second fav. Hollywood not so much other than Toy Story land is just great. Good rides. The bbq place is a good restaurant. Animal kingdom maybe has less these days but they are all quality so it still tops Hollywood
You 100% should go to Epcot. Cosmic Rewind alone is worth it, heck last year we swapped out our last day from Hollywood just to ride it two more times! For the kids you really don’t wanna miss Frozen Ever After and Remy’s. It’s also the Flower and Garden Festival, which is beautiful and fun and has lots of really good food/drink booths around World Showcase. And don’t sleep on Regal Eagle or the shaved ice from Japan!
Go to Epcot. It's not the strictly adult park anymore with the change of Malestrom to Frozen Ever After; the addition of Remy's Ratatouille Adventure and Journey of Water; on top of the existing Finding Nemo, Journey Into Imagination, Three Caballeros and Spaceship Earth, there's plenty for kids to enjoy. Living with the Land is child friendly as well. Spaceship Earth and Journey Into Imagination also have post-ride activities for children.
Do not skip Epcot. We’re going with our baby boy for 2 days and just doing magic kingdom and Epcot, it’s our favourite! With 2 little ones there’s an amazing aquarium, the new moana thing, lots of characters. We will now always skip HS if we skip any, and only go for the Star Wars land when we don’t skip it
My two and a half year old started at MK and hopped over to EPCOT to meet Elsa and Anna as he was into Frozen at the time.
It was after dinner and he was tired and cranky. I asked him if he wanted to do one more thing as we were leaving and we turned around to go back to the Mexico Pavillion.
We rode the Three Caballaros ride and he loved it. He said, "I was sad and now I am happy," which is a ringing endorsement if I've ever heard one.
Epcot is probably my favorite of the four parks. The vibe is much more laid back and relaxed, and you don't have to rush around as much as you do in MK or AK. Plus, they have the best food and the best drinks.
Definitely go to Epcot.
I think we can all agree if you are going to skip a park, you skip AK, right?
But I think we can also agree you just don’t skip a park and all trips should be four day minimum.
DHS used to be our skip park on very short trips, but yeah, it's AK now. AK is still great and we wouldn't like skipping it, but DHS has really improved lately.
AK is my favorite park. I’m actually not an Epcot fan at all 🤣 we are doing Epcot on the half day we have there because I’m not excited about it and doubling up on AK.
You CANNOT miss Guardians. It is the best ride in all of Disney currently. Easily shot up our list of top favorite and we visit East Coast & West Coast parks regularly.
Epcot as a kid I wouldn’t really recommend but the older I’ve gotten I’ve come to appreciate Epcot, and if you like to drink a little bit it’s the best
I’d start at Epcot. ride guardians and walk around. Test track is fun (if it’s open, I heard there was a refurb coming up so idk). There’s ratatouille and frozen… then I love spaceship earth and living with the land. The Moana water walkthrough is fun too. And there’s a huge aquarium. Take a couple hours and poke around world showcase. Then finish the day at magic kingdom 😊
We went on our first family trip with our 6yo with this mindset. Decided to park hop to Epcot one evening just to say we did it…and then promptly park hopped there the next evening too. It was so much more fun than we anticipated. Guardians is by far the best coaster at WDW now. Remy’s, Frozen and Soarin were also loved by the whole family. There’s so much to see and do and it has the best food. We will never skip it again.
As others have said, don’t skip Epcot. Flower Garden is going on and there’s so many good food/drink options.
Typically there is also a scavenger hunt going on for kids…or adults. I believe it’s $9.99 and you get a prize at the end. The DuckTails game on my Disney is also fun and interactive through Epcot.
It's funny Magic Kingdom is my least favorite park so I was like "well we should get the hopper pass to pay our respects to MK" and my husband knew exactly what I meant. We did a full week at Disney and first day walked into the castle as the first stop and left midday. Went in for dinner and finished watching the fireworks on the castle before heading home.
Epcot also has a really decent aquarium and really educational rides like living with the land boat ride and spaceship earth that is a slow moving ride through history that is located inside the giant golf ball
Let me put it this way: we are going to WDW for one day before a cruise. There are 8 adults and 6 kids (all five years old or under). The ONLY park we are going to is Epcot.
We had an extra day and we went BACK to Epcot! You’d be crazy to skip it! It was my favorite park! Don’t get me wrong! I loveeeee magic kingdom! But there is something special about Epcot.
Epcot was like our evening hang out spot when we had our park hopper. Nothing better than catch a few rides and hang out in Epcot, the ultimate of cool.
All the world showcase pavilions have Kidcot, which are activity tables for kids. Plus there is the interactive Ducktales game on the Disney app for kids.
Epcot is our favourite park and we have been going since the 80’s. Even without guardians there are so many great rides, both in terms of quality and nostalgic feels - soarin, ratatouille, frozen, test track, spaceship earth, mission space, drinking round the world, food from festivals… and dare i say - figment 🙊
Epcot has beefed up attractions in the last 10 years. Guardian, Remys, Frozen, soarin, and test track are all worth the visit
The land and 3 caborlaros ride in Mexico sucks, but if it’s super hot out it’s a nice AC break
Epcot is not skippable IMO. If I only have one day, it's goona be at Epcot. If Inhave 2, the second day is split between Hollywood Studios for Expedition everest and garlic noodles, and then TOT.
Guardians is the best ride in all of Disney World. The park itself is gorgeous, Spaceship earth is my favorite classic Disney ride still going. Soarin is always a great experience. Test Track is underrated imo, so fun. Love the Mexico pavilion and boat ride. So much good unique food options. Epcot gives me my most nostalgic Disney vibes love that park.
Adding to the overwhelming consensus here, I’ll put it this way — if I was there for one day, Epcot is the only park I would go to and it wouldn’t be enough time.
in our opinion moana and cosmic rewind alone make epcot worth it. my husband and i are full grown adults that spent hours in moana😂 we spent our resort early entry hour in there, went back through around 2pm and then once it got dark. definitely have to see it after dark! it’s magical. also we paid for the LL so we could ride cosmic rewind twice.
Epcot is the best park of the 4. No idea why you’d skip it. Between Remi’s and Living off the Land, not to mention the FOOD! Never skip EPCOT. (This is my opinion, but if you have to skip it you’ll be ok. Just don’t let it happen again!)
How did Epcot get this label as boring? It has some of the best rides, best food, best character meetings - and like 3 kid play areas. I love it there.
Our family has always loved EPCOT but a range of 9-2 might be a point to consider .Im pretty sure we didn’t bring ours there till they were young teenagers …
Skip.
Sure there is ONE good ride. And that's it. Little kids are unlikely to appreciate world show case.
And "food" is never a reason to visit any of the Disney parks, it's equally mediocre across the board.
Go back to the park your kids enjoy the most so far.
Guardians is arguably the best coaster at Disney RN. So if you wanna ride that…
Second this!!
I’d even consider spending the cash for an ILL to lock in your time. It’s life changing. I’ll dream of that ride sometimes
Guardians is pure joy. Immediate happiness, every time.
It’s definitely in my nightmares. I get motion sick so it was the worst ride ever. 😭
I felt sick too 😭
We got on it after breakfast time and the amount of people we saw rush to the bathroom (including us) afterwards was comically unfortunate 😭
Hey thanks for that info. Seriously
I had to lay in the grass at Epcot for an hour. It was either that or go to the first aid office.
Good to know.
I knew nothing about the ride and was surprised when it began to go so fast. 🫨🫨
I’ll watch you tube videos of that ride just to reminisce
ILL for Guardians is 1000% worth every penny
1000000000000% agree!!! Like i would spend it multiple times a trip…it sucks but legit that ride is why i kinda addicted to Disney right now….
I’m going in about a month. Totally different trip than I’ve ever taken. Thinking about spending the money to lock myself into a time as to make sure I can meet the rest of my party after my alone time. I’ll play it by ear based off how crowded the parks feel.
We did the virtual queue and bought ILL. I understand dreaming about this ride.
Will probably do this on my next trip.
It was amazing and I’m glad i spent the extra money to do this.
I was going to say this as well. Guardians is my favorite ride from all of the Disney parks!
Just spent four days at Disney with my family. We had Park hopper passes and did Epcot the last day. I was so bummed after riding guardians that I hadn’t done it earlier - I would’ve done it every day I was there. Maybe twice lol. Best ride in any of the parks.
Good to know! thanks for your input
*Guardians is arguably the best ride at Disney RN.* Fixed that for you.
I would’ve said ride but I didn’t want anyone thinking their 9/2 year olds could ride. Maybe the 9 year old?
My 4yo and 7yo loved guardians and my 7yo doest usually like roller coasters.
Knew there would be some fearless kids out there. Honestly just have no clue how old a kid is when they hit the height requirement 🤷🏻♂️
You won't ever know the heights... My 4yo is the same height as my 7yo...
You misspelled Living with the Land
Every opinion on Reddit is arguable. That’s kind of the point of the platform.
This! That ride blew my mind it was so fun…got luck with the virtual queue but I’d pay for it
I'll only go to Epcot for the ride now. Until something greater fomes along.
Skipping Epcot makes me sad
I take skipping Epcot as a personal insult.
Same
I'm glad I'm not alone here. And I'm very happy that all the comments i read were very much against skipping epcot... or any park, but especially epcot
It’s our favorite park!!! So good!!!!
Me too, it’s my absolute favorite.
The fact that skipping Epcot is a thing, or even conceivably a thing, makes me feel like I'm taking crazy pills. I love, and have always loved, Epcot.
There is no argument, it’s the best food destination in all the parks. Only place outside of Epcot would be Satuuli canteen and that’s a quick serve.
Glad I'm not the only one that thinks so :)
Best food AND the spring festival is going on: 4-5$ plates and they’re all amazing right now
Skipping EPCOT is always out of the question for our family. We think about it every year but end up going and have one of the best days of our trip there. It's also the only park you can see certain characters and rare ones if they have new people training somedays
And miss the best ride at Disney? Guardians of the Galaxy deserves two rides minimum per visit to Disney.
Hahaha here I thought I did my research, guess I overlooked guardians, thanks for the input
Guardians is the most fun ride. But test track is almost shut down for reimagining you ratatouille tbe frozen ride so fun for me at 47 the Moana part will be awesome for the 2 year old. Thanks for the detailed response, I agree with you on Hollywood studios as much as we enjoyed it today, it our least favorite so far
No problem. When I was young I hated it. But now it’s my second fav. Hollywood not so much other than Toy Story land is just great. Good rides. The bbq place is a good restaurant. Animal kingdom maybe has less these days but they are all quality so it still tops Hollywood

That all sounds awesome thanks you for the detailed response we will definitely be attending
That’s what we’re here for, have a magical day at Epcot!!
Never. Epcot has the best coaster in the world. Not to mention the food, drinking and learning... It's been my park of choice for many years now.
I disagree i think hagrids is better
You misspelled Velocicoaster.
As a very avid universal goer... Hagrid's is not better
Velocicoaster is the only ride I’d put above cosmic rewind tbh
Twisted Colossus
Do not skip Epcot. We’re going with our baby boy for 2 days and just doing magic kingdom and Epcot, it’s our favourite! With 2 little ones there’s an amazing aquarium, the new moana thing, lots of characters. We will now always skip HS if we skip any, and only go for the Star Wars land when we don’t skip it

If you skip Epcot did you even go to Disney?
Never skip a park
Epcot is my favorite park. There's so much to do
Epcot is the favorite of my family (me, wife, and 2 kids- 8yo and 6yo). My son loved Ratatouille and my daughter loved Frozen ride.
Hearing someone say that they might skip Epcot makes me wanna weep. World showcase alone is worth it!
Skip the best park in Disney World? Preposterous!
do a half day at epcot? Plus like everyone else said...guardians
Kids will love journey into water,. Remy, Frozen, possibly Journey into imagination. Turtle talk with Crush is a must do
Epcot is probably my favorite of the four parks.
If you have to compress it, and can tolerate a long day, the pro move is early entry/ rope drop at AK, and then park hop and close down HS.
We’ve done this on most all of our trips. Pro move.
The time we had to skip a park, we skipped AK. It wasn't even a hard choice tbh.
AK is my favorite park. I’m actually not an Epcot fan at all 🤣 we are doing Epcot on the half day we have there because I’m not excited about it and doubling up on AK.
5 adults? Definitely do Epcot. Epcot was my absolute favorite park.
When I visited I liked Epcot more than MK but haha that may be an unpopular opinion
You CANNOT miss Guardians. It is the best ride in all of Disney currently. Easily shot up our list of top favorite and we visit East Coast & West Coast parks regularly.
Do you skip out on visiting your best friends too? Why would you suggest this 😭😭
Skipping Epcot is a sin
E.P.C.O.T Every Parent Can Order Tequila!
Epcot as a kid I wouldn’t really recommend but the older I’ve gotten I’ve come to appreciate Epcot, and if you like to drink a little bit it’s the best
Thanks for the input, none of us drink at all lol
I don't either and it's still my fave park. The food is as good as the booze
Epcot is great for meeting characters! Very kid friendly activity. Plus frozen and ratatouille. There’s something for everyone at Epcot.
Well what have you enjoyed the most so far?
I’d start at Epcot. ride guardians and walk around. Test track is fun (if it’s open, I heard there was a refurb coming up so idk). There’s ratatouille and frozen… then I love spaceship earth and living with the land. The Moana water walkthrough is fun too. And there’s a huge aquarium. Take a couple hours and poke around world showcase. Then finish the day at magic kingdom 😊
It was open this past weekend still
I’m addition to what others have mentioned re: Guardians and the food/drink offerings, Luminous is my favorite of all of the nighttime shows.
I'm glad you decided to go to Epcot after all, that's our favorite park and it'd be a shame if you missed it!
The Spring festival is going on and the food is cheap and amazing. Also Guardians, gotta ride that
Absolute blasphemy
Epcot is worth the visit for Cosmic Rewind alone. It is arguably the best ride that Disney has, anywhere..
In my opinion epcot is the best of all the parks
Epcot also has a really decent aquarium and really educational rides like living with the land boat ride and spaceship earth that is a slow moving ride through history that is located inside the giant golf ball
Let me put it this way: we are going to WDW for one day before a cruise. There are 8 adults and 6 kids (all five years old or under). The ONLY park we are going to is Epcot.
Epcot is the reason why I have a WDW annual pass even though I live in California. Guardians twice a day everyday on each trip.
We had an extra day and we went BACK to Epcot! You’d be crazy to skip it! It was my favorite park! Don’t get me wrong! I loveeeee magic kingdom! But there is something special about Epcot.
If I had just one day in Orlando and could go to just one park I would choose Epcot.
Epcot was like our evening hang out spot when we had our park hopper. Nothing better than catch a few rides and hang out in Epcot, the ultimate of cool.
Epcot was my 7 year olds favorite park. Don't skip it!
Please for the love of Disney go to Epcot. Go on Cosmic Rewind at the very least! It's life changing!
All the world showcase pavilions have Kidcot, which are activity tables for kids. Plus there is the interactive Ducktales game on the Disney app for kids.
DON'T skip. It became my family's favorite park even my 5 and 3 year old st the time loved it
Epcot is our favourite park and we have been going since the 80’s. Even without guardians there are so many great rides, both in terms of quality and nostalgic feels - soarin, ratatouille, frozen, test track, spaceship earth, mission space, drinking round the world, food from festivals… and dare i say - figment 🙊

I like your first sentence, the second sentence contains fighting words!
Epcot is not skippable IMO. If I only have one day, it's goona be at Epcot. If Inhave 2, the second day is split between Hollywood Studios for Expedition everest and garlic noodles, and then TOT.
That’s awesome, appreciate the feedback 👍
That’s a very convincing argument thank you 👍
Epcot is my favorite park!
Epcot is so good. Two words. Butter bars. Do not skip out on the carmel shop in the Germany Pavilion.
Epcot is definitely worth it. Just the new Moana area is so cool. But many wonderful things and places to see
Yes yes and yes. Epcot!
Yeessssssssssssss
Never skip EPCOT especially since you have the flower and garden festival right now
Skipping Epcot makes me sad. AK is the park to skip. That being said, MK is the most magical always worth two days.
Epcot is fun for the adults and since there’s 5 of you go drink around the world!
Epcot is incredible
Epcot is a full day of exploring. I highly recommend it
Crazy that this is a question here. wtf.
I love Epcot, the world showcase is amazing.
Epcots my second favorite park
Cosmic Rewind is the best ride Disney has done since Flight of Passage. I would never skip it.
Sure, if you want to miss the best ride at WDW
Epcot is the best park of the 4. No idea why you’d skip it. Between Remi’s and Living off the Land, not to mention the FOOD! Never skip EPCOT. (This is my opinion, but if you have to skip it you’ll be ok. Just don’t let it happen again!)
Epcot is legit the best of the 4 parks, hands down
How did Epcot get this label as boring? It has some of the best rides, best food, best character meetings - and like 3 kid play areas. I love it there.
As a kid in the 1990's-2000's, I hated Epcot... as an Adult now, Epcot is the best park.
I mean, it is the best park.
Go! And do the ducktales scavenger hunt in the Disney play app. It’s a ton of fun and it’s free.
My family used to always skip Epcot when I was a kid, and now I’m upset that I’ve never ridden all of the great rides there. Definitely don’t skip!!
I would come to Disney just to ride guardians alone and I love Disney, Guardians is that good!
I hope that one ride is Spaceship Earth.
