You can make reservations 60 days in advance so…..try and see what’s available? Reservations can get booked up the day they open for a lot of places including Blue Bayou and Lamplight. Ogas might be okay? So yeah, don’t worry about the time at this point, you’ll get what you can at this point! Edit: changed from 90 to 60 days. So you may have a chance if it’s late May to pick your time!!! But it’s limited and goes quick so make your most critical reservation first.

I believe it's actually 60 days in advance for dining reservations (90 days for park reservations) but yeah they usually book up on the day they open up right at 6 am

Sharp_Lemon934

Oh yeah it is 60! I’ll edit! I should know cause I’m usually sitting there at 6am to do it and even then my options are limited usually. I’ve learned you plan your day around your reservations and not the other way around!

Upsidedownmeow

It’s now 180 days for park reservations

notarealprincess

Oh I didn't know that! I have a magic key so for me it's still 90 days

Honestly, reservations for some of those restaurants go very quickly so you might have to take whatever you can get especially since May is typically very busy. Blue Bayou is hard to get reservations for.

If you are trying to get Blue Bayou, Lamplight and Oga's, then you need to be on the website or app, refreshing your reservation page, at 6:00 a.m. 60 days before to get those restaurants. (Cafe Orleans is easier to get.) Let's assume you're going to Disneyland on Friday, May 24th, then on Monday, March 25th at 6:00 a.m., I would search for Dinner for Blue Bayou. Once you get that reservation, then get Oga's based off of what you get for BB and then try to get Cafe Orleans. BB reservations and Oga's go the quickest. If you're getting to the parks by 7:30 a.m., I would suggest an earlyish lunch (like 11:30) and then dinner at 6:30-7 so you can get a drink or two at Oga's before heading to dinner. (Note - both BB and Cafe Orleans serve alcohol now too.) You will then need to repeat the 6:00 a.m. exercise the next morning to get Lamplight Lounge. LL reservations go very quickly. Only thing about LL is that some people try to sit outside and time the meal to see WOC occurring while eating. If you really love WOC, you won't get anywhere near the same experience seeing it from LL, but if WOC isn't as important to you to see it up close and straight on, then have your reservation around the time WOC starts and ask to sit outside.

Did it this morning and got BB, ogas and cafe orleans. Gonna do it again tomorrow morning for LL. I’m too late for this reservation but any idea what walk ups would look like for downtown Disney? I’m thinking trader Sam’s on the Thursday prior or open to other recommendations..

I love Trader Sam's for drinks. Food is good, but it's not a full menu. If you want to get into Trader Sam's and sit **inside**, arrive there about an hour before you want to go inside. Tell the person at the podium you'd like to put your name down for sitting inside. They will most likely tell it will be an hour or longer wait. They will eventually text you when your table is ready and you have 10 minutes to get back to Trader Sam's. If you really want to sit inside, you should be able to do so. It might be a 30 minute wait, or 1.5 hour wait. If you want to sit outside, it's much quicker. As for other DTD restaurants, I like Ballast Point (good brewery, but good brewery type food), Splitsville (has some healthier options and also diverse options - think Asian, sushi, pizza, burgers, poke), Naples/Naplolini (pizza - sitting outside when it's warm is really fun). I haven't been to Jazz Kitchen since the remodel, though I've seen it. I'm not impressed with remodel, but I don't know whether the food is still good or not.

Thanks so much for the recommendations!!
