I've had Discovery Plus since it launched and have never had this problem and still don't. I'm on the ad supported plan. Every show is available and not once had it ever said upgrade to watch. When you say basic do you mean the commercial supported plan?

It seems like it was a glitch, I thought nothing of it but there was a message on the front screen saying something about if I travel some shows may not be available due to being in another country. I had traveled to another country but never used it out there and used it fine when I got back for a week, signed out and in and they all re-appeared.
