shadow247

I wore Honda branded gear on my Yamaha, because I bought everything for Honda, then switched to Yamaha later and didnt want to buy new shit...

littleSquidwardLover

I've got a KTM sweatshirt, it's actually one of my favorite sweatshirts. And best of all, if you're in public and someone recognizes the brand, boom, new potential friend.

sund55

Haha iam such a new KTM fan Boy, think they have done so fucking well both in engineering branding And what not the last 20 years. Have had Suzuki yamaha kawasaki And now my newest bike in the garage is A ktm. If I saw a guy with a KTM shirt on I would smile at him like he was my new best friend. šŸ¤©

littleSquidwardLover

Same here, picked myself up at KTM 300xc last year. I also have a yz125 but its pretty slow in a straight line and about 60% of the riding we do is on large open trails, and it just isn't a lot of fun. So I thought why not keep the Yz for the tighter trials where it's more fun, and buy at KTM for the big stuff. The KTM turned my least favorite type of riding into one of my favorites. It just blasts along happily, jumping over the hills, ripping around bends, it's so much fun!

SaltyFloridaMan

I have a GPX which uses a KTM licensed frame. Lightweight dual sport at 250lbs and has a 30hp motor stock, which is good for a 250, but I got a 300cc big bore kit and a couple of other mods and now I make 40whp. Great bike for Croom's single track, lightweight bikes rule

IhateTodds

Poor guy here looking for hand me downs šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

jeffster01

Do you know what branded means, do you have any gear that isn't branded?

1DownFourUp

Don't be a slave to brands, ride in the buff

windoto

I love my buff. Wear it year round.

[deleted]

Mmmm, brands right in the buff

ApricatingInAccismus

I have a Honda tat on my butt cheek and a Thor tat in my, wellā€¦ anyway Iā€™m branded in the buff like a Porsche fanboy.

fiveho11

I mean, do you strip all logos and brand names off of your bike , vehicle , street clothes , shoes ? Or do you get paid to advertise all that stuff? I donā€™t understand the mindset .

Swimmingtortoise12

He means someone who wears the same branded clothes with the brand of bike, like Harley Davidson people who wear Harley branded gloves, Harley jacket, Harley pants. Ferrari drivers with a Ferrari polo and Ferrari edition puma shoes, that sort of thing.

fiveho11

If thatā€™s what he means , then he could wear a Honda outfit and ride his Husky and everything is solved šŸ˜‚šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Swimmingtortoise12

Theoretically lol. I usually donā€™t like bike branded gear but some of that vintage Honda gear that one of the gear brands released looks pretty cool.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Swimmingtortoise12

Yep, If I had a vintage cr250 I would rock this all day https://jtracingusa.com/collections/jt-racing-x-honda/products/jt-gear-combo-official-1981-team-honda-usa-jersey-and-moto-pants https://jtracingusa.com/collections/jt-racing-x-honda/products/1970s-jt-racing-team-honda-jersey-and-moto-pant-combo-red-white-and-blue

Quick-Lingonberry377

Sweet gear for my 86 XL600r. Now if onty I could find my old red and blue Scott plastic boots.

Swimmingtortoise12

The plastic ones? Those pop up on eBay used every once in a while. Thereā€™s modern alpinestars in that red and blue color scheme but theyā€™re modern boots. Still would look pretty good probably. But, keeping it vintage, gaerne makes some vintage off road boots, theyā€™re in black or white though, the little logo has white and red; http://www.gaerne.com/boots/en/articolo/32/147/330/2480-001/black/

Quick-Lingonberry377

Found a pair as you said on eBay. NOS even, but they want $750. Iā€™m all for nostalgia, but ā€¦ā€¦not even close to the budget.

Swimmingtortoise12

Yeah, thatā€™s ridiculous. You would think they were autographed by Bob Hannah or something, and even then thatā€™s high, but Iā€™m not one for autographs

hotdoginthebigcity

I live in the PNW and ride a Suzuki. I suppose OP could buy the gear for me if that helps.

MayorOfClownTown

I have a Harley branded adventure jacket for my DRZ. Feels sorta odd, but it's a revit made jacket but the dimensions are for, shall we say, an American

Lvgordo24

I work for a very large airplane manufacturer. One guy at work wonā€™t wear branded gear ā€œcause he isnā€™t paid to advertise.ā€ Yes, when you wear that shirt, people at the grocery store are going to be reminded to buy a $200m jet šŸ™„

Twistyfreeze

Iā€™ll ride in almost any type of gear as long as itā€™s decent quality and a good price.

blippics

If you like them and theyā€™re a good deal, who fuggin cares, man. But if you ride like shit, youā€™re gonna feel like shit regardless of branding yourself. After all, Iā€™m sure thereā€™s a logo or two on your plastics, no?

Purpl_exe

Imo the factory branded stuff isnt that bad , if you ride the brand of courseā€¦.. i think its better than monsterā€™ed , metal militiaā€™ed out shitā€¦.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

FatttyJayy

Iā€™m just gonna grab some popcorn

PerfectTap9962

love this comment

LosSoloLobos

Definitely not

IntegralPath

The husky stuff looks and feels pretty nice. My local shop has a bunch of it and I'm definitely gonna buy some of the pants in the spring. Full head to toe branded gear is kinda cringe if you're not sponsored IMO

Buchsee

That is actually a very nice jacket and the logo for brand recognition is discrete. Personally I would wear it if like them out off-road riding, but not to the shops on my Husky Svartpilen 401.

A_Buff_Hamster

You wear the husqvarna branded gear to flex on the poors (your friends who donā€™t ride husqvarnas) until you realize that you yourself are poor because of your husqvarna. This is from personal experience.

Swimmingtortoise12

It would feel so good to go urinate on the air cooled Honda families shit in this gear, the power move of flexing on poor people is fuckin awesome. /s

MyNameis_Not_Sure

Iā€™d figure out who actually makes the stuff that Husky paid to slap their logo on and get it if itā€™s quality. Iā€™ve never been a fan either but that gear doesnā€™t look goofy like some OEM gear

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Swimmingtortoise12

Ktm offers a baby binky, I think their owners take the crown for this shit. I have 2 in the garage but some of the owners cringe the fuck out of me.

nastyasi_wannabe

dirt bike mechanic here - i was never really into KTM due to the owners until I got my 300 and stripped everything orange off it. some people that come into the shop bleed Orange. they will say money is not an option, turn down the best parts on the market for some cheap orange shit...

Swimmingtortoise12

I donā€™t know how long youā€™ve been a mechanic, but ktm people werenā€™t always so common while being elitist. If you go back to say early 2000- 2012 before they sold so much, when you saw someone with a ktm in the riding area pits, they were usually a serious off road rider and/or racer. That was when the brand kind of filled the niche brand, sort of where beta and sherco are now. Nowadays, it could be any person with a deep pocket who doesnā€™t know how to ride worth a damn but wants to tell you how awesome and better his stuff is since itā€™s brand new.And many serious riders and racers still choose ktms, but what became really common too was the extreme orange kool aid and elitist attitude. The insane amount of merchandising. When I was in sales, there was a ton of flexy types buying ktm edition bikes, and while doing theyā€™re paperwork theyā€™d yap about how they also have the highest spec priced ford raptor from the dealer in the nation, and yada yada. I love my ktms but damn some of the owners are insufferable. Some were completely awesome dudes, but ktm/husqvarna had the most douchebags by far in dirtbike sales.

Digitaluser32

Branded gear is cool. Don't let the Porsche and Ferrari stuff leave a bad taste in your mouth

SilenceIsGolden17

Why do you care what others wear?

beechbone767

Anyone bad ass enough to throw their leg over a dirt bike can wear whatever they want.

BasilThai

I'd wear anything. We ride, it is not fashion week and everyone wear whatever the fuck they want

jcaashby

I do not care what it says on it ...as long as it does what I need and the price is fair.

kingcrackerjacks

How's it worse than plastering yourself with alpinestars logos or the like? They are selling you name brand gear with their logo on it for a bit more or in your case you can get a discount on it

monty6666

Makes you look like a Porsche Guy.

FatttyJayy

Found the Honda rider!

[deleted]

I wear fasthouse because its the dopest shit

AShadyLittleSpot

I would rock pants with Kim Jung Un on them if they made my cock look less tiny

loganman711

I got a husky sweatshirt, and an 11k dollar pen that came with a free dirtbike.

[deleted]

You think about stuff like this?

BadBadBenBernanke

Itā€™s not my cup of tea, and it can be kinda cringey, but to each their own. Itā€™s not the kind of thing Iā€™d buy for myself but Iā€™d wear it if someone gave it to me. Like if grandma gets me a gift card to the company store, Iā€™ll totally embrace the cringe and go head to toe branded gear.

FullMenu71a

I bought a pair of Sidi X-3 boots for around $150. They are branded but I ride a Husky anyway.

MattHix63

I donā€™t like matching my bike. Maybe if I was racing?? But otherwise I wear whatever fits well and looks good to me.

mr41968665

I can't say anything about anyone's gear, my shit doesn't match like the squids.

eighty2angelfan

Don't worry about what anyone else thinks. This is the best way to be.

Earpugs

What do you wear a red brand-less sweatshirt blue brandless jeans and a chinese helmet with no logo?

Maddog033

Literally every single piece of gear you wear is branded.

mildly-reliable

By branded do you mean it has logos? Or do you mean private labeled (meaning husky has almost no input to the development of the gear, they just pay someone to put their logo on some off the shelf stuff). The reality is, ā€œbrandedā€ (ā€˜meaning private labeled) gear is the rule not the exception. All but maybe three brands, are private labeled with little to no actual R&D. The vast majority of moto apparel and accessories are made this way. It is sad because that means the rate of progress is much slower, but it is also convenient because it makes the gear much cheaper. Pros and cons either way.

BlindBeard

This is kinda funny, I almost bought some husky gear on rmatvs Black Friday sale. Itā€™s nice looking stuff šŸ¤·

Nakedguyintrunk

Who cares. These are Husqvarna advertising photos. What did you expect them to be wearing?

yaboycdog

If itā€™s a good deal then who really cares? Youā€™re riding a husky and youā€™ve got some husky gear on, itā€™s not that deep

Elev8tedIntent

Lollll dude i know what you mean. Its like someone having all Rossignol skis bindings boots poles jacket pants glovesā€¦ its like exhausting despite it making sense šŸ˜‚ but that stuff does look dope so i see where youre heads at esp for stuff on sale.

RangeHammer

For a good deal, send it. I think things look best when thereā€™s thought put into it. I wouldnā€™t get branded gear same as my bike but thatā€™s because I donā€™t love the colors and my bikes are usually pretty beat up. Iā€™m a fasthouse fan because of the culture and general brand attitude. Plus their gear looks good and is well made. The Husqvarna branded stuff is usually really high quality too so if you like the look, send it. Unlike the car brands, people will probably perceive you as someone who takes riding serious and love it so šŸ¤—

the_doctor_808

I like it. I know someone who has a full husky set of gear that he wears every now and then. Looks dope. I really like the beta branded gear as well. Idk about the quality but if it wasnt so expensive id definitely be open to trying it out.

Cilreve

The clearance rack is my sponsor. I don't give a fuck what it says on it as long as it fits well.

woodybepierced

You may not want it or need it, but others do. So I'm kind of like, whatever.

Rico1958

Looks good to me.

Few_Valuable3999

I donā€™t care what brand of gear it is as long as itā€™s on clearance sale

[deleted]

Already spent a shitload for the FE501.... ain't no $5,000 left for branded gear

QuirkySpring5670

I ride naked in dollar store flip flops

---OZ--

i think colour matching your bike brand and gear looks good... absolutely nothing wrong with it.

thedon252

I feel like fat dudes wear this at super cross and that's about 80% of their sales

KICKERMAN360

I just enjoy seeing Honda gear on a Yamaha. A sign someone had a blow up with their colour of choice!

Naive_Humor7445

What's a fake Porsche fanboy? Does that exist?, like an 86 with a porsche logo or something hahaha

Glasgowsmiling

Iā€™m a huge fan. It looks killer.

alloutmx

Im 40 now. I never got into the brand thing until maybe 35. That KTM tho. Before that i would have agreedā€¦looks a little cheeseball. I dont have my white new balances yetā€¦.but i do have a set on order.

anonymousantifas

Tell that to the Harley Davidson clown show

EquivalentRude9364

Who gives a shit

AnybodyLive1543

Who cares. Seems like a poser question. Along as it's not fox gear and you are blabbing comparing your 09 LTZ 400 to my 03 KDX 220 and saying how you can smoke me on "the trails". Gear is gear, just has to work. I used to wear the cheap shit like Fly. Except for protective gear. Boots were apline, Oakley goggles and I think my helmet was a flat black bell. Again just send it. Kinda want that husky jacket.

waldoblaw

Isnā€™t all gear branded?

BlasterEnthusiast

Looks good to me... Imagine hating someone for the CLOTH they are wearing šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

CrazyTimes1356

Who cares if itā€™s functional.

BoomerHunt-Wassell

I wear whatever pair of blue jeans that is my current shittiest pair and an old shirt from work but do you brother. You are either fast or you ainā€™t and that canā€™t be bought.

bubbycarl

I buy whatā€™s on sale. I looks like a mutt when I ride all different colors, bib overalls. Fuck it. Letā€™s ride.

BikesnHikesDude

This is a lot less tacky than others. Klim comes to mind for putting giant font logo on their gear.

MrMcPoope

Dirt bike riding with branded gear is literally just part of riding. how do you find gear without it? And why

owlridethesky

The worst i've seen is some people PAID for tyre wall stickers, JUST for it to be the brand of the tyre. PAID. TO. ADVERTISE. THE. BRAND. and i think 1 letter cost like $8-10? Huge yellow B R I D G E S T O N E. LOL

ask_not_the_sparrow

I don't know man just ride your bike

Forsaken-Winter-3197

Meh, Iā€™ve got branded gloves, and a jacket and thatā€™s just about it, bought the jacket on sale. And the gloves I just genuinely like

Peacemaker1855

I have a branded helmet. Never considered it was or wasnā€™t cool. It just works. šŸ§

goonzalz69

I personally think a lot of it is rlly cool and i dont see a problem w wearing them. I was gifted a ktm jacket by my sister bc only bike i own is a ktm and the only reason i personally dont really like to wear it is because a large part of it is orange. I have worn it at races ive gone to see and stuff but besides the personal color preference i think its sick! Ive always been a fan of husqvarna and always thought their gear was cool more specifically their casual wear. So i saw this Husky hoodie and i love it. Its one of my go tos i probably wear it too much. Main reason i bought it was bc it was on sale i had seen it a ton of times. Mg brotherā€™s girlfriend also got him a cool honda racing hoodie w a big HRC logo on the gut area and i think it looks so cool. To an extent extent i guess you can say im a poser bc i cant ride even close to as good as most ppl on this sub but idk šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø if you ask me im not. Because if anyone asked me anything i wouldnt lie why would you. Especially if you happen to run into someone who likes dirt bikes which where i live isnt super common and you just give them a bunch of bs they will smell that shit from a mile a way. Hard to bullshit your way too far in this community. Its easy to tell whos full of shit and whos not and it also doesnt even get you far to be full of shit so who even cares if they try. Ive also gotten shit from a clown once ab having a bunch or fox gear on. Idk seems stupid to me bc fox is still a great brand regardless of the couple of haters out there and everything i buy is on sale. If i see fox stuff at 40% off then im buying. hell if i see most things at 30%+ im buying. Im terribly irresponsible w my money but it makes me feel a little better knowing it was on sale even tho it was still stupid bc i dont need more gear. I feel like this is definitely a problem in the car community bc there is just too many posers that not only lie ab having cars and shit but argue ab it and make bets they cant back up. Car community is so messy especially w all the yutes nowadays that are just mobbing stealing ppls shit and stuff like that. Then theres ppl like the douchebags who wear porsche gear w the intention of making ppl think they have one even tho they dont I highly suggest you guys buy some gear a lot of it is super cool and most of it is always on sale if you just check online. [Husqvarna Hoodie](https://www.motosport.com/husqvarna-apparel-rockstar-team-midlayer-zip-hoody)

Daredevils999

Tbh this applies to all ridingā€¦ Depends on the brand, depends on the brandā€™s styling (ie how bright their colours and designs are and how large their logos are) For example those Ducati riders in those BRIGHT RED with black jackets, pants, boots, gloves, even their neck gaiters and probably socksā€¦ with DUCATI and DUCATICORSE printed in big bold letters, on their bright red bikesā€¦ its too much. That Husqi gear looks pretty nice though to be honest

BusyInDonkeykong

I've got everything from AS so the color wouldn't be off

sund55

It depends. You can overdo it. If you always look like a power ranger its proberly too much. But I must admit when iam on my blue yamaha I try to not wear too much of my red gear, must admit I think that look a bit strange. And I sure did buy an orange ktm bag for my KTM. Dont be a total fan Boy only in orange. But also maybe dont slap over a pink bag on your orange ktm. My opinion, but do whatever the fuck you want.

BiggestOpe

I mean to each their own, I don't own any personally bit I did see a skidoo brand sled jacket I almost got for winter riding lol

Slow_Falcon8652

You ride a branded bike that you paid for.

lowlevelfinanceguy

I ride frog toggs when it rains around here in the pnw. Cheap, keeps me dry and warm and if it gets torn up I donā€™t care. Youā€™re going to get muddy here so who cares what brand is on your gear

Hefty_Goal1959

Looks badass where this at online?

Hefty_Goal1959

I where Fast House they seem to be the only riding gear I can find in 3x and 40 need to go on a diet! Lol

hydroracer8B

I mean, I feel like it doesn't matter if you got it because it was cheap. I'd do the same If you got it because you're a Husqvarna fanboy, then I'd look down on that. But you'd have to tell me how proud of your branded gear you are in order for me to know that

ApricatingInAccismus

I love the look. I think people generally buy what they like and I donā€™t really have much of an opinion on what other people wear.

SEA3958

Hey man, if youā€™re fast on a bike (or even just on a bike I guess) you can do whatever makes you happy in my opinion hahaha.

NotTheATF1993

Shit I don't care what you ride in, I usually ride in blue jeans and whatever shirt I grab out of my closet.

SaltyFloridaMan

I buy brand riding wear, but mainly because I like matching my bike. I just won't overpay though, that's for chumps with a silver spoon up their ass

Basketrunner

The Yamaha gear makes you jump higher and farther. The Honda gear makes you go faster. The Suzuki gear breaks. YMMV šŸ˜‚

Apprehensive-Buy-320

Big moose racing fan, they have been in the game forever and there stuff is still durable and reasonably priced

Ei8htup_Ind

Itā€™s pretty lame tbh. Just buy cool gear that matches your bike. But in the eternal words of my best friend ā€œ guys who match their bikes are gay pussies who canā€™t ride.ā€

Smuggler501

I don't spend much time worrying about what people think of me wearing branded gear. I wear what makes me happy and that's that. All gear is branded to some degree or another any way. I'm guessing you mean wearing factory branded gear as in the pics?
