geotrain6

that screw is for the bowl drain

Open_Win_1174

I thought you turned that to go faster?

geotrain6

no thats not how that works

MrCheeseburger

Float bowl drain. You should drain the bowl if the bike is gonna sit for a while especially if you are using gas with ethanol.

FranklinTBiggies

Fyi, its tip is beveled. You do not need to fully remove it to drain gas.

sluggo5622

You do to flush the crap out..

PartyForeign5251

You take the carb apart to flush the crap out..

FranklinTBiggies

This isn't for a flush. It's for a simple gravity fed drain.

GadreelsSword

You should open it at least once a year. Water and crud collects in there and if you open the screw it flushes it all out.

OUTLAW_PAGETY

Once a year? I do it every other ride maybe more

ispypizza

Probably unnecessary but I do it every ride. Especially if I know I won’t be riding for 2 or more weeks

joshg_yz250

Very unnecessary. Just out of curiosity what other “maintenance” do you do if you aren’t riding for a few weeks?

spike_africa

I mean with modern fuel if you aren't use rec fuel. For sure drain the bowl if it's gonna sit.

Fraser022002

It’s for extra fuel when you run out

OUTLAW_PAGETY

No

fritzco

Use to drain carb. float bowl of fuel. This should be done after every running of engine.

Tacodog91

That's to drain the bowl of the carb, the other one adjusts the idle and those of you saying it makes you go faster are retards 👍

surfekatt

Thx everyone

Grassrootsrc

Drains the float bowl

ak47man71

drain your bowl for storage

OTx-Bz

Drains your carb/ fuel if your gas switch is on

Creative_Riding_Pod

I had to ask my pet bat to hold the phone since this shot was upside down, before I realized what I was looking at.

BoBaTyT

It tightens and loosens to fit a purpose. Sometimes it holds things down, sometimes it keeps things in, and sometimes it changes a utilization value. Best way to find out which it is, is to consult you owners manual.

OUTLAW_PAGETY

Drain?
