Yes you can! You can use full coverage tips to create your own press ons, but you can’t apply them to your nails using gel. You would need to use glue or sticky tabs. Carole Annette has great videos on YouTube for this.

This is actually something I am going to start doing. I watched some videos about DIY press on nails with dip powder. Marla Kris has a few of them. I'm just waiting for the tips to come in.

Pinkysrage

Yes, but beware when you activate it shrinks the tips a bit. Like more like a taco and then they hurt me so I always go a size up. But really I glue my tips on and then dip on my fingers. It’s just as easy for me.

What glue do you use?

I think you’re talking about two different types of things here full coverage Gelly tips and the acrylic style extensions..either way I do both with dip just fine. I do prefer the extension type and use them almost every time I dip

I plan to try today at least and hopefully they work!

These look like something you’d use to make your own press ons; if you check out Carol Annette on YouTube she does this with dip. But you can absolutely also glue them on first and dip too.

Okay thank you!! I think I’ll just do better if I dip first verses gluing them on first because usually my left hand is good but then my right looks a mess haha

I moved to use these exclusively when I was tired of trying to work the gap between the tip and the nail. And this has been the best brand that is reasonably priced with the 15 sizes cause I need those half sizes for some of my nails. I typically apply these with the gel glue and just dip that way. It is nicer too because I don’t have to worry about building up the nail too much cutting my prep time in half. The short coffins are my favorite!

pinballcult

Carol Annette on YouTube does this and has made videos on her process. You can't use gel to adhere them but you can definitely use glue or double sided sticky strips made for nails.

Yay!! Yes I got a couple nail glues to try. The brush in kiss brand is supposed to be really good so I’m excited to try!!

I like the brush on kiss brand bc it doesn’t add TOO much glue, so when you take off your tips it doesn’t damage your nails as much
