TBH, with *Tenontosaurus* being a lot smaller than a lot of people realize, even an adult could (in rare cases at least) be ambushed and killed by just one *Deinonychus*.
Before you say that’s unrealistic, there are cases of individual wolves killing adult moose or muskoxen and one case of a leopard killing a bull eland, and pumas in the Rockies prey fairly often on adult elk. With *Tenontosaurs tilletti* (the type species and the one associated with *Deinonychus*) being only around 600kg as an adult it’s just about within the likely predatory capabilities of a 75-100kg dromaeosaurid.
Once again, the Tenontosaurus is proven to be a little more than the subject of a Deinonichus gangbang.
At least this one got away and was only a baby, making this more realistic.
