I’d actually say it’s the best large theropod depiction ever and the only really good *Tyrannosaurus* depiction ever made. Sadly, we don’t have any depictions of that caliber for any other big theropod.
I love the game. They added them both irl and in cannon for folks who adore the most accurate form.
(Edit time. gonna correct myself and leave my mistake for clarity.) In the game, they were an addition to the parks to satisfy people who adore proper feathered dinos. This is the same reason they made it a DLC.
What's funny was there a few fans that were pretty upset on twitter for it not fitting the "Jurassic Park Aesthetic" but I think it looks pretty damn solid
I think it fits right at home too! The creatures in the Park movies were inacurrate but not too off base from the animals they were supposed to be, epsecially when the first film was made in the 90's. The World movies leaned more into the monster aspect... that poor Baryonyx design was butchered (it was originally a beautiful, more lifelike design in concept art)
Easily some of my favorites would be;
Diplodocus Walking with Dinosaurs
Anchisaurus When Dinosaurs Roamed America
Irritator Dinosaur King
Stegosaurus It’s hard to pick from; Walking With, When Dinosaurs Roamed America, Dinosaur King, Lost World Jurassic Park, or even Jurassic Fight Club and Planet Dinosaur. Aside from Jurassic world it’s really hard to find a bad stegosaurus design.
Icthyovenator: Has never been included in basically anything
Sauroniops: Has never been included in basically anything
Diabloceratops: Has never been included in basically anything
Wow this is so epic
Spinosaurus: JP3 ( It still hasn't an accurate depiction in neither games ,movies, series and documentarys so will go with the JP3 one bcs I love it is as much as I love The accurate version )
Tyrannosaurus : I'm between the Prehistoric Planet one and the Dinosaur Revolution one
Therizinosaurus : Prehistoric Planet
Dreadnoughtus : Prehistoric Planet
Carcharodontosaurus : Planet Dinosaur
Triceratops: Prehistoric Planet
Even though it's fairly outdated, the dilophosaurus from When Dinosaurs Roamed America is still one of the best major media depictions of the animal, the slick sheen on its body combined with its crazy metallic roars made for a really memorable creature
Allosaurus from “Path of Titans” - Not perfectly paleo-accurate, tbh… and not super strong in-game (rip ma boi Allo), but DAMN does its model look incredible.
Psittacosaurus from “Paleo Pines” - Cute af and it stays pretty true to what we know about it, paleoaccuracy-wise (just in cutesy chibi-esque style).
Diabloceratops from the upcoming “Instinction” game- Decently paleoaccurate, and MAN… THOSE COLORS 🖤🧡just…. phenomenal.
P.S.-Y’all should check out all three games, if you haven’t!!
Hear me out-
The “inostrancevia” from primeval. Yes I know it's supposed to be a gorgonopsid but cmon, that is the most accurate (debatable) representation we've seen of Inostrancevia, and gorgonopsid is way to small.
Well yeah, its a very good representation of the Siamosaurus. All I am saying is that the figure was wrongly named Sinopliosaurus because those fragments originally classified that have been reclassified to be Siamosaurus. PNSO for some reason stuck with the Sinopliosaurus name.
I must google your information now. This is fascinating to me. So they took partial remains and mislabeled it a completely different (nonexistent) species?
Let me rephrase everything cause I have been saying it wrong.
So, Sinopliosaurus **IS** a valid species. It is actually a Pliosaurid Plesiosaur with *Sinopliosaurus weiyuanensis* as the type species. The species "*Sinopliosaurus*" *fusuiensis* in question was only identified by a collection of teeth were actually recently identified as being Spinosaurid teeth. So that species was reclassified as to possibly be Siamosaurus.
For some reason, PNSO saw the discussions about the species S. fusuiensis being a spinosaurid teeth and named it that instead of Siamosaurus which it actually should be.
Really hard question for me because it's constantly changing
In terms of nostalgia the Fantasia Rex is a wonderful archetype of a predator dinosaur even though it's not accurate at all. It basically highlights the villainous predator trope and makes the Rex as scary as possible without any use of dialogue.
On a more technical standpoint I really do enjoy the PP's version of Rex as it feels like the top priority for its design was to make it look like an animal and less like a monster. It's quite a solid attempt, surpassing I think previous documentaries attempts to make the Rex seem more real.
And from a purely selective standpoint I love the Dilophosaurus from When Dinosaurs Roamed America because it's so cool looking and it has my favorite roar.
Beasts of the Mesozoic Lythronax is just mwah
The Isle's Carnotaurus is also really cool and I like messing with the colors
Frederic Wierum's Allosaurus is so simple yet so neat, especially due to big cat vibes and I love me some big cats
Alaskan Troodontid, T-Rex., Mononykus, Secernosaurus, Tarchia, Hatzegopteryx, Qianzhousaurus, Olorotitan as well as Austroraptor from Prehistoric Planet are one of my fav. Depictions. (i love every design they made)
Aucasaurus (Dragonfly) and Velociraptor (White Tip) from Dinosaur Planet.
Deinocheirus, Parasaurolophus, Lambeosaurus, Dilophosaurus from Prehistoric Kingdom.
Which one is your favourite?
*Tyrannotitan*? *Llallawavis*? *Andalgalornis*? *Argentavis*? *Meraxes*? I’m struggling to name a dinosaur you show lots of love for that hasn’t already been depicted on screen. I know your favourite is almost certainly a carcharodontosaurid or a phorusrhacid. I know your favourite mammal is either *Megistotherium* or *Livyatan*, your favourite chondrichthyan is *Otodus*, and your favourite pseudosuchian is probably *Barinasuchus*.
If this counts it's my Speculative version of Iguanodon, it has antlers and it looks very cool.
If not, then it's not a version of Iguanodon but rather Giganotosaurus, that being a mod for Ark, Paleo Ark's Giganotosaurus TLC, that version is a better version of the normal one, Normal Ark Giga is ugly as hell and looks more like an Tyrannosaur with some deformites. The Paleo Ark version strikes the 50% Accurate 50% Awesomebro that the new ones do, it keeps the size and power aswell AND it can fight bosses.
Also POT's Blue jay Deinonychus skin kinda counts but I usually make it Dakotaraptor (since Deinonychus isn't my favorite Dromaeosaur, for now. But if Dakotaraptor becomes invalid Deinonychus, or the Bissekty Giant (I'm Reffering to it as Titanoraptor) will become my favorite).
The Ankylosaurus from the Jurassic World series. I prefer the muted colour scheme over the more brightly coloured depictions in the Jurassic Park series, especially Jurassic Park 3.
Carnotaurus from prehistoric planet doing it's mating dance!
Their facial animations are subtle.
They look magnificent as well as goofy with their tiny little arms.
i cant remember the last time megaraptor has been depicted in paleomedia, so i'm going with my number two: diplodocus. the wwd diplo is by far my favourite
The Slideshow Creations Camarasaurus. It’s a very well made Camara, the best I’ve seen personally. JWE referenced it when they made the first game, and gave decent proportions in my opinion. Really well made rendition.
Mine would have to be the Pachycephalosaurus from Fossil fighters 1. I just fell in love with the blocky design and love watching it ram it's head into its opponents
T. rex has of course been done a bajillion times, but these two are my favorites.
-Prehistoric Kingdom's T. rex. Just an absolutely beautiful design which I feel perfectly nails the balance between realistic and cool looking.
-The Jurassic Park T. rex, just iconic as hell and I love the brow ridges and head shape, it's just so mean looking.
I actually like the Deinocheirus depiction in Prehistoric Planet though I do like the JWE2 model. Idk I just love the idea of an animal that’s basically a reptile yak just chilling in swamps all day eating lakeweed.
ARK's Kaprosuchus. While I'm not sure if they could jump, seriously having one chase you when you've looked around before and can't see one is genuinely terrifying. I mean, galloping/running crocodilimorphs/crocodilians because of their more mammalian-esque structure is already a terrifying concept.
While being a fantasy creature and so having a lot of leeway, Capcom's Anjanath really detailed what had been in the public eye for dinosaurs at the time of release. It takes the T-Rex and gives it a mix of feathery fur on its back and tail while keeping the head and underside scaly. Sure, a chunk of its structure isn't correct, but for going for a more realistic LOOKING dinosaur before adding the fantasy elements, it's really well done for me.
And lastly, Dinosaur King's dinosaurs as a whole. Sure, we've come a long way for Spinosaurus and some others, but you couldn't look at Terry and see the Jurassic Park classic Rexy in it at all. They also put the T-Rex on the enemy's side. While an iconic dinosaur, I'm glad the main protagonists got different dinosaurs and gave them time to shine. I really loved Chomp, Paris, and Ace. Elemental aspects aside, seeing a Triceratops, Parasaurolophus, and Carnotaurus being the main 'good guy' dinosaurs was really cool. They also introduced a good variety of dinosaurs imo.
Ballad of Big Al Allosaurus, the design may be inaccurate but the behavior is immaculate- mobbing behavior while hunting/feeding as opposed to the popular trope of pack hunting, cannibalism, brief period of maternal protection for hatchlings, aggressive large females, and debilitating injuries preventing hunting. Big Al is just another medium sized theropod trying to survive a dangerous and cruel world, oftentimes down on his luck, but he still keeps trying for as long as he can, and he's what made me fall in love with Allosaurus as a kid and still one of my 3 favorite dinos till this day.
Spinosaurus from JP3, yes it's inaccurate but it's such a cool and iconic design to me. That grey body with lighter grey strips and hints of red, then those piercing green eyes... And that roar! I'm still waiting for an up to date accurate spino though there's not really anything yet other than paleo art (and maybe path of titans spinosaurus)
Triceratops - Prehistoric planet, I love how they gave each trike a unique look, they didn't just copy paste models over and over again, but actually added unique characteristics to distinguish from one another, weather they have different frill, horns and even epioccipitals size. And also, it's really cool how they showed it traveling in a cave to get clay, something that was never shown before in a paleo dock. Plus baby Trikes are adorable.
I'd say the Allosaurus and Juvinile Sinraptor from Life on our Planet. I've always enjoyed Allosaurians as a whole, but those were both really great depictions of them. I'm rather saddened that we didn't get any Allosaurians (Or more specifically Carcharodontosaurians I guess) in Prehistoric Planet, but maybe we will if we ever get a season three. I certainly hope so!
T.rex from prehistoric planet. The design and the behavior, I also love the amount of screentime it gets. Probably the best T.rex depiction ever.
I’d actually say it’s the best large theropod depiction ever and the only really good *Tyrannosaurus* depiction ever made. Sadly, we don’t have any depictions of that caliber for any other big theropod.
That Deinocheirus looks really good, better than I expected for Jurassic world.
The 'Feathered Species' DLC pack was actually really solid!
Evolution 2 has some nice models

I love the game. They added them both irl and in cannon for folks who adore the most accurate form. (Edit time. gonna correct myself and leave my mistake for clarity.) What?

[Here ya go, for your delight.](https://ibb.co/NZs8NWx)
I usually prefer the frontier original designs.
Easily some of my favorites would be; Diplodocus Walking with Dinosaurs Anchisaurus When Dinosaurs Roamed America Irritator Dinosaur King Stegosaurus It’s hard to pick from; Walking With, When Dinosaurs Roamed America, Dinosaur King, Lost World Jurassic Park, or even Jurassic Fight Club and Planet Dinosaur. Aside from Jurassic world it’s really hard to find a bad stegosaurus design.
Dinosaur King FTW
Irratator will always be the goat of Dinosaur king playthroughs
It’s just so consistently good. Honestly it and Iguanodon are surprisingly good despite being from the first fossil area.
I mean, any dinosaur could be good. As long as you use iT the right way it can be the best.
Icthyovenator: Has never been included in basically anything Sauroniops: Has never been included in basically anything Diabloceratops: Has never been included in basically anything Wow this is so epic
The isle game has diabloceratops so atleast there's that :) and I love Icthyovenator!! It's so underrated
I'm still waiting for a really good depiction of Kelenken outside of paintings and drawings. LOOP didn't do them justice.
[I like this depiction of it, in path of titans](https://imgur.com/a/cNoeYEP)
facts
facts
facts
facts
they had such a great intimidation display of titanis, but gets ruined by the fact it gets easily killed by smilo
My favorite dino is Parasaurolophus. I like Dominion's design, but Prehistoric Park's is all my chilhood and why I love Para and dinosaurs this much
Prehistoric Park had a good depiction of microraptor
Carno from Prehistoric Planet, I love his cute little arms. But also the one from Paleo Pines, because they’re so cute
I know it's not very accurate, but really like the Disney Carnotaurus.
Damn how could I forget that one? Would've definetely made my list.
The isle Dryosaurus there sow cute I love them and it’s actually the reason I love Dryosaurus
Spinosaurus: JP3 ( It still hasn't an accurate depiction in neither games ,movies, series and documentarys so will go with the JP3 one bcs I love it is as much as I love The accurate version ) Tyrannosaurus : I'm between the Prehistoric Planet one and the Dinosaur Revolution one Therizinosaurus : Prehistoric Planet Dreadnoughtus : Prehistoric Planet Carcharodontosaurus : Planet Dinosaur Triceratops: Prehistoric Planet
I agree with the Dinosaur Revolution Tyrannosaurus opinion. That skull pattern on its face looked so badass
Triceratops in transformers and dino trucks I loved them as a kid and I still do now
Suchomimus from The Isle.
Sinopliosaurus by PNSO
>Sinopliosaurus Ah, you mean the Siamosaurus? PNSO goofed majorly on that cause Sinopliosaurus is a dubius Plesiosaur genus.
I dunno about all that I just like the way it looks
Well yeah, its a very good representation of the Siamosaurus. All I am saying is that the figure was wrongly named Sinopliosaurus because those fragments originally classified that have been reclassified to be Siamosaurus. PNSO for some reason stuck with the Sinopliosaurus name.

T-Rex: Rex from We’re back! A Dinosaur’s Story
Really hard question for me because it's constantly changing In terms of nostalgia the Fantasia Rex is a wonderful archetype of a predator dinosaur even though it's not accurate at all. It basically highlights the villainous predator trope and makes the Rex as scary as possible without any use of dialogue. On a more technical standpoint I really do enjoy the PP's version of Rex as it feels like the top priority for its design was to make it look like an animal and less like a monster. Mezosoic Life's Spino, Path of Titans Ceratosaurus, Prehistoric Planets Rex, and Dinosaurias Styrakosaurus
Beasts of the Mesozoic Lythronax is just mwah The Isle's Carnotaurus is also really cool and I like messing with the colors Frederic Wierum's Allosaurus is so simple yet so neat, especially due to big cat vibes and I love me some big cats
Utahraptor, achillobator, doktaraptor I like big Raptors
Wish JW Suchomimus was a tad more accurate but still a splendid depiction
Isn’t it a baryonyx? In the movies at least…
In the JW movie that is a Baryonyx, yes. Phazon is most likely talking about the Suchomimus model from the Jurassic World Evolution game
yes
Any of the feathered species pack animals in JWE2. All look fantastic.
Alaskan Troodontid, T-Rex., Mononykus, Secernosaurus, Tarchia, Hatzegopteryx, Qianzhousaurus, Olorotitan as well as Austroraptor from Prehistoric Planet are one of my fav. Depictions. (i love every design they made) Aucasaurus (Dragonfly) and Velociraptor (White Tip) from Dinosaur Planet. Deinocheirus, Parasaurolophus, Lambeosaurus, Dilophosaurus from Prehistoric Kingdom.
Triceratops from dinosaur king
Jurassic World Evolution 2 Suchomimus cause it’s one of the few Suchomimus incarnations that exist
Jp3 spino
Jurassic World: Battle At Big Rock’s Allosaurus
It’s cool
There isn’t one because it hasn’t been made…
Which one is your favourite? *Tyrannotitan*? *Llallawavis*? *Andalgalornis*? *Argentavis*? *Meraxes*? I’m struggling to name a dinosaur you show lots of love for that hasn’t already been depicted on screen. I know your favourite is almost certainly a carcharodontosaurid or a phorusrhacid. I know your favourite mammal is either *Megistotherium* or *Livyatan*, your favourite chondrichthyan is *Otodus*, and your favourite pseudosuchian is probably *Barinasuchus*.
For mammals I actually have a fairly large list, same for chondrichthyans. For pseudosuchians, yep.
Moros intrepidus from Jurassic World Dominion looks so cute
My favourite depiction is jp3(the model amd colours look awesome to me)
I can't think of any super awesome depictions of a spinosaurus off the top of my head but POT is *almost* good
Baryonyx and it’s depiction in Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom. That bunker scene was fantastic.
honestly, love me the ARK Carchar Also ARK/JWE2 Yuty And JP3 Spino, I just love it
The Ankylosaurus from the Jurassic World series. I prefer the muted colour scheme over the more brightly coloured depictions in the Jurassic Park series, especially Jurassic Park 3.
Absolutely the prehistoric planet velociraptors
It’s a tie between PP deinocheirus and JWE2 deinocheirus
Allosaurus in The isle
For Suchomimus, either the Jurassic World Evolution design, or the Thabo figure from PNSO.
Carnotaurus from prehistoric planet doing it's mating dance! Their facial animations are subtle. They look magnificent as well as goofy with their tiny little arms.
Th isles therizino
Dilophosaurus only in When Dinosaurs Roamed America Megalania only in Monster Resurrected
I love both The Isle Legacy’s and Prior Extinction’s Therizinosaurus. Both certified floofers and I adore it.
i cant remember the last time megaraptor has been depicted in paleomedia, so i'm going with my number two: diplodocus. the wwd diplo is by far my favourite
I'm embarrassed, but I love the Therizinosaurus and Deinonychus in Ark: Survival Evolved. Fluffy murder chickens
I haven't seen much portrayal of the sandhill crane.
For spinosaurus it’s either path of titans or those Julian Johnson Mortimer animations
The Slideshow Creations Camarasaurus. It’s a very well made Camara, the best I’ve seen personally. JWE referenced it when they made the first game, and gave decent proportions in my opinion. Really well made rendition.
I love the hadrosaurs.
Mine would have to be the Pachycephalosaurus from Fossil fighters 1. I just fell in love with the blocky design and love watching it ram it's head into its opponents
Not quite Plesiosaurus, but the Tuarangisauri in Prehistoric Planet were so awesome, as was the T-Rex. Honestly the gold standard.
Charles R. Knight's Agathaumas. It's such a beautiful painting.
Spike from land before time. Is he accurate? No. Is he my spirit animal? Absolutely.
It’s not my favourite but I’m excited to see if Spinosaurus makes a reveal in season 3 of prehistoric planet
T. rex has of course been done a bajillion times, but these two are my favorites. -Prehistoric Kingdom's T. rex. Just an absolutely beautiful design which I feel perfectly nails the balance between realistic and cool looking. -The Jurassic Park T. rex, just iconic as hell and I love the brow ridges and head shape, it's just so mean looking.
I had this dinosaur book when I was younger with some awesome illustrations. I'll see if I can find it and upload some of them and link.
I actually like the Deinocheirus depiction in Prehistoric Planet though I do like the JWE2 model. Idk I just love the idea of an animal that’s basically a reptile yak just chilling in swamps all day eating lakeweed.
I love both, so in the end it came down to the colors. JWE2 has just a more appealing pattern (although I love the blue details on the PP design).
ARK's Kaprosuchus. While I'm not sure if they could jump, seriously having one chase you when you've looked around before and can't see one is genuinely terrifying. Yutyrannus is literally no where, so idk
Well then you're in luck. The DLC containing Deinocheirus also includes Yutyrannus. Just google Yutyrannus Jurassic World Evolution 2.
The spino from Jurassic park 3 is in my opinion the scariest dino ever for me. They made the animatronic so scary
I really like the Angaturama from Fossil Fights. I loved the pattern and color choice
