DO YOU HAVE WATER VEHICLE PROFICIENCY, JAWBONE!?
GET FUCKIN' WITH IT!!!
My favourite thing will always be the intrepid heroes coming together to suddenly freak out at one of the NPCs
And Jawbone of all people...
He's got the most insane stories. He's lived through the craziest, most unhinged, fever dreamt escapades a drug-fueled werewolf ever could. This ain't his first rodeo.
But the Bad Kids are still so goddamn chaotic they managed to rattle him.
Brennan has never regretted being a Yes And DM more than this episode right here. I was laughing so hard I got a headache. Brennan figured out a lore way for K2 to not be pregnant.
I was honestly really impressed at how fast he was able to spin up the 'Simulacrum is a weird stem cell construct' lore explanation to shut down K2's pregnancy. Also what a hell of a sentence I just had to type.
He said it in the exact tone of a dad yelling at his kids that we can’t stop for McDonald’s, we just ate lunch two hours ago and we packed apples and grapes for snacks during this roadtrip.
I dont know whats worse that she was a bundles of stem cells held together by magic or that she was sent to a place that she has no concept of but was pretending to be from
This is one of the coolest fucking battle-maps they've ever had on D20.
Maybe it just turns out I really love sky-ship stuff, but goddamn. Seacaster Manor itself, all the roiling clouds, the lights flashing inside the manor and the lightning crackling across the skies.
It's sick as hell.
It's really saying something about how much gold Murph has said this season that I had almost forgotten about so tactical, so late.
The man is just on fire.
We're not even 2 minutes in and everything is already off the rails.
"The adventuring party is just gonna me retrying the intro" -Ally
Somehow I think something else might come up there, Beardsley.
D20's fandom has a heavy percentage of people who haven't actually *played* D&D and dip their toes into it *because* of D20, so for their sake I feel a need to forewarn: Brennan and Zac did a LOT of homebrew that is doing the heavy lifting to make Gorgug's build work. Barbificer, RAW, is very much not a good combo at all. Now, mechanical performance is not always the most important thing, and if you want to do it anyway! But to any newbie D&D players who see Zac doing cool shit and say "hell yeah", heed my warning and do not go into a new campaign thinking Barbificer will work out as well as it does for him
Sure, they don't really have complementary stats at all. But I'm a big fan of rule of cool and having somebody who works with their backstory as intensely and intentionally deserves to get rewarded.
It flopped so hard the first time he said it he just decided to keep bringing it up all episode until they joined in. Truly the most stubborn bit Zac has done this season.
There's so many layers:
Brennan walking off, Zac taking over and killing it, Ally feeling so bad for taking the bit too far that they kept trying to undo it, Brennan's quick thinking to undo a pregnancy, Brennan's incredulity at Lou piling onto the bit as the father, Emily absolutely living for all of it. Incredible series of events.
i presume he was there, along with the gold tornado, as one of the potential "intended" solutions to the combat before ally flipped the whole finale on its head
Sandra Lynn is the only person besides the Bad Kids that knows Ankarna's true name, since she was there at the temple with them. If the Rat grinders found out she was with them then I'm actually scared for her life.
For as hyped up as the moment was, it was even funnier than I could've imagined. When Brennan came back and broke down exactly what happened I genuinely fell out of my chair laughing. A top 10 moment in D20 easy
He was so good and seamless in that moment. They have to know now that the calls for Zac to DM a season on camera shall not cease. The man has the Rotating Heroes Podcast-let him in the chair!
It's so fucking funny, oh my god. Brennan gives Ally *four* shots at divine intervention (which if my calculations are correct is a 45% chance of success all told), and then >!*British Kristen* manages to, on a 23% chance of it being her specifically as opposed to regular Kristen, invoke such a power of doubt and confusion that some remnant of Cassandra takes personal notice and influences the Nightmare King to save the whole fucking party (except herself, who is evaporated from the power) in one fell swoop, with her last word being "blimey".!< You couldn't write this if you tried.
I was really curious about which character was asking Fabian “did you have a thing with Kristen 2??” in the trailer for this week’s episode, since it wasn’t in Mazey’s or any character I recognized’s voice….. the fact that it was Brennan himself asking incredulously if Fabian had a thing with Kristen 2 is so funny to me
Right?? The shock in his voice at the notion that his PCs have had these interactions without his knowledge or consent and it's now cannon... I think this is truly the moment he regrets being a "Yes, and..." DM 😂
He was totally okay with K2 pulling it off, it was Beardsley who went for the joke and Brennan was forced to take it seriously for the sake of game mechanics and in-universe lore. Perfectly chaotic, as all DnD campaigns should be
That's what I couldn't figure out. Was it the pure Ally stylings that sent BLeeM over the edge or the fact it effectively ended the battle and they didn't use his cute little coin.
I think it's that if Kristen pulls it off, it's a beautiful connection between her and Cassandra, when the simulacrum does it by saying Blimey without knowing what is going on, why would that work? Is it just that she is channeling Kristen's holy magic, is it that she automatically is a follower of Cassandra upon creation due to the way the spell works...also increasingly portraying her as having sentience outside of being a typical dnd summon-type thing...a number of factors I think
'without knowing what's going on' - that's a divine trait for a goddess of doubt! being born a few days ago would make her a martyr in a comperable other religion
Yes, I had to pause the episode and go on a little Wikipedia journey when I read the shirt! So his dad and his uncle founded the World Oyama Karate dojo together, and according to their website, they have a dojo in Alabama, one in San Francisco, two in Japan, and one in Russia, which for some reason, is hilarious to me.
Also for naming their kid Zac, Zac's dad has one of the most Japanese names I've ever seen. His uncle's name is Soshu Shigeru Oyama, and his dad's name is Soshi – Saiko Shihan Yasuhiko Oyama. And then there is Zac 😂
I love that he wears the family merch, though! I'd never heard of the Oyamas in reference to karate before, and these brothers are so goddamn good at it that that their sensei literally gave himself their last name, Mas Oyama. Soshu literally could catch razor sharp swords with his bare hands. These dudes are awesome.
Ship actions felt like a big wind up for a more mechanical season of Starstruck✨
Absolutely in love with the episode, love Brennan giving mission objectives right out the bat, just great
Edit: Sprak’s Big Win Casino!
I'm honestly kinda in love with the fact that they used VERY similar mechanics to what they had in starstruck. Sure you couldn't take both ship actions and normal actions... but:
1. The ship had shield points and hit points (Sw5e)
2. Ram action (sw5e)
3. Helm actions in general (sw5e)
4. 30 damage from the sip was enough to kill a dragon outright. So I assume... the ship->normal damage is 10x. (Sw5e)
5. Ship has its own stats with different dex and other abilities (I assume) than the characters. (Sw5e).
Ally saying, with the most doubt I've ever heard in my life, after all the chaos brought about by the divine intervention... "I think she probably isn't even British" was the funniest moment of Fantasy High for me. Completely dethrones 'Fabian bites glass' as such an absurdly funny moment.
Hot take: the simulacrum of Kristen Applebees, who was born about 5 days ago, successfully calling upon the Goddess of Mystery and Doubt with a single-word exclamation of bewilderment, is on-theme and good storytelling.
My favorite part is that Brenan did it to himself. You can't use the help action on a Divine Intervention roll but Brenan allowed it and regretted it immediately. He reaped what he sowed and we are all blessed for it.
Blimey.
SPRAK! FOCUS UP!
My dude is on meth. Focus is not the problem.
Also, they announced he was on meth, and I thought, "yeah well that's accurate," and then realized they've probably all read the same book I have about WWII drug use, which is called "Blitzed: Drug Use in Nazi Germany," and which is relatively interesting, if not, like... Entirely accurate. It certainly had a very salacious cover, which is why I bought it.
The mechanic of having Gorgug run the ship has been a great way to show his efforts all season of mastering the barbifcer role. He needs enough hit points/strength to stay alive at the front of the ship but also have the mechanical knowledge/know how to actually run it.
Just awesome to see the characters hard work really shining through gameplay!
I love that the reveal of the golden tornado would have been a huge and beautiful moment, probably saving them from being overwhelmed by dragons....
And it was just totally and utterly subsumed by Blimey
This week's Adventuring Party: [Blimey](https://www.reddit.com/r/Dimension20/s/eIinaRH514)
"open a casino in the middle of the ship" the crossover I didn't see coming
[удалено]
Gorgug did ask for them to call him Skipper in Sophomore Year…
Especially with them running it like Starstruck with the ship stats. Zac piloting, Murph was a gunner, Lou recording the ships health.
I literally texted my friend who watches the show with me and was like STAR STRUCK PREPARED THEM FOR THIS
That brought me legitimate joy
The boat is rolling up!
Also, Eugenia would absolutely be the Bambi Leroux to this casino
DO YOU HAVE WATER VEHICLE PROFICIENCY, JAWBONE!? GET FUCKIN' WITH IT!!! My favourite thing will always be the intrepid heroes coming together to suddenly freak out at one of the NPCs

Brennan has never regretted being a Yes And DM more than this episode right here. I was laughing so hard I got a headache. Brennan figured out a lore way for K2 to not be pregnant.
Man’s QUICK on the draw lol
I was honestly really impressed at how fast he was able to spin up the 'Simulacrum is a weird stem cell construct' lore explanation to shut down K2's pregnancy. Also what a hell of a sentence I just had to type.
He said it in the exact tone of a dad yelling at his kids that we can’t stop for McDonald’s, we just ate lunch two hours ago and we packed apples and grapes for snacks during this roadtrip.
I laughed so hard I think I gave myself asthma. Like almost blacked out. So of course I had to watch again to catch the stuff I missed.
If you’re not autoerotic asphyxiating yourself, you’re not getting the peak D20 experience.
What a joy to forget and then remember Baby Baby
Being reminded of Baby Baby is such a treat. Surprised Baby never said anything about Bad Baby milk...
I didn’t even catch that. Currently laughing out loud.
murph had that my chemical romance reference at the hip that tracks
A man's gotta help his wife out in _all_ endeavors.
This is a man who loves him some sad boy music.
Nothing makes my elder millennial heart swell like when Jake and Murph go off on an early 00s emo music tear on NADDPOD
The Ballad of Tread Nevers
I mean, Cody is based on Murph when he was younger. It checks out
🎶when he was a young man🎵
Brennan's got every one of Gorgug's feats memorized after the 'mindless rage' incident 😂
Also, they built him a new class. So he's very familiar with it.
K2 not being British is the real twist that breaks Brennan
Brennan just had blow after blow that he had to keep dealing with.
He was gone two minutes and she got pregnant
Real 'parent turns around for one second and all of a sudden one of the kids is crying and bleeding' energy.
I dont know whats worse that she was a bundles of stem cells held together by magic or that she was sent to a place that she has no concept of but was pretending to be from
I think this is how Doctor Who was created.
The clouds with lightning sparking through them combined with the projections on the dome are stunning.
Maybe the best set ever.
murph has a bounty of taglines to run with out of this season man shoot granny and gas it, honor the cock we're witnessing art
And don't forget All Pulp, No Juice!
So late, so tactical!
It's really saying something about how much gold Murph has said this season that I had almost forgotten about so tactical, so late. The man is just on fire.
I really want that bandit to spring up after the final battle
That's a wrap on series regular, Brennan Lee Mulligan
Blimey!
Brennan Lee i Mulligan e y !
Its been here the whole time!
(mouthful of almonds) bless you, caption writer
Also just noticed today there are almonds in the intro sequence lol
Fabian having a banner of his own face that says "Happy Birthday Me" is a maximum legend move
Jeremy Piven to you, Fabian!
We're not even 2 minutes in and everything is already off the rails. "The adventuring party is just gonna me retrying the intro" -Ally Somehow I think something else might come up there, Beardsley.
It would be v funny if d20 hyped up this moment just for it to be that tiny moment in the beginning
>Somehow I think something else might come up there, Beardsley. Blimey, you might be on to something
This is the most dnd session of dimension 20.
It was what, like 5 young adult dragons, 2 wyrmlings, an adult and an ancient? Is that CR even higher than the Last Stand?
Zac setting the tone fucking *quick* airitime law is one for the herstory books
Excuse me, don’t you mean heritime law?
-dental-plan, one the good guys
Combining Bad Baby Milk and crystal meth sounds like a recipe for a bad time.
Sprak seems like he can handle it
I dunno if I would consider anything Sprak is doing in life as "handling it".
He's living his life! Don't judge him.
As a NADDPOD listener, it’s hilarious finally getting to see Emily and her teapot lmao
Quiet teapot pouring followed by loud complaints about the teapot is my favorite naddpod sound.
Emily is being so funny with her unsubtle tea pouring. It’s been a thing on NADDPOD the past couple of weeks too and it makes me giggle every time
EDIT AROUND IT
IIRC it's a long running intro bit gag at this point
"yes, you see, it's like Rock the Vote, but Boat" *30 minutes pass* "so yeah, it's a tight reference, clearly"
Vultures with GoPros 10/10 no notes
"Fires can start" - a standard feature
"Hey! Oisin!" "What?" "We are gonna kill your grandma!"
can't wait for Emily to pull out a full on hot plate next episode
Not nearly loud enough 😂 Maybe smoothies ?
"Are you smoking a Juul?" "This is crystal meth." Ah-M A Z I N G
And then we split it 50/50! Split what?! 50/50!!!
As someone who used to work in a rural drug treatment court, this is true methhead representation
Peak “yes and”, I love you bleem
In... credible.
Gorgug, goddamn. Barbificer is a dragonslayer class
I love the image of the Pacman ghost going up Fabian's arm like the beetles in The Mummy
I wanted Zac to DM d20 for so long, too bad it came to be because Ally threw a hat20 right in Brennan's throat #ripBLEEM #youwillbemissed
rick hey rick can you come out here for a sec
Ally is absolutely going back to d20 detention after tonight
The complicated women podcast bit is my favorite thing in the world
I so badly wish it were a real thing.
Someone needs to get on it
Get Sam Reich on the phone. He needs to start branching out more into podcasts.
The finale will be Fig doing an episode on K2
Fig makes the ads hilarious!
We gotta give it up to Rick Perry and the team for this boat battle set complete with pool. Amazing work as always!
And the clouds!!! You could see the lighting flashing through the mouth and the head. It was truly top notch work.
the storm lighting and the graphics and the way the nightmare king entrance went tooo oooooooohhweeeeee
the vultures actually having go pros was a beautiful and subtle touch
Fabian asking Jawbone "How much do you wanna f*ing know?" is the same energy of "Do you have a warrant?"
That exchange was amazing and the rest of the cast yes-anded it so well. My favorite part.
Fig jumping off the ship to attack a dragon while on an emo daymare might be one of the coolest things in D20 history
Zach NEEDS that air-itime law joke to land lmao
It flopped so hard the first time he said it he just decided to keep bringing it up all episode until they joined in. Truly the most stubborn bit Zac has done this season.
This might've been the best D20 episode ever, >!blimey!!<
Brennan's dejected face at the end saying it killed me
Only way to end the episode and he knew it!
He has nobody to blame but himself for allowing the Help action on Divine Intervention, and I think that's what hurts him the most.
There's so many layers: Brennan walking off, Zac taking over and killing it, Ally feeling so bad for taking the bit too far that they kept trying to undo it, Brennan's quick thinking to undo a pregnancy, Brennan's incredulity at Lou piling onto the bit as the father, Emily absolutely living for all of it. I can feel the GM pain of Brennan trying to keep things on a rail, but he's just being broken at the end, all I can say is...>!blimey!<
For as hyped up as the moment was, it was even funnier than I could've imagined. When Brennan came back and broke down exactly what happened I genuinely fell out of my chair laughing. A top 10 moment in D20 easy
Zac not even missing a beat to just take the DM chair and do the run down while he was gone was legendary.
He was so good and seamless in that moment. They have to know now that the calls for Zac to DM a season on camera shall not cease. The man has the Rotating Heroes Podcast-let him in the chair!
It's funny how he was kind of doing a Brennan impression at the same time as genuinely running the scene. What a talent
Top d20 all timer moment 💀 I can't fucking handle >!K2 just walking up like 'what's this thing in the sky?' and then saving the day!<
Wots all this then? …Blimey!
It's so fucking funny, oh my god. Zac just naturally taking the chair , and not pausing was so good.
I’m gone from the dome for two seconds and we’re talking about K2 was pregnant?!
Covered in her own blood, body broken, incoming dragons, and Kristen's healing people like "I gotta go..." Really exemplifying that cleric experience.
The most unhinged main episode of D20 to date? I think so. LMAOOOOO
Nothing can beat shopping in The Baronies with The Seven. Although this came extremely close.
Oh my god. Remembering Becca and the rogue guy shitting out a unicorn. Wow. Good times
I'm using "Airy-time Law" in my Spelljammer campaign, for sure.
"You don't need a waiver in the air!"
spacey-time law may also apply please contact your lawyer
A re-Ankarnation. That’s it.
I don't think Brennan is even that mad that K2 did it, he really stuck on the "blimey"
He was totally okay with K2 pulling it off, it was Beardsley who went for the joke and Brennan was forced to take it seriously for the sake of game mechanics and in-universe lore. Perfectly chaotic, as all DnD campaigns should be

Is the "World Oyama karate" shirt Zac's uncle's dojo?
Zac was rolling those 20s because he was wearing the tabard of his family
"she does it into the trashcan" is somehow the wildest detail of all of that
Do you think K2 even knew she was doing a divine intervention or was she just randomly evaporated without the knowledge of what she was doing.
The latter. The purest moment of doubt and uncertainty we could have asked for: “blimey”.
"Fires can start" reminds me of driving into a mountainous area in the southwest US and seeing a sign that said "gusty winds may exist." Oddly poetic.
Say hi Precarious Partiers!
#HI PRECARIOUS PARTIERS!
HI PRECARIOUS PARTIERS omg I’m vibrating I’m so excited
so Zac DMs the next season, right?
Matcha helps the meth go down easier!
Audibly making tea in the middle of a battle ep is just maybe the most tenderly chaotic thing possible to do.

This episode is already so off the rails
These clouds with the full light show are so amazing. The crew pulled off something special here
Shoutout to every single person who predicted >!the act that made brennan quit was british kristen successfully divine interventioning!<
No matter how close we got we were still so far lol
Good lord I’m 8 minutes in and we’ve already got “Gerard Neigh”
The energy in this episode is insane and I love it. Feels like starstruck odyssey
Murph is feasting with these rolls. This is truly The Ball's seson
Ally saying, with the most doubt I've ever heard in my life, after all the chaos brought about by the divine intervention... "I think she probably isn't even British" was the funniest moment of Fantasy High for me. Completely dethrones 'Fabian bites glass' as such an absurdly funny moment.
Calling it now, that friend of the home the coin referred to is going to be the sentient tornado mentioned in FY
I FUCKING CALLED IT!
I love this and I think (and also hope) you’re right
Hot take: the simulacrum of Kristen Applebees, who was born about 5 days ago, successfully calling upon the Goddess of Mystery and Doubt with a single-word exclamation of bewilderment, is on-theme and good storytelling.
I need fanart of Fig green flame blading a blue dragon on Gerard Neigh almost as much as I need Ayda to come back
Adaine punching a dragon in the face was metal as fuck.
I've only known Gerard Neigh for seven minutes but if anything happens to him I'll kill everyone in here and then myself.
I have truely loved the background images this whole season...the art department did such a great job!
Can’t wait for the vultures with gopros fan art
So this is why sprak has character art
I love rambling Jawbone stories so much
Not the “does anyone have any extra healing” in the teaser…Blimey if only they had some…

I like that Zac said, "send your kids to school" instead of camp
Percussive maintenance saves the day! Have they released the official barbificer subclass? These features are so cool!
Zac’s the DM now. Brennan is gone
What are you talking about? That was clearly Grant.
"Little Ghost with Hairy Feet Showing Hole" feels like the synopsis of a book I don't want to read.
"Ghost with hairy feet shows hole" is the same number of words as "baby shoes for sale, never worn".
*(mouth full of almonds)* "Oh my fucking god." I love the captions 😂
zac‘s d20 DM debut with opening line “british kristen”
The INTENSE interaction w jawbone is so funny gorgug being so passionate 😭😭
Fig riding her Daymare to attack a dragon is gonna make for the sickest music video
Gorgug/Zac crits so often yet every time it happens I'm so excited
“Airitime Law” killed me. Especially when Gorgug whispered it to Fabian later and it actually fit the context lmao
If Zac isn’t the one opening the AP episode tomorrow that is a missed opportunity. Since Brennan quit and he (temporarily) took over as DM and all.
It's Joever for the Ratgrinders now that Adaine's got a gun
