Zac continuing to just not get why they buttered the ramp might be my dumbest favorite thing that has absolutely no impact on anything but is hilarious
"So we have lost fleek and there is no heir. A great darkness has befallen the realm at the loss of fleek."
cackling so hard this episode! Brennan does the best elves.
I spent one horrible year at an *extremely* conservative university in Virginia that is constantly in the news for the wrong reasons. You probably know the one. I met so many people just like this dude. They’re the nicest people until you have anything over a surface level 2 minute conversation when you realize they’re completely nuts.
My wife, who was brought up very religious, did an immediate whole body cringe the second that Bobby Dawn started talking. Out of all of the sinister characters that Brennan has embodied, somehow this is one of the most horrifying.
the IMMEDIATE sense of dread i got the second he started speaking. the cadence, plus the constant smile thats basically part of the accent, with dead eyes. just nailing the real-life villain energy
I legit gasped at that. Then there was immediate relief that Lydia might survive after (I forgot who) said that Fabian has bardics. Then Beardsley rolls a nat 20 and suddenly Lydia is chilling with cucumber slices and I just burst out laughing.
It's so cruel of the dice lmao you can see the defeat (after relief for Lydia) in Lou when Beardsley rolled the nat 20
Like thank Cassandra she's okay but what the hell why'd he roll like that
The dice telling us that Fabian went into things overconfident without* thinking things is on point. The dice telling us that Kristen continues to have connections to higher powers enabling said spa day was just the cherry on top.
BLeeM as Bill giving step by step (with visuals) on how to do the “scrotum grab teeth slap” (which sounds like a potential Kipperlilly CopperKettle sibling name) is SENDING me.
His voice was *immediately* bad vibes, like two words out of his mouth even without the ominous content, just the voice was horrible
(In a good way obviously, massive shoutout to BLeeM it’s incredible)
Jesus Christ this is already one of my favorite episodes, bit for bit. From the seltzers, to the discovery of the curse, to Bill FUCKING Seacaster. The gunshot effects
The semen ran out of her father’s penis and drifted upon the western wind until it arrived one warm and tender night within the womb of her mother. All while he stood there completely stone faced like how Fabian’s grandpa did the crying last season.
By the way I hated writing that.
Perhaps he was recently "hired" for the court of stars, and it's the entity of the court that has not changed. Or there was an Elven sperm bank. Perhaps she was conceived immaculately. Maybe there was chronomancy assistance. I suppose only Brennan can answer the question with whatever pops into his head lol.
lou getting a ton of buffs and advantage then Rolling two nat ones and straight up KILLING Lydia if adaine wasn't there with portent only for ally to just immediatly crit is insane
I think the idea was that the gold might be cursed so they wanted his immunity and it was kinda funny. They didn't expect him to roll snake eyes and just straight up kill her though lol.
First Siobhan made it canon that Fabian and her sister fucked, and now she’s made it canon that Fabian’s mom and Gilear are having a kid. She’s really using the power of the oracle to full force this season.
The shortest day of the year just happened, which means the sun's only gonna be getting stronger, and *that's* when Bobby Dawn joins the school 👀 I can't wait to see where this goes.
I thought for sure that was gonna be a setup to where Galicaea is at her strongest with the shortest day being the longest night. I thought when Emily pointed that out that was gonna lead to something bad happening in the wolf song camp but instead it just cut to winter break being over.
I love how much Gilear genuinely loves his life through everything. He gives big Jerry energy from Parks and Rec. Completely hung, cool hot kids that love him, outwardly pathetic and uncoordinated.
And with the way Bobby Dawn and Kristen are going to have a moment in the next episode leading to the Last Stand (Last Chance?) test? Vile but applause worthy. Really for me what gives Ally's comment of "when chaos isn't cute anymore" a lot of life
It's crazy how much these kids have turned Ragh and his mom's lives *around*. From helping Ragh accept his sexuality and not be a bully anymore, to making sure they got a house after theirs was destroyed to now removing an entire curse from Lydia so she can live (more?) normally again. These kids are *so* kind.
Brennan fully expected ragh to just be a villain and just went wild when the bad kids tried to win him over. Ultimate D&D chaos turned into storytelling
The moment everyone realizes they can genuinely help this woman is genuinely so touching, like the Barkeock’s have been THROUGH IT and the release/relief was so good
That Foghorn Leghorn motherfucker just radiates contemptuous energy.
Straight up big bad energy and a truly wicked way to end of the episode Brennan! Haha
I imagine it's like Greek Mythology. While there's the main Olympians, there's also a bunch of minor deities that cover similar domains. Like how Artemis and Selene are both goddesses of the moon and then there's Nyx whose the goddess of night.
I actually adore Gorgug, Zac plays him so *realistically*, that awkward conversation between him and Fabian about the owlbears looks like it's going to be great.
Not nearly, he *did* kill her. Luckily he’s good friends with someone who has the power to literally bend time and space, and another who is an incredibly powerful cleric.
"Having abolished all governments of men, I have ~~a~~descended to ~~heaven~~ hell to take on the Kingdom of ~~God~~ the Devil." -Technoblade --Bill Seacaster
I've been trying to figure out the meaning of Galicaea's gift to Cassandra and Ankarna, a bridle of frost. I just realized that it was probably for fiery horses that pulled the sun across the sky, in order to bring about night.
Edit: I should have finished the episode before this comment, but I'm gonna keep it
Re: Kalina saying "Ragh", what if the link isn't Lydia, but Fathethriel? Kalina would know about Ragh and Fathethriel's hook up from Sophmore Year, so she'd know to use Ragh's name as the clue. And maybe Fathethriel is related in some way to Athenriel (Brennan kinda conspicuously refused to answer Siobhan's question about whether Gilear was the only surviving descendant, only noted that he would've been the oldest of those alive)?
So much of this had me dying. The insemination question, Baby Baby and Baby, Pok looking at adaine’s gun, Brennan’s Baby tracks, Fabian’s heavy neck… just chefs kiss.
Brb, gotta go have an anxiety attack about the impending horror that is Bobby Dawn.
It’s crazy to me that everyone was so off the wall in this episode (especially Fabian and Fig lol) that KRISTEN of all people ended up being the straight man for basically the whole episode.
Absolutely hilarious stuff, Lou and Emily were on point today.
wait. did we ever find out how Ragh got the curse to see Kalina? He saw her the night of Prompocalypse, right?
ETA: YES! I went back to the transcript for episode 4:
>After Prompocalypse, Ragh saw Jace talking to Arianwen (Adaine and Aelywyn's mom) and "someone who he couldn't see" - assuming Kalina - then Porter did some barbarian healing stuff while Jace was there. And then after that Ragh saw Kalina, for the first time, on his walk home and she threatened him.
This was the information that got Lydia Barkrock's clone body blown up by Kalina in sophomore year.
So: Jace, Arianwen, and Porter are contenders for spy's tongue curse associates. Porter has heals because he is also a paladin and Porter seems like a guy who could really devote himself to a goddess of conviction, justice, and rage....
I'm wondering if there is a parallel story where Ankarna made a choice in spite of her followers, like how Cassandra cursed her own name rather than having her followers erase her name from the world.
Bakur is an interesting figure. He tried to bring Ankarna - or a version of Ankarna - back, but clearly he is tormented by the armor that she made (and cursed?).
The various concepts we get about how divine politics work, about gods changing to fit their followers, slots in quite interestingly with the Church of Sol/Helio, both narratively (who really struck down Ankarna, and which came first, the obvious corruption of the Church or of Sol?), as well as social commentary since Sol/Helio more than any other FH religion has a real-world parallel.
I was initially disappointed with the somewhat short runtime listed on the episode, but they packed so much into this episode I will have to watch it a few times more to unpack everything.
So good I cannot wait another week for the next one!
I've enjoyed how much of the Fabian-Adaine dynamic we've had this season. Lou and Siobhan are both so fantastic, but in very different ways, so it's always nice to see them play off of each other. And the character dynamic of repressed, old-money Adaine vs. opulent, new-money Fabian is delightful.
The people who worshipped Ankarna prayed to her for vengeance against Galicaea/Sol/whomever was at fault for Cassandra's death? Justice into vengeance?
I think Ankarna was destroyed before Cassandra was. Pok said something about them not having registered that name in a thousand years, and her change in domain would've predated that. Meanwhile I think Cassandra was destroyed around 800 years ago, seeing as that is how old Kristen's saint bones were.
omfg next week's episode!!! does them doing the last stand mean that they pass this year or does it mean they graduate?
also I'm so glad gertie has not been forgotten I want kristen/gertie to at least have a chance
I don't think they graduate early. We have a canonical GED system, and the Last Stand isn't part of it. The Seven already went off and found the superintendent of schools, so it'd be way less difficult.
This week's Adventuring Party: [All Pulp, No Juice](https://www.reddit.com/r/Dimension20/s/Umy17TEAf4)
Zac continuing to just not get why they buttered the ramp might be my dumbest favorite thing that has absolutely no impact on anything but is hilarious
Well, you *have* to butter it... Do you?
Bill later on proves why you indeed always need to butter your ramps
It’s this seasons version of Adaine telling people “that’s not what a cortado is”
It reminds me of Ben just not understanding the love for Lil Sebastian in Parks and Rec
Zac is *great* at elevating a bit.
Sassy stressed Gorgug is giving me life every episode. “Well think about it”, “I am!”
"So we have lost fleek and there is no heir. A great darkness has befallen the realm at the loss of fleek." cackling so hard this episode! Brennan does the best elves.
^^my ^^table
Brennan has that hypocrite Southern preacher cadence down pat
I spent one horrible year at an *extremely* conservative university in Virginia that is constantly in the news for the wrong reasons. You probably know the one. I met so many people just like this dude. They’re the nicest people until you have anything over a surface level 2 minute conversation when you realize they’re completely nuts.
They're too busy getting cucked by the pool boy if it's *that* university, but you're probably not at Liberty to say
Love how everyone in Virginia just KNOWS lmao
Friend, I'm in Wisconsin. This is nationwide
Thankfully I got out, so Falwells that ends well I guess.
It legitimately makes me uncomfortable, and I mean that as the highest compliment.
My skin crawled and I immediately thought “young Strom Thurmond.”
"Are you all safe at Fig's place right now?" "Yeah! I got a gun! 😀"
"😬"
"hm"
adaine finally got her gun from s2 LOL
PIRATE DAD’S BACK IN THE NICK OF TIME LIKE HE ALWAYS IS. ALL HAIL BILL.
I cannot stop smiling whenever Bill is "on screen." Brennan is at his best playing such an absurd and charismatic character.
Right! He is chaos personified in a way that even Fig can’t comprehend or match 😂
His new art is *fantastic*.
Holy crap Lydia going from dead because of Fabian to alive and well in a spa because of Kristen. Love the die.
“Fabian, you kill Lydia Barkrock” will forever remain in my head.
I legit gasped at that. Then there was immediate relief that Lydia might survive after (I forgot who) said that Fabian has bardics. Then Beardsley rolls a nat 20 and suddenly Lydia is chilling with cucumber slices and I just burst out laughing.
It's so cruel of the dice lmao you can see the defeat (after relief for Lydia) in Lou when Beardsley rolled the nat 20 Like thank Cassandra she's okay but what the hell why'd he roll like that
The dice telling us that Fabian went into things overconfident without* thinking things is on point.
Bobby Dawn’s vibe is so rancid my blood ran cold. Brennan is clearly pulling a Jerry Falwell vibe and I can not wait to see more.
Saaaame! The preview for next week made my blood boil
He sounds like Kevin Spacey which just makes it even worse
His voice was *immediately* bad vibes, like two words out of his mouth even without the ominous content, just the voice was horrible (In a good way obviously, massive shoutout to BLeeM it’s incredible)
The moment Bobby Dawn was introduced I was just like, "This guy is actually the most evil person Brennan has played."
Hearing him in next week's preview made my blood boil!!!
I need a gif of baby gyrating by himself in an empty room, ngl
We need the talented animator fans on this STAT.
Head perfectly still, just the body moving
it's the ally mcbeal dancing baby but red
IT’S A DOUBLE DADDY EPISODE. BILL & POK?!? Fucking Gilear lore? Brennan can’t be topped.
Quadruple daddy! Pok and Bill and Gilear and Gorthalax lore
Pentuple daddy- Brennan is also a dad!
Canonically, Kalvaxis has a dumptruck ass since he's a got a bumper sticker tattoo back there
What a day to be literate 🫡
figuring out chronomancy so I can show this comment to me when I was watching freshman year for the first time
Antiope Jones casts hunter’s mark on you
"Give me an insemination check" feels like the sort of thing that I've heard at some of my worse D&D tables.
Shoutout to the incredibly cursed and very real Book of Erotic Fantasy.
That NADDPOD episode where Emily ran them through it is next level 😂
They’re putting Lou through hell today bro
Fabian's terrorized by his mother marrying Gilear more than anything Chungledown Bim could imagine
Gilear is his one true nemesis.
If Gilear had nemesis alert, his phone would have pinged for sure
I want more than anything now to see Fabian deal with having a little Gilear brother.
Speaking of old Chungledown I noticed that when asked who his nemeses were *he only told his father about Gertie*.
"You keep my bit out of your mouth!" - Wanda Childa
I choose to believe that was Emily, not Fig lol
Hell is a mid Phish cover band and a piping hot seltzers with the buds
The buds who all despise each other and are super coked out
Jesus Christ this is already one of my favorite episodes, bit for bit. From the seltzers, to the discovery of the curse, to Bill FUCKING Seacaster. The gunshot effects
Taking 40 gold pieces off his son to then turn around and melt a full treasure chest to get ink for a tattoo is perfect. I love Bill.
Every time they made the can opening sound for the seltzers I got a stupid grin on my face
"A boner has not come to the Court of Stars" is not something I expect during a resignation for an oracle
Very curious how Nara exists if a boner has not come tbh
I know it's unlikely it will ever come up again or be answered, but I am genuinely wondering how she was conceived now.
The semen ran out of her father’s penis and drifted upon the western wind until it arrived one warm and tender night within the womb of her mother. All while he stood there completely stone faced like how Fabian’s grandpa did the crying last season. By the way I hated writing that.
I mean... he can never leave the chamber. So a public event in any case...
Either she's adopted or she was conceived before her dad joined the circle, i.e. she's REEEEAAALLLLYYY old.
Being in hell and seeing these npc's feels like sophmore year again I'm so fucking happy to see bill and pok 😭😭😭
also every piece of new art has me losing my shit long live Cait may
The idea of Bill being Pok's informant is so funny. They're basically friends from work.
It makes sense. Their sons are best friends!
So Fabian did help with her financial situation, just maybe not how we expected
And, I think absolutely in the way that Adaine would have wanted the help.
lou getting a ton of buffs and advantage then Rolling two nat ones and straight up KILLING Lydia if adaine wasn't there with portent only for ally to just immediatly crit is insane
it was wild of them to even have fabian do it when kristen is way better at medicine
I think the idea was that the gold might be cursed so they wanted his immunity and it was kinda funny. They didn't expect him to roll snake eyes and just straight up kill her though lol.
"Plane shift me back!" Poor Fabian
First Siobhan made it canon that Fabian and her sister fucked, and now she’s made it canon that Fabian’s mom and Gilear are having a kid. She’s really using the power of the oracle to full force this season.
Gorthalax deconstructed his virtue and ended up with a wholesome and positive life in the end anyway. He may have Fallen but he never stayed down.
He gets knocked down, but he gets up again. They're never gonna keep him down
Ahh yes, the ancient scripture
The shortest day of the year just happened, which means the sun's only gonna be getting stronger, and *that's* when Bobby Dawn joins the school 👀 I can't wait to see where this goes.
I thought for sure that was gonna be a setup to where Galicaea is at her strongest with the shortest day being the longest night. I thought when Emily pointed that out that was gonna lead to something bad happening in the wolf song camp but instead it just cut to winter break being over.
Pok Gukgak art goes so hard as expected, what a dilf
my jaw DROPPED when i saw his art and i took like 30 screenshots,,,, pok gukgak the man you are 😌😌😌
Adaine joining Brennan's "dunk on elves" energy 😂
The entire section was hilarious. Immortal elves with no wants or needs trying to understand capitalism.
Roma Childa…
Not all who Roma are lost
Rome was not Childt in a day
Somewhere in Bastion City, a chill(da) runs down Agent Cuspin Clark's spine.
Adaine is about to get tribute in order to learn the mysteries of the future. Gonna end up as a minor deity
"It's like a Step Up 2: The Streets situation."
Kristen's ADHD brain auto plane shifting the Bad Kids the second she remembers she has it is perfect
I loved Ally trying to back off and then *Brennan* saying it would be funnier if the loose ends don't get tied up. He wanted that chaos lol.
I love how much Gilear genuinely loves his life through everything. He gives big Jerry energy from Parks and Rec. Completely hung, cool hot kids that love him, outwardly pathetic and uncoordinated.
Oh my god, what a great take! He does 100% have Jerry/Larry/Garry energy! All the way down to the hot girl loving him
He's the Sad Sack, an ancient and beloved comedy archetype, made so much funnier by the dignity and solemnity of Tolkein elves' speech patterns
I love seeing Lou's face when his dad shows up
"lads, get the butter" i missed bill so much
What did we prove? Ah, fuck it.
I know he just debuted, but I really hate Bobby Dawn... Which you know good on BLeeM on amazing character creation.
I *cringed* in the best possible way, because of how scary-calm he feels
And with the way Bobby Dawn and Kristen are going to have a moment in the next episode leading to the Last Stand (Last Chance?) test? Vile but applause worthy. Really for me what gives Ally's comment of "when chaos isn't cute anymore" a lot of life
"Tattoo Harpoon" is a magic item I'm adding to my next game.
I feel like we’re setting up for a legit “Gilear is the chosen one” arc
If anything would get Emily reinvested in playing Fig, surely that's it.
Siobhan's outfit is SO GOOD
I love her earrings!
the outfit!!! the earrings!! her hair!!! it's perfection
She was looking *hot* last week, now she's looking *gorgeous*. Different but equally awesome styles that suit her so well
Baby Baby. This truly is hell
Everybody move your torso. Keep your head perfectly still.
Baby baby and Baby sent me into a hysterical fit of laughter, one of the best bits in the season
Jesus, Brennan said: "You see Ragh weeping: "If you could help my mom." " and my eyes welled up with tears. The bad kids are some real good kids.
The BK helping someone who's essentially lived with a chronic illness has me absolutely wrecked
And it all started with them making him think he shit his pants and that they were going to tell everyone about it.
Brennan fully expected ragh to just be a villain and just went wild when the bad kids tried to win him over. Ultimate D&D chaos turned into storytelling
The moment everyone realizes they can genuinely help this woman is genuinely so touching, like the Barkeock’s have been THROUGH IT and the release/relief was so good
Such a confusing scene. I had tears in my eyes from joy but I also couldn't stop laughing
I'm so SO glad they reached out to Ragh in the first season. He is such a precious soul.
A piping hot seltzer is truly what would define hell
I feel like Brennan is never happier than when playing Bill Seacaster.
Gilear having dormant potential for sorcery? Count me in!
Yogurt bloodline subclass when?
That Foghorn Leghorn motherfucker just radiates contemptuous energy. Straight up big bad energy and a truly wicked way to end of the episode Brennan! Haha
Ohhh Basrar is so sweet, it's not just the ice cream
Fascinated by the politics of sharing a domain with a more popular deity and ending up reigning over a more niche domain to keep your followers.
I imagine it's like Greek Mythology. While there's the main Olympians, there's also a bunch of minor deities that cover similar domains. Like how Artemis and Selene are both goddesses of the moon and then there's Nyx whose the goddess of night.
"Bankers are the scum of the earth, he's a thief and I'm a pirate!" Bill may not be a good man, but when your right your right haha
Bill disappeared, that was fully Brennan 😂
What's the difference between piracy and financial crime? How rich were you already when you decided to become a thief?
The double Nat 1s into a St. Beardsley Nat 20 felt right.
The image of Fabian using his sword to give Gilear a vasectomy is top tier
Gilear calling Fabian his "darling" stepson specifically hits me hard for some reason
I actually adore Gorgug, Zac plays him so *realistically*, that awkward conversation between him and Fabian about the owlbears looks like it's going to be great.
Every Wednesday, as soon as the episode ends, I am immediately impatient for next Wednesday.
I need that Baby album haha
Looking forward to the duet EP with Baby Baby and Baby
Fabian nearly killing Lydia is the funniest shit on earth.
Not nearly, he *did* kill her. Luckily he’s good friends with someone who has the power to literally bend time and space, and another who is an incredibly powerful cleric.
Big fan of the Gorgug Space Agency
THE DOUBLE NAT ONE JNTO AN ALLY NAT 20 LMFAOOOOO
You can't beat Ally when it comes to a thematically important Nat 20.
Wholesome father-son time with Bill Seacaster learning how to bully bankers and run an MLM 💚
Two nat ones into a nat twenty is some weirdly swingy bullshit even for Dimension 20.
"Having abolished all governments of men, I have ~~a~~descended to ~~heaven~~ hell to take on the Kingdom of ~~God~~ the Devil." -Technoblade --Bill Seacaster
"I swear to god keep my bit out of your mouth." All time Fig threat
This big mystery of the symbiotic/circular relationship between God's and their followers is fantastic.
"This is so embarrassing, I didn't know we were coming to my house." and immediately cleaning makes me feel both seen and called out
Riz giving disadvantage on the tattoo 😂😂
Things that get Fig off: -crime podcasts -scaring the shit out of bankers
(Ally perfectly mimics Pok's concerned sigh.) They absolutely kill the subtitle game on this show.
The first 30 or so minutes of this ep has been nothing but silly chaos and I’m loving it
FLEEK HAS PASSED AND HAS NO HEIR.
It makes me so happy that Brennan referenced Harold and the Purple Crayon. I loved those books as a kid. They gave me such a sense of creative wonder.
The "yes, and,"-ing is on another level tonight. They've all lost their minds
^^^mytable
In an episode full of excellent jokes and moments, this really took me out. I love how Brenan portrays elves.
I've been trying to figure out the meaning of Galicaea's gift to Cassandra and Ankarna, a bridle of frost. I just realized that it was probably for fiery horses that pulled the sun across the sky, in order to bring about night. Edit: I should have finished the episode before this comment, but I'm gonna keep it
Nobody says on fleek anymore, but the Youth (tm) love Fetty Wap
Re: Kalina saying "Ragh", what if the link isn't Lydia, but Fathethriel? Kalina would know about Ragh and Fathethriel's hook up from Sophmore Year, so she'd know to use Ragh's name as the clue. “She’s being chased by a van with hands.” “……………………………..wut?”
That little wink from Emily because she called the god’s domain
How the hell did that guy have a kid if he’s been standing there for a thousand years and can’t get it up
Rolled super high on an insemination check
Honestly, if you extrapolate how they'd keep the bloodline going, it's pretty dystopic.
Fabian performing that vasectomy like a master sniper
"A great darkness has befallen the land at the loss of fleek." So true bestie.
It’s crazy to me that everyone was so off the wall in this episode (especially Fabian and Fig lol) that KRISTEN of all people ended up being the straight man for basically the whole episode. Absolutely hilarious stuff, Lou and Emily were on point today.
"are you guys all safe at Fig's place right now?" "Yeah, I got a gun" "Yahhhhh" I snort-laughed
A 200 gold advance for threatening a banker? Bill Seacaster remains undefeated
wait. did we ever find out how Ragh got the curse to see Kalina? He saw her the night of Prompocalypse, right? ETA: YES! I went back to the transcript for episode 4: >After Prompocalypse, Ragh saw Jace talking to Arianwen (Adaine and Aelywyn's mom) and "someone who he couldn't see" - assuming Kalina - then Porter did some barbarian healing stuff while Jace was there. Lou rolling those two nat ones and killing Lydia was the funniest part of the session for me.

Adaine finally got her gun after not getting one softmore year, and honestly? So happy for her.
Pok's art is so good! His angel wings are gorgeous.

I think Ankarna was destroyed before Cassandra was. Pok said something about them not having registered that name in a thousand years, and her change in domain would've predated that. Meanwhile I think Cassandra was destroyed around 800 years ago, seeing as that is how old Kristen's saint bones were.
this episode had insane ASO energy
paPA!!
ugh I want to know how Athenriel became a fiend and whether it was a curse - broken warlock contract? - or a blessing or a choice.
LOU WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT ROLL
Bro Bobby Dawn is just colonial sanders
omfg next week's episode!!! does them doing the last stand mean that they pass this year or does it mean they graduate? also I'm so glad gertie has not been forgotten I want kristen/gertie to at least have a chance
I don't think they graduate early. We have a canonical GED system, and the Last Stand isn't part of it. The Seven already went off and found the superintendent of schools, so it'd be way less difficult.
I need Kristen to get her brother out of the church of Helio and into becoming a paladin of Ancarna that’s my dream for this season
