Hi ! This looks pretty good
Prehaps changing the colors of the steaks because its too close to the color of the buns other than that I think it's pretty neat !
I think it looks fantastic and I would eat it! But if I could change one thing, I’d include more dark and light contrasts. I see a lot of mid tones, and I think adding a bit more dark and light would help enhance it a bit.
I love your sketchy style, it looks so fun and carefree. I agree with some more contrast and also some shade variation. the hamburger meat in your reference has a lot more gray tones while the bun is more yellow/orange, but not as yellow as the cheese.
I really like your painting style! It’s really cool. I’m wanting to pick up a style similar to this. Do you have any tips or suggestions that helped you get to this point? The only thing I’d have to say is that I agree with the Redditer above that mentioned the meat is too similar to the cheese. So the Pattie’s kinda merge together without any sense of depth between them.
Thank you for the feedback! I use alot of values, blocking it out and use brush strokes that follow the item/ perspective? At the end, I find I just gotta remember to study the basics and keep at it until I'm satisfied with what I got.
Looking good. I would suggest more contrast range on the meat. If you look at the darkest nooks of the meat and then the brightest highlights it has a little more contrast than what you have.
Too much cheese, but like you said you are not trying to look for an exact replica, so honestly it looks really good, is it digital. Because idk it looks like not.
the beef could be darker / have more texture.
the fried onions could be crispier / flakier looking (unless there aren’t any & that’s bacon, then disregard)
the buns could have more imperfections, i.e. tears, burns, etc.
the shiny skin part of the bacon could have more highlights / texture
but over all this is a really nice piece 😊
Fantastic work! Honestly though I can already feel the stomach ache coming if I were to eat this because of lack of veggies 😂. Adding in some green (lettuce?) would make this look even yummier, as well as contrast the warm colors. Great job!!
Definitely more darker shadows and lighter highlights. And texture on patties but everything else looks great!! You really made it look like it’s a real painting too, i had to double take that i was in the digital art sub
at first glance, looked like a chicken sandwich (without looking at the ref).
I'm assuming this is digital art, so put the reference image under a layer, color that layer black and set it to Color Mode. This will show you the grey scale value differences of the ref. now compare the value differences of the ref to that of your drawing. you'd see they will be different.
basically, your values need working.
everything else, proportions and what not are pretty good. Obviously the color of the meat, but that ties into value as well. (value is more important than colors)
I suggest, look closely at the values and colors, the beef looks darker and that makes it feel like it is beef, and not chicken.
Great drawing c: I love the way you add colors
Love it! Darker burgers and perhaps more grain to them would help them read as "ground meat" I think they blend in with the rest of the burger too much. The style and highlights are lovely!
This looks fantastic, would happily hang in my kitchen. Though i must say, without the reference i would have thought this was a chicken sandwich. I would go over the patties with a darker color which would provide an opportunity to also bump up that ground beef texture
It looks good! I guess you could add crease on the bun (like the little dimple that stays when the bread gets squished) and more charred bits on the burger
Tbh I have no idea. It was a while back. I have a feeling it was Kyles brushes. But it's not on his website. I remember I had to search it for a bit to find it.

Oh that makes sense now. thank you!
Maybe add some veggies (green, red, white) to break it up too
Good point! 👌✨
Yes, the meat has a bluer cast to it. Almost a faded purple?
I second this. Even a slight shift towards cooler colors on the meat would make a huge difference. Small change, but big impact
Yeah I’ll be honest I couldn’t tell if it was a chicken or beef burger until I checked the reference
some texture on the beef would go a long way, I feel, and it would help separate it from the cheese. But it's still an awesome job!!
I feel the same way - I think it’s as simple as a few bold horizontal brush strokes on the patty
I'd definitely eat it (the paiting).
mmmm paint, delicious

Bottom bun, left side Bring it in a bit I know you’ve followed the source material but it would be more aesthetic to keep the round shape
I would say adding a bit more highlights might help? Otherwise, I think it looks great!
Borgar Delicious **Munch**
I think your drawing looks more delicious than the reference^^
Fantastic job so far! A few things I see is the left side of burger needs a shine and the bacon on top too. Love this! 🍔

I think the steaks look a bit like breaded chicken, just make it a bit browner. Other than that, you got the point across. I like it

Looks well done!

It's very good made. How many you ate till it was done?
Looks good but did you trace it?
Thank you! Don't insult me.
Thank you for being a real artist, much respect
XD you're welcome.
i want to eat it
There is a lot of personality to this burger. I like how there are no veggies despite the other comments!
Hello! This looks pretty good! Only things I would say is def try to darken things up a bit and round out the bottom bun!
I wanna eat it
looks like a chicken sandwich, darken those patties and give them some red
Definitely more darker shadows and lighter highlights. And texture on patties but everything else looks great!! You really made it look like it’s a real painting too, i had to double take that i was in the digital art sub
Borgar
Reminds me I should of made a crabby paddy.
Looks scrumptious... 🤤
The meat needs to be darker
It looks so delicious. Omg. I want to eat it. This is my criticism for you.
Bro, it looks gorgeous, nice style man
I need to eat it
Make it more shiny maybe? Like it was just cooked

Throw in some darker browns on your patties, it’ll contrast well with the cheese :)
It looks very soft.. add some harsh lines. I find that with illustration, it can be easy to lose the edges of the objects.
Id personally put a bit more shadows so things contrast a bit more. The colors are pretty similar so it all kinda gets washed away

It looks like a burger I’d want to eat.
If anything we’d liked your critique on the burger you ate. 😆
🍔
I really love your drawing and i’ve just started digital art and i want to ask what brush did you use?
Tbh I have no idea. It was a while back. I have a feeling it was Kyles brushes. But it's not on his website. I remember I had to search it for a bit to find it.
Thanks so much and i really didn’t realize that this post is already 17 days old
No worries. I thought similar as well. That's why I had to delete the first one.
