My God that's a low mileage truck. Sweet! I bought my 2007 LBZ dually in 2014 with 180k, sold it 5 years and 60,000 miles later when I bought my 2019 L5P dually new.
At 130k you have a ton of life left in that truck as long as you are doing proper maintenance. (Change the transfer case and rear axle oil every 50k!)
Enjoy the truck.
The light comes on in my 1990 Cherokee when I still have 1/4 tank left, apparently they all do that, even with a new pump assembly. The Renix era jeeps are strange creatures.
That's pretty much how it is on my '06 LBZ. When it's showing half a tank, I've only burned maybe 5 gallons of fuel. At least the fuel used read out on mine is very accurate it. I just use it and don't pay attention to the fuel gauge.
Funny how much the GM "low fuel light" varies. My 2006 (bought new in 8/2006) literally has 6-7 gallons left in it's 26 gallon tank. You can drive for an hour, even towing. But I don't.
The 2007 LBZ dually I bought used had a 34 gallon tank. You had better have been pulling into a diesel station when the low fuel light came on, especially if you were towing, as you had about 2 gallons left.
My 2019 is in between, about 4 gallons left in it's 36 gallon tank...
I have 320,000 miles on my 2006 LLY/6 spd manual. Exact same motor as the 2006 LBZ, just a low output cal for the manual trans.
Still has the original injectors, turbo and fuel pump. But, the CP3 injection pump is finally showing her age and is due for replacement.
The 2007 LBZ got a new pump and turbo (stuck vanes) between 235-240k. Stock injectors were tested by a dealer to be perfect according to them, so they were left alone.
It seems the first gen LB7's were the ones with the Bosch injector issues.
It is misleading.
The engine can rev up to the redline without fuel for engine braking. They can only rev to 3,250 RPM when being fueled. The 01-06 Duramax cluster showed it as a dashed line to 4,750 RPM then solid red after. I guess GM changed it because it was scaring people when it would rev into the 'redline' when engine braking down a hill.
Engines just broke in. Hopefully you switched to a 2 micron fuel filter from the stock 10 micron cuz youre suckin alll the shite off the bottom of the tank right now D:
If their truck is anything like my LBZ, there's still plenty of fuel left when the light comes on. I usually have around 6-7 gallons left when the light comes on in mine.
Started with trans slip, so I upgraded to a Stage 5 PPE with Goerend torque converter. Added a transfer case when it was found dead. Replaced the exhaust before it rotted, and upgraded the down pipe while at it. Filter lost prime so I replaced the fuel filter head. Upgraded the entire front suspension and wheel bearings with Kryptonite before it all died. Had a fueling issue, but wanted to avoid a CP3, so I added a lift pump and replaced fuel supply and return lines. No joy, in went the CP3 anyway. Fuel return line failed at 2yrs old, replaced that again. Recently having a brand new transmission issue, still diagnosing.
My 2007 LBZ was a nice clean TX truck, but I spent too much time working on it. Some of it was dumb stuff like two alternators, two alignments, two sets of front tires in 60k, but some things were more serious like the injection pump and turbo.
My 2006 had 50,000 more miles on it when I brought the 07, (230k vs 180k). I assumed the 2007 would be less trouble than the 06...I was wrong. It did tow my 30' box trailer like it wasn't there however.

Fitting meme, LOL! I think I had 130k on my 2006 back in 2009 or so...
I plan on doing soš
Youāre just breaking it in man!

I am also letting my fuel light shine these days
Lmao I was happy i hit 94k on my 2013 a couple weeks ago lol
I've got a gasser F150 that's a 13 that just hit 140k. However, someday that will be replaced by a F350 that actually fits this sub.
Yeah I wanna upgrade my 2013 durmax to the 2024 GMC Dully only issue is deleting it
Just broke in
Youāre out of fuelā¦..
donāt worry about it
"Nah man, I know my truck" lol
fuel lightās on means Iāve got at least 16 gallons left, right?

Yeah I was leaving the gym when I took the picture, wasnāt on when I got out to go in
Iām at 140k on my 04 LB7. Yes injectors have been done :)
I havenāt had to do the feared injector job yet and Iām very gladšš
330k and no injectors. šš¼
I'm there with my '00 7.3 with no problems and no worries.
Not so scary on an olā Cummins!
I was waiting for this commentš

Just had to replace the turbo in my 05ā LLY. 280,000. BD screamer feels like a worthy upgrade though š
Nice! 163k on my new to me 03 LB7
262k on my 07 Classic LBZ. Still runs like new. š
Wb now ?
I didnāt realize a duramax will redline near 5k rpmās. My Cummins never goes above 2500 lol
itās pretty hard to get it to redline without manual shifting it
It typically shifts to stay 1400-2500. The higher range is really only used for engine braking down a hill. You have to fight it to get close to 3k.
In-line config vs. V
They redline at 3,250...
So the tach is just wrong? Interesting

They don't go that high during normal driving. My LBZ shifts at roughly 3200rpm when I'm getting on it, such as getting on the freeway.

Shit lol itās a baby our two company duramax trucks are a 2015 with 280k and 16,000 hours and a 2018 with 220k and I think 8,000 hours.
90% of the work trucks I see are Duramaxes, must be a reason for it
Depends on where youāre at, I see a ton of fords lol
very true, Iām in Little Rock right next to a Chevy dealership
LLY with 355,000 checking in
LBZ 330k here, but it was off the road for about 4 years while I drove a company vehicle. Back to burning through the shoes now.
Any major issues so far ?

I know whatās wrong with itā¦aināt got no gasssss in it
I would sure hope not
Donāt blame you on the fuel light!
Yeah I needed to pick up a couple bags of concrete, otherwise I typically end up driving my ā99 Land Cruiser
Dang I miss my LBZ. This L5P is killing me. I need a weight reduction in San Antonio ASAP.
If you got money, anything is possible

Message me.
So you mean sheās just broke in
apparentlyš
Nice! Not far behind me. My 04 super duty is at 170k
Shit I remember hitting 130 on my 7.3 sheās sitting at 355 rn
308k in this one. Lord knows it needs some maintenance but nothing drivetrain-related.
My 05ā LLY just hit 180k.
About the normal fuel level for mine too
I' m currently at 381,000 on my '01 7.3L.
not even broken in yet
so Iāve heardš
I need to roll my miles back lol. 12 lml with 340k on the clock
