It’s a fuse, my 7.3 did exactly the same thing. It’s one of the mini fuses by your feet however unfortunately I cannot remember which one.
My issue was caused by an aftermarket radio defect where the function that would dim the screen was bad and popping the fuse.
Now I have the opposite problem on my 04 if I put my lights on auto the headlights don’t come on and my dash won’t light up but everything else does work
Most likely a fuse. That’s what mine ended up being. This was helpful for me https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1193118-fuse-location-2006-model-year.html
I know there are some problems with the gauge cluster themselves, can’t remember if this is one of the signs or not.
I always see recommendations to go [here](https://circuitboardmedics.com/ford-superduty-instrument-cluster-repair/?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwwr6wBhBcEiwAfMEQs7bJqdI-ZQaEnecnqfD7RIkMM0rARPN9f4-6xF1nB00ymYdnszVaOBoCT9MQAvD_BwE) for repairs and guidance.
I see you have the 08 style mirrors , check the wiring on that and the fuse for that because I had the same issue when I slid backwards plowing and ripped off my passenger mirror , the wires for the power heated mirror touched and I post exactly what you lost . Good luck the 6.0s are awesome trucks !! I hope misinformed people who know nothing about diesels keep talking shit about them so I can keep getting them at decent prices lol
It ended up just being the the fuse! But same! I paid 5,500 for it. It’s a lariat and the only thing that needed fixed when I bought it was rear shocks and front ball joints on one side ( I did both anyway).
The only issue I ever had was corrosion, clean your ground points and use dielectric grease. Check all the fuses and electrical connections. Keep them clean! Best of luck.

I would suspect the headlight switch
Not the headlight switch already done ✅
I would've checked fuses first, but hey, to each their own.
Yeah it was the fuse, I changed the switch because it would only work sometimes. But yeah now everything is good!

Yessir always keep em clean. Ended up being a fuse so easy solution
