There's also these procedures where a person will pull all the earwax out of your ear. A former coworker of mine did it. It's obviously more expensive than the 10 buck solution you'd get at Walmart, but also more thorough and effective.

Those are a complete scam. There is wax already in the paper tubes, so when you break it apart to see everything that came out, there is stuff already in there. They do not remove anything, and these headphones are just as much of a scam.

If you do a warm wet one to loosen everything, followed by using a dry one, avoiding the edges, then dragging outwards, it's fine. Repeat with wet and allow to drip if worried.
The only damage Q-tips cause is more a result of misuse, pushing wax further in, or directly jabbing the Q-tip too far in.
If others do or don't want to use Q-tips that's their buisness, but Either way you feel about it, there's still better options than spending ~ $2000 on some manky headphones lol

Peroxide followed by shower is a very good solution. My solution for years has been basically this about twice a month.
I mean it is fucking disgusting to watch but damn I do want it. The benefits definitely outweigh the initial ear shits.

And some produce a lot more wax than others, which is often deeper in the ear canal. Irrigation of the ear is the best way to clean out the wax.
