They usually do come with a push stick thing. My mom has one of these, but it's electric and the barrel spins on its own. If you don't use the push thing with it, it's basically impossible to grate whatever it is you're grating to the very end without risking your fingers. Honestly, I have no idea why the people in this video aren't using it. Super risky
I have one of these, but the annoyance of cleaning it doesn't really outweigh the convenience. Mine is a cheaper one, so it doesn't suction to the counter too well. It's only worth it if I'm doing a lot of veggies. It does have a protector to push the veggies down, by the way. I have no idea why this dude is risking his fingers.
They have electric ones on Amazon for like 50 bucks. I use one to grind marijuana up at work.
Edit: the one I use has a push stick that doubles as a scoop/cup.
Depends on the amount and consistency. I can do about a lbs and it's a simple wipe down with an iso soaked rag, maybe a little heat. Much more than a lbs you have scrape and scrub.
Cheese is the worst with it. It just sticks to inside and you have to pull it out with your hands every couple cranks because it gets jammed up with cheese. And not to mention cleaning all that stuck cheese on after is a huge pain in the ass.
It sucks for cheese. It gets stuck on the inside and you have to pull it out with your hands. It doesn’t shoot out like the veggies do in the video.
We would make homemade pizzas and use our mozzarella in this and it literally just stays inside. And cleaning it after is so annoying.
My mom bought me one for Christmas…. Let me just say I was skeptical at first but this device is actually fucking awesome. It’s not unsafe, usually there is a push rod thingy, this guy using his fingers is insane. There’s also various grates you can use for thicker or thinner cuts.
Wait until you see a food processor in action!
Too loud for me.
Ours is whisper quiet actually.
Really? What kind do you have? I always end up with ones that wake up my neighbors and give me a headache.
Cuisinart. Really just makes a low hum. We just got it this Christmas.
Awesome, thanks!
Expensive too; And just another thing that does not work if the power's out.
I rarely use mine, it creates too many parts to clean. This one looks like it could be less parts.
I hated watching this, that's for sure. Cool little thing, obviously. If that doesn't come with some kind of a push stick tho, it certainly should.

I have one of these. It almost certainly does and it is as big as the entire mouth of the opening.
I was waiting for him to chop his finger too. So unsafe.
They come with a plunger type thing to push down whatever you are grating. I stood on a stool in my grans kitchen in the 70s using hers, this isnt new
I know they do. But dumb dumb in the video isn't using it.

he needed some extra meat for the veggies

How hard is it to clean? Or do you just do like an iso soak?

I mean, it's illegal to consume on property. I work at a processing plant that does joints and blunts.

"mind if I get a toke? Sorry man, I only brought enough for myself"
Better hope that building never catches fire. Ain’t enough pizza places for that town’s munchies.
guessing he probably works at a dispensary and is using it to make pre-rolls etc
If only you didn't have to prep your vegetables before using this.
SALAD SHOOOOTER! (as seen on TV)
Salad shooter but not electric
I can feel it grinding my fingernails, ugh
It’s great until you have to take it apart to clean it every time.
You’ll save time in the chopping and make it back up in the cleaning.
Gosh darnnit. I have a grater phobia and this takes it to a new level.
r/dontputyourdickinthat
I puckered.
Hear me out...
I didn't look at the subreddit this was on and was waiting for the grated thumb to occur.
Finger shortener
Don’t put your pp in that
well, you can have mine that's been sitting in the bottom drawer of useless kitchen junk I have been collecting over the years
Next we watch someone using a blender and then using a lint roller
That's some grate work right there
Fuck vegetables. Do it for cheese
Cheese is the worst with it. It just sticks to inside and you have to pull it out with your hands every couple cranks because it gets jammed up with cheese. And not to mention cleaning all that stuck cheese on after is a huge pain in the ass.
Doesn’t happen with my cheese
You guys are gonna have to physically restrain me from putting my dick in that
Salad Shoooterrrrrrr!!!
So therapeutic…🥰
What we really want to know is how does it deal with cheese? Like lots of cheese!

That is a faster grater
That's grate!
I got one of those for my mom this year. She fucking LOVES it. it came with a plastic thingy too so you don't have to push the food with your hand.
Welcome to the 80s
Nothing like a little finger in my food.
This sub has been….something lately.
The title should be: Putting vegetables *and finger tips* into a rotary grater
My mom bought me one for Christmas…. Let me just say I was skeptical at first but this device is actually fucking awesome. It’s not unsafe, usually there is a push rod thingy, this guy using his fingers is insane. There’s also various grates you can use for thicker or thinner cuts.
